the lake was natural, so it’s not like “boohoo rich people too bad about your giant swimming pool.” the local environment was falling apart without the lake and youre telling me that no wildlife office was making plans to transport those beavers somewhere else??? people were set up taking pictures of them when the cats got there

no one asked but here are my headcanons for who gave squirrelstar her nine lives;
leafpool duh. it would be a cold day in hell the day leafpool doesn't show up for her sister every single time. i think leafpool would either be cheesy and give squilf a life for motherly love or maybe even just a life for strength.
firestar i think. the erins would do me dirty on this but I like to believe firestar would give squilf a life for like. not being afraid to do the right thing even when it goes against the warrior code, since its such a huge thing that both her and firestar have in common.
shrewpaw. the erins probably forgot he exists but i want him there. idk what he'd give her as a life tho tbh
hollyleaf!!!!!!!!!!!! she HAS to be there. tho honestly might end up giving squilf a life of honesty if shes feeling petty.
feathertail i like to think would show up for Squilf. How?? Idk I just think she would. again idk what kind of life but ya know.
sootfur!!!! squirrelflight comforting him in his last moments when he died during the badger attack and i think he would be one of the cats to give her a life.
sandstorm probably? idk she was a bit shitty towards squilf towards the end there but hey. thats her momma i like to think shed come. if leafpool doesn't give squilf the life of motherly love sandstorm def does.
dustpelt. he was squilf's mentor and even tho the erins never gave much focus to their bond, i do think hed come to give a life to his former apprentice.
ok so I KNOW that the next obvious answers is probably like. juniperkit or dandelionkit but I think id want Foxleap to give her a life! He was her first apprentice and even tho he was a very like. minor character with barely any appearances, i think thats pretty significant!
