I’m quite pleased by how the colors worked out. I finally swatched my little palette and consciously planned the mixes, and I think it really made a difference. Hopefully it wasn’t just an outlier.

I also used masking fluid for the first time. It was good, I guess? I think I was able to reserve more lighter spots than I would otherwise.

idek, this was a color practice and I liked the result.

A (very loose) fanart of the classic Czech fairytale “The Seven Ravens”, done for fffc’s prompt “Raven”.

(If it seems like all art I'm doing these days is for fffc, then... fair enough. I've been sketching daily for almost two months now, but I have zero energy for polished pieces because of that. A prompt with a built-in audience is all that can get me going, these days. I don't know. I feel that right now I need the routine more than I need stuff to publish, but if it won't get less exhausting, I might reconsider.)
