The future of RWBY... ?
With only 20 years in production, the company "Rooster Teeth" closes its doors on March 6, 2024, being closed by Warner due to the low profitability that Rooster Teeth has generated during these last few months. Failed projects, problems with the culture and work environment of some workers and possibly marketing decisions that did not give the expected results ended up being the cultivation of what would be the imminent fall of the company. Being until the date of March 6 in which made known through various articles.
And given the numerous articles that have been circulating about the news, it is estimated that Warner Bros. Discovery will be in charge of selling the IPs, with RWBY being the most prominent series and even the one with the most concern about its direction within all the IPs of RT. This would not only be a very hard blow not only for the team behind the series (CRWBY) and workers in general but it would also result in a shock to the fandom that has been following the series for the span of 10 years. However, the rwby fandom has been speculating about the possible candidates among which have been mentioned:
A24
Netflix
Amazon
CrunchyRoll
Meanwhile, in addition to questions about the management of the series, this can also give rise to "under conditions" support where different "sectors" of the fandom support some of the candidates as long as they stick to their ideas; either for ideas that the CRWBY did not reach or could not yet fulfill, those interests being from both sides of the coin (Radical Shippers and Haters)
However, on that same day at night a new candidate spoke out: DillonGoo Which has expressed his interest in acquiring the IP of the series, in addition to remembering his professional work where he has come to animate the series since its inception. However, he ended up provoking a fiery debate: Whether to keep the original plot or reboot it. And also that the fandom discovered the association of Shane Newville and "DillonGoo Studios". Remembering, Shane came to prominence for being the creator of the letter: "An Open Letter to All Who Treasured Monty Oum." So now it could be said that the fandom has Dillon as one of the most esteemed candidates, but also in its sights since many fear the changes he could make or the elimination of already established elements, added to the degree in that Shane would be involved. As it would also fall within this category of "Conditioned Support" only that Dillon will have it more complicated given that the minimal changes that he makes would be reason enough for the fandom to go against him. So the fate of RWBY will not only remain ambiguous but also waiting to hear more news about more candidates or the possible confirmation of a new owner of the IP.

A Shipper "really cares about the Lore" ?
Hello again estimates.
So let´s go to discuss this question; based on a post on twitter where a "BB" Shipper quote some post:
Tumblr media
Where i ask: Is it real?
Well, although I have no reason to detract from the ability of a shipper to delve into the lore of the work in which said ship is involved.
However, that "interest" for "crumbs" for their Ship could cause a lot of problems, more in the aspect of "their vision on that series/movie/game etc."
And there can originate the same Drama and phrases like: "Are we seeing the same show?"
So i decide to to classify some cases of "Distortion view (at the favor of the ship)" :
Deform or Misrepresent: In some scenes or moments of the series, sometimes the intentions or the message that reflects said frame / moment, the shippers can fall into a questionable or erroneous interpretation (or rather, in a biased and arbitrary analysis) and everything in order to favor their Ship. NOTE: and this complicates things more if a VA is involved. I add this based on this post where the sleepover scene prior to initiation is "reinterpreted." And this clashes with what the series wants to show you vs what the VA wants to "show" you Example:
"Yang was already staring at Blake before Ruby"
NOTE: I clarify that the link provided is for the purpose of showing the content of the post (Or in this case; show an example of how the VAs give an "interpretation" of one of the scenes from V1) The reason for this point and the complement presented is to point out why these types of conflicts arise:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
So it is ideal to have to determine or "analyze" the scenes of the series based on what it shows us, because the influence of external comments + "seeing it as a Shipper and not as a neutral viewer" plays a role in the bias of the analyzes of the series.
Negate: In short, negate some developments, gags or interactions between other characters and everything (repeating it again) in favor of the Ship. So "deny or explain" things like the "Mature" gag (V9C6), and deny that at least in the series there is some "relevant development" in "Whiteknight", or even denying at least the existence of the gag of "Yang purrs at shirtless dudes".
So, regardless of the Ship, you have to accept how the series has "developed" the interaction between the characters
Demonizing characters: In short... "Seeing the series as a shipper" tends to cause viewers to demonize and see the actions of some characters as "toxic" (which, although it may be questionable to a certain degree, is not the intention of the characters). Quick summary: Thinking that Jaune harassed Weiss or Sun being a "Stalker" for following Blake. And I mention this in cases where people treat characters as bad under the label of a "Red Flag"
So despite the question of the characters' actions, one should not over-exaggerate the degree of their actions.
Conclusions:
Although it is good to be a fan of a Ship and be determined to analyze the series (RWBY), you have to keep in mind that for a good analysis of the series you have to really pay attention to what the series shows us, and with This is what I mean by having to avoid any biased analysis of a scene or criticism of a character whose objective is to benefit the ship at the cost of demonizing characters, denying the development of other relationships as their contribution to the character or distorting the intention of the scenes.
And as for the initial question of the post:
Yes, a BB Shipper may know the lore and history of the series but like the others they tends to fall into the previous 3 points to create a biased analysis… "And all for the benefit of their ship."

…Is this serious?
Well, I will be brief since I don't think there is much to go into for this occasion, since all this boils down to a "cursed" comment or an argument that I found in my travels in the depths of "Twitter/X".
Well only in brief context: "An angst moment of Ship BB" is posted on the social platform, well in a few words within those comments, there is one that caught my attention (too much):
Tumblr media
...Well, from the moment I read this I had a reaction that was not pleasant at all
Tumblr media
Okay, let us "review this" first... Breath
What the FUCK does he mean with "Yang doesn't lose her arm if she doesn't have feelings for Blake" ?!!
First, how we generally understand that scene was that:
Yang lost her arm as collateral damage in order to save Someone's life (Blake)
And yes, I give the benefit of the doubt to the individual about the importance that Blake's life was worth to Yang, however the scene remains the same (subjectively):
Yang out of desperation sets out to save a person ( for her "future duty as Huntress") but above all the person has an importance in her life (already on a personal level), so the loss of her arm was collateral damage and such a price "for even trying."
[I know it could sound like an analysis in favor of that ship. But nonetheless…]
So literally saving Blake was something that didn't depend on "whether Yang has feelings for her or not" but rather because she had to do it.
But also something that caught my attention in the comment fragment was:
"if she doesn't have feelings for Blake"
He comes to interpret that: Yang lost the Arm not because she threw herself at Adam without thinking much but in reality she lost it because of her "feelings for Blake."
(According to my interpretation)
But hey, at least we know that Yang is capable of doing everything possible to save her loved ones without giving it much thought… right?
Well, according to V8, she did it by preventing Ruby from being stabbed by neo…
Okay if Yang saved Ruby from an outside agent who wanted to kill her, then it's likely that Yang…
Yang when her little sister (who is also a person of great importance to Yang) is about to drink that cup with the intention of "saying goodbye to the world":
Tumblr media
Wait… "Why is Yang watching and not throwing herself like she did for Bla…"
Because "Mi ciela 💅💅" ...
Tumblr media
You already know it:
Shock factor and priorities of both the series and Yang herself:
If it's not Blake then why would Yang jump in without thinking?
PS: And how curious that before the confession Yang did go to save Ruby from Neo but after the confession Yang does nothing to save her sister from that cup. Seriously, what a poor choice of events by the writers to make the “Bees” canon.

The joke / take / argument about "The Cishets dudes did it again ahh"
Well hello.
As always I make another appearance since I have inspiration to write about the topic of the day. In this case I want to start with a post that I found a long time ago and a recent one, these posts are for reference so I can talk a little about the topic of this post.
Well let's start with the first case:
Tumblr media
Well in the "deep context" is the same discourse about the "Canonical designs vs Fanon or "Fix" redesigns about the cast, in this case the "individual" aimed about how the "Cishetdudes" have an inclination or "preference" about some archetypes of some "redesigns" of Yang.
... So, me being a "Cishet dude"... should I consider this "archetype" of "redesign" like a pander for me?
Tumblr media
... What the fuck?
No . "Where the fuck i should find these "appeal?"
To continue, i also present this quote:
Tumblr media
"All the men in the replies..."
"Mens" in the post: 4 of the 17 replies
1 Sharing 2 fan arts of "redesing" of Yang (not being similar o anything to the "archetype" presented by the "author"; i have to say what that outfits were fine.)
1 Critizing Blake outfit (ended being blocked by the author)
"This is stil better"
2 of the 4 "mens" said that (I don't even know if it was said for irony, but just in case we'll say "yes.") :
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Bonus: a person drags a "redesign video", to agree with the author of the publication:
Tumblr media
"But F0under, you clearly see what they´re joking hehe, they´re mocking "dumb redesigns"
My dear and honorable reader, I know that people make fun of stupid people, however I would like to point out and ask how these individuals have to think that everything bad about "redesigns" being stupid, poor quality and etc. This fandom necessarily tends to say that "The Cishets Guys ...". Although in the case of those 2 individuals who said "looks better" we can leave it in a statement or make fun of the post by saying it ironically.
But anyway, If you ask me about the designs, I think that any canonical or fanon outfit is fine for me (I don't see myself as very demanding)
--------
With this I want to point out what the Fandom is like; especially with the toxic part of the "female fanbase community" tends to be "toxic and prejudiced" when it comes to Yang's redesigns for pointing out an Oversexualization in those designs ( + the "imaginative addition" of believing that the characters' clothing was equivalent to their sexuality... [taking into account the part where she grabs the flag in that fanart]).
As the "first post/case" makes me think of this tendency of using the same phrase, to say a questionable take or make some "rant".
In the next post that will be presented below:
Tumblr media
The author begins by making a mockery of those who make a “Yang x Self Insert” being a reference to the drama “Ships with Yang x Male”.
Although the author insisted (subsequently) that "her publication is not intended to prevent people from shipping any Yang x Male".
The thing is that you immediately think that this is associated with the "Ships between Yang x Male" (regardless of whether the male characters are OC or Canonical)
And within the context (that I understand) it is about how some Fanfics, Fanarts, etc. have existed. That they have always been accused of being cringe and disrespectful. In fanfics: Because of how "Gary Stue" the character is and how poorly they write the characters (especially Yang). In the Fanarts: If it is OC/Canon character it may be because it is a "generic design", as well as how they are represented in said arts.
Thanks to the amount of this "junk content" in this category of Ships, this is how the community has come to imposingly generalize all material that comes from this category (Yang x Male [OC/Canon Character]).
So this category has already become tainted due to its junk content. With this, prejudices and stereotypes for that category are created by the fandom.
But well, anyway. That drama is already so "marked" and "symbolic" that it was honestly no surprise that people made the kind of comments that one would already be imagining… Oh yes:
"PLEAZ, LeT YIkes AL0ne."
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
One thing is that the author makes fun of "Yang x Male" (especially in the trash stories) and that comments automatically appear for her that say: "Keep cishet men away from her (yang).
Which is barely left as "a post making fun of "Yang x Male (due to the issue of poor quality fanfics)" But the question now is that she gived "like" to those comments.
Tumblr media
(Sorry... I have the interface in Spanish)
Which makes the skepticism notable and even more so taking into account that in her words:
Tumblr media
Although, one can agree regarding the need to improve the standards of "M/F Ships fanfics/fanarts and the redesigns of Yang". But the question is when people doubt about the intentions behind "that joke." And this doesn't "help at all" seeing that she gives "likes" those types of comments.
And the problem is that it can be implied that she complements the message of her post with the comments that she liked (taking into account that those comments were written in her same post)
This question and doubt about their intentions arises due to how the fandom is earning this reputation of "Hating Cishet dudes", since it seems its the same about how they called out the "Cishet dudes" who criticize the series but also to the fans of those ships (due to the "profile "from those who make those poor quality Ships)
Coming to imply that any content, criticism, Ship, Fanfic, Au, HeadCanon, and much material that encompasses "FanWork" is destined to be of poor quality, offensive, repetitive, and disgusting, as long as the creator is a "CisHet Dude."
And all this "fame" of prejudice is sustained thanks to a minority of users who end up "favoring" that image of the "CisHet Dude of the fandom" that has been created in the fandom, adding to how they are used so that the fandom can affirm and sustain said prejudices based on the activity of said users.
At this point the jokes or arguments of "Cishet types are like/are like:" are being used noticeably and repetitive way. which regardless of whether they use it as a "phrase", "mockery", "joke", etc. They may unconsciously or discreetly make it clear to the rest of the fandom members about their true mentality.
AND NOT. I am not pointing to narratives of "Male Oppressed" and those mental gymnastics stuff, because it is stupid to reduce the intention of my post to this… so I emphasize: "This topic is about RWBY fans using this phrase and always ending up with questionable comments that make you wonder if they are "/j" or if there is "a double intention."
But hey, at least if you are a "Cishet dude" you will already have the idea that you are not welcome in this fandom almost full of misandrists.
But at least you know that I don't judge you :)
Bonus:
Literally when i see these kinds of posts like: "cYzHeTS SaYiNG / CriTIZNG ...", that makes me think that now they are ironically assuming that my 2 dear (female) friends who watch the series are men... I mean, for them it seems only the "CisStraight Men" criticize:
"Ship of the Golden Eggs"
"The Girl Who let her little sister drink that tea because her sister wasn't her neko girlfriend"
"The character with cat ears who has everything at her favor"
etc
In conclusion:
Tumblr media
"Fucking town (or well, fandom in this context), full of stupid people"
Postscript: Hello, I'm sorry if my activity has been reduced lately, and to tell the truth I haven't forgotten about this account since I love writing posts for you... But hey, the important thing is that I have content to share for you, dear ones.
So I will be (trying to) cooking up more topics that will be presented later. :)

Oh.... that makes sense then
You know, sometimes I wonder how sometimes people (or in this case fans) defend a series so much even when they know the narrative flaws it has (assuming they are aware but ignore them) or praise it so much…
I have to recognize and admire that tremendous dedication and even "loyalty" that they have to remain firm in saying that RWBY "is deep and well constructed"etc.
However, I do not see myself closing myself off from having to listen to points "contrary" to mine, in the end to be able to achieve that "hardness" of criticizing something is to know the defense that you are going to criticize.
BUT, as always in every post I make there is "something" that inspires me to talk about this and to be direct.
In context:
Tumblr media
And it is this type of comments that I think of, those that defend both the canon, its development, the CRWBY, and also justify all the plot flaws, and try to "justify" the contradictions of the narrative through long threads and posts, as well as invalidating, underestimating and denying any comment from someone who automatically classifies as "Critic"or "HTDM" (regardless of the degree and written form) to any text that opposes and questions the idealization of the series.
And in the vast majority of cases I answer that: "Oh fuck it, they don't care about the series, fuck it if they care if the narration of the series is totally stupid, they only CARE about one aspect of that series and the more the Canon exalts that aspect and the majority of fans will follow it blindly."
Because of course, the series can ignore all the fundamentals of its own series even if it forgets important aspects or that they say they have "planned ;) from day one", but of course as long as the writers do not forget that small "detail", " only having to dedicate time and narration so that those fans are satisfied and become "good and obedient children so that they can later be given more candy."
And I don't know if this is one of the reasons why it even influences fandom discussions like:
"What if Yang really is a good sister?"
Damn, these types of followers will say yes, because questioning or denying that Yan is a good sister, could end up questioning “that aspect” of the series? (Keeping in mind that the main topics related to the discussion are related to "that ship")
I know there may be more examples but I think this one can give us an idea… right?
With this example I want to make it clear that although it is not about being ultra pretentious when watching a series and rejecting having to defend aspects of the series, it is more than anything about seeing these fans having to be very defensive because it would be as a sign of "gratitude" in that they fulfill that whim in the series and questioning it would make them feel ungrateful and that is why they cling too much to having that "positive" mentality of not questioning or criticizing anything.
Let's say for example that something happens to "that Ship" like it's no longer canon. So, will the fandom continue to defend the series narratively regardless of its ship? Will the fandom continue to deny the things that are questioned about CRWBY/RT because the whims they gave them no longer make sense? Will they remain the same or will they “automatically” question things?
And so dears, this is how I conclude by presenting my idea of how the majority of RWBY fans who "blindly" defend, is because that defense is conditioned on them receiving their favorite "candy" without caring about the quality of that "candy" and failing to aside the rest of the aspects of the series.

"Remember everyone, she doesn't..." Ah, good for you drama queen.
Well, with the release of the JLxRWBY P2 "short", it seems that a good number of discussions and "takes" are coming up for the fandom.
And I attach the first "interesting" post to… react and talk about? :
Tumblr media
And I just have to comment on something.
My dear Shipper is so "hungry" to have to use this frame to reinforce an argument in favor (for himself and the community) of the iconic discussion of Does yang care about her sister?. Yes or very probably.
I don't feel prepared to exercise my full perspective on that discussion but if we're going to that… then first, I watched the short quickly to appreciate that "moment" and I'll say why suddenly Ruby just… doesn't use her semblance? Honestly, it is something "strange" that she is falling out of nowhere without remembering that she can avoid the fall with the support of her semblance.
And now we move on to the "Funny Frame" of "Yang's Honest Reaction" of which I maintain that…. her reaction was similar to when Ruby drank the "clorox" to be reborn.
Tumblr media
Just look at her...
Tumblr media
She just stands there staring at her sister… doing nothing.
Apparently, Ruby's "overprotective" and "supportive" sister only repeats this "factor" of looking at her and doing nothing while making "Shock" faces.
Well to finish, ironically Weiss did more than Yang to prevent Ruby's fall.
Tumblr media
And to give an express summary:
Okay for the V9 situation it can be argued by the Shock factor; something that I'm still not totally convinced of, but I wouldn't say the same thing in the scene of the short, added to the fact that the shipper wants to reinforce that, Yang does care about Ruby…. if that's the case then Weiss is the divine savior of Ruby at least for the short scene
And in conclusion: Our esteemed shipper shows the need to be right in favor of the iconic discussion through misused sarcasm (or forced sarcasm)…
Tumblr media
Ahhh but if it was Blake who was about to drink the cup or the one who was falling, Yang's reaction would be different, anyway… "Series priorities 💅"

We know, laugh, and rant about Juan Linares (Jaune Luna) BUT....
Well some days ago, the topic of "Jaune being the "writers pet character" has become quite notable in this space and all this thanks to "the director's comments" that have come out especially from Eddy.
And honestly it shouldn't be another surprise for us to see how people in the cast don't receive a consequence or omit said events to pamper their characters.
Yes, Jaune, but I doubt he is the most "favorable" of the cast, although I do not deny what was pointed out to the character, but well, I have hardly seen much talk about a certain character.
And yes gentlemen, to stop "thinking about the subject" I will make this "Friendly Reminder" that not only Jaune is the "writers pet character", but that Blake is also at the same level or higher than Jaune even if it is something "subtle" (from my perspective). Although I have points that support my point of view, which I would like to corroborate and show in a future post, mainly I leave you with one or another point to consider:
Vulnerable profile but it turns out that she is really strong
Script / Plot saving her life
Her harem
The only one with a nice family
Her kiss and confession was given in a "scenario" that gave her their romance in the most comfortable and even easy way.
She will always be right even if she has screwed up from the depths of her being.
Anyway, Blake:"the subtle writers pet character " of the cast...

A Quickly question about... "Him"
Hello, for all the people who comment under the "RWDE" tag I want to ask a quick question.
Given a recent Seeker post that I came across, I started thinking and I will ask:
Why does the fandom give a damn to attempts to "expose" Seeker's behavior?
I know that I myself can answer that question under the argument that: "It is alienated to the correct thinking of the fandom and sugarcoats the fandom."
But I honestly don't know if you have a different perspective that you can share? Because I honestly don't know how that toxic person continues as if nothing had happened.

... Excuse me, are you serious ?! (A quick post)
What's up people, I'm here!... As you know, lately some takes have also been in constant innovation… but to make us laugh, because of how "ridiculous" they become.
Tumblr media
And as always this take is not the first and it will not be the last, and to be direct this is the take:
Tumblr media
Okay, let's inspect this take as always.
Brought new fans to the series.
Okay, I have to assert that as a truth, given that the canonization of BB caused F/F fans to become interested in the series….
Because the truth is, attracting people to watch RWBY because of its plot is complicated (it's something that varies depending on the perspective). And now the FUNNY MOMENT :
> they (BB) broke the internet
My realistic reaction is ... just:
youtube
BRO, BRO!!!
D-D-D-Does he really think..... THINK BB broke the internet ?
I don't know how isolated my esteemed is from the fandoms or even the internet in general, but BRUHH, He wants to compare the canonization of the BB with events (which make a LOT of noise) like:
The elections of Ao3
SexyTumblrMan + The Death of the Queen of England
ShutUpGringo2022 /ShutUpGringo
Ultra Instinct (DBS)
The Gear 5 (OP)
Coming soon because I have Faith: Shibuya (jjk)
"Spiderman no way home" first trailer
Avengers end game and infinity war
Steve in Smash Bros
Ash being Pokemon League Champion!
Ash retiring from the anime
The Closing of Club Penguin
FNAF Movie.
Barbie and Oppenheimer
[What's more, I would like you to support by giving more examples.]
Since all these events were soooo noisy, even more so in comparison to the canonization of the BB.
And do you want to know something else? The "Ruby Homophobic" meme made more noise than the Ship's own canonization. (Even I remember that a big meme twitter account published one of the hundreds that were created)
The truth is that it doesn't surprise me that this Ship is glorified by the fandom, what sometimes surprises me is how they want to glorify it.
So, conclusions: the canonization of BB made noise for its fandom and attracted "super fans" of F/F to watch RWBY, but what came to break the internet?... Yes, of course whatever you say dear. /s

What the….?! and this alucín?
Okay, I can't blame anyone for looking for content on the "fun social network". However, the comments of a certain person have caught my attention. And it wasn't until my curiosity have rewarded me with something that really left me with "My honest reaction". And this was My honest reaction:
Tumblr media
And specifically, this was the "compilation" of posts that prompted me (in these moments) to simply share my thoughts on his comments. NOTE: It seems confirmed that the user is probably CanonSeeker [yeah, "Ese loco del centro de la ciudad"] so the "exposure" to his twitter profile can be useful for Content Creators or simply fans who want to avoid him. So do not think about debating with him since it would be in vain, and in addition to wanting to talk about his comments.
Now yes, to the posts that I want to dissect
First the antecedent
Tumblr media
"Everytime somebody triest to "FIX" RWBY" ?
Here he expresses himself on how the "Fanworks" of the "Fix Fic" category are based on misrepresenting every aspect of the canon.
Although here I will say that I have no references regarding "Fix Fic" in general beyond Celtic Phoenix's "Fixing RWBY".
I start about how he falls into the "generalization" that he gives to the "Fix Fic". And my comment is about how prejudiced he is when talking about said FanWorks.
Although, it may be that before I fell into this fandom there was a time when this type of FanWorks abounded but coming to sin the same or worse errors than those of the series or simply wanting to be pretentious.
But even so, it is not about invalidating that at the end of the day a "Fix Fic" can be considered a fic where the author has to be committed to fixing aspects of it without having to separate so much from the canon, being like a challenge for the author.
And now let's get to the subject.
Tumblr media
This user has commented on suggestions to consider for a "Fixing RWBY" and here is the "short" list of suggestions that Dori/CanonSeeker has shared...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
My quickest and most sincere reaction:
Tumblr media
It is an exaggeration to consider this list as very long, but it is the specifications shown that are "eye-catching". So well lets see line by line the list. My points are mainly focused on the "Fix Fic" section. In which, from my perspective, a "Fix Fic" tries to stay within the events of the canonical series, while at the same time deciding to rewrite elements that were not satisfactory within the canonical execution or additionally add elements that do not try to unbalance of the canon. So, let´s begin:
"Try to focus on the female protagonists." "jaune is a side character. " "Do not make a cis white male have more of a role than them."
For a "Fix Fic" section it is somewhat understandable to keep what would be the main cast, but still it would not be bad to have to explore other characters (and yes, also include the male ones).
"Do not have a straight white male shame them for their actions."
I don't know what he mean by "shame". But if he mention it as a form of "consequence" for the cast for non-positive actions. I don't know what to say, that the team is can be "shame" by any character that doesn't fall into that category… and in case we take it into account I doubt that's the answer, because imagine if other characters [outside this "category"] "shame" the cast, and Doris/Seeker gets angry anyway, it only makes it more ironic.
"No straightwashing. " "keep bumbleby canon."
At this point I don't know what it means, since let's say that the "Fic Fix" is in charge of "fixing"… this "Ship", either due to the lack of growth, moments, or rewriting the "conveniences" of its development.
At this point I can't find a purpose for it because… "A Fix Fic" would not seek to carry out that type of "washing"
"And NO Fanservice. "
Short: If it turns out that he was always Seeker, then this would be… laughable.
But in no short: I think that such situations would not be necessary for a "Fix Fic"…
Don't make evil men "morally grey"
Here I have a question for my estemeed…. If there can be gray morality in the male antagonists or not?
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
And the answer: Honestly, it's ironic to settle for "cartoon" for the male antagonists but both the fandom and the series want to take it upon themselves to give depth to the female antagonists…
Don't have jaune or adam date anyone in team rwby.
Okay, and I ask again: Is a romnace necessary for a RWBY Fix Fic? And I want to apply this in general. Because if you are going to make a "Ship" in a "Fix Fic"... it would be with too much care and detail
Ruby is to be idealistic, and it shouldn't be a character flaw.
Doesn't the fact that a character has no mistakes make her a "Mary Sue"? and even more so for the fact that he wants Ruby to be idealized.
Yang is not a party girl, not alcoholic, and not a slacker.
From a "Fic Fix" point of view, ok, it's well aimed to NOT downgrade a character to be a "party girl, alcoholic, and a slacker."
BUT : ) , they can simply be aspects or defects so that there is a challenge or a purpose to overcome, but not reduce the character to what was mentioned
(But ironically to reduce it to half a Ship, there they are quiet)
Adam taurus is irredeemably evil. So is torchwick.
… I don't have anything relevant to comment except for the fact that you can make an "irredeemable" character, BUT : ) the same is how it is written / handled…
One (Adam) being able to offer more crumbs and (Roman) the other would be a "enough but I wouldn't complain if there were more"
Don't call it a rewrite or a fixit fanfic. Call it an AU. A fan AU.
In short: Depending on the story you write, as well as the one you want to "tell" is what would classify the "Fanfic" as an AU or "Fic Fix". As I said, the "Fic Fix" in the end would enter the category of FanFic but its purpose would be a more ambitious one. (in the sense of giving yourself as a challenge to "improve" the deficient aspects of a series)
That will show your respect to the show and its writers. And showing CRWBY writers Miles and Kerry that respect will cause others to give your work a chance.
And the only salvageable thing at this point is basically: "The impression", honestly you would cause a lot of distrust to most of the fandom by being "rude" with the CRWBY, but hey, it's not like it's not a guarantee that the fandom will give a chance to a "Fic Fix" for the same reason that the fandom is also very "defensive" when it comes to aspects of the series, to such a degree of humiliating or harassing the author because "he had ideas that could hurt the canon" . A good impression does not guarantee a positive reception from the fandom to your "fix fic".
And to give a quick conclusion: Apparently the "Fixed" version or idealized for Doris/CanonSeeker is the "over exaggerated" representation (or flanderization) of what RWBY is... And last: I know that I argue when it is a "Fic Fix", and in the case of an "AU" I will only tell you that: Have fun as you also have fun when structuring and making your AU story.

I know I’m gonna say the same but at least some more… extra additions.
I just i don’t know why these “fans” (or maybe the misandrists who are self-projecting 24/7 in a Neko emo reader girl or in a strong one… but that’s for another topic) are sooooo scared of being “Overshadowed” by some “mlm ships…” ?.
Friendly reminder that their ship “Ship” literally:
Was constantly poked and teased by the show and by the CRWBY themself by the pass of the time (Panels, podcasts and a lot of etc).
2 of the VA are super “Shippers” that are also the responsibles for making hype about it.
The famous phrase: “Planned from the very beginning”
The couple is literally a ship with “no flaws”.
What’s my point?
Why are these “fans” so scared or mad because maybe some people would fell more comfortable than the “golden couple”?. I can bet a lot what CRWBY would make purposely the “other ships” with flaws, being toxic, undesired, etc. with the purpose of not overshadow the ship since it has the most number of members in this fandom.
So this “fear” and “mad” is just a mere an imaginary tantrum that the ship would have competition, but we know that the ship is the main focus of the show.
In conclusion: Is the ship really gonna be overshadow?, a ship what is sell as the “Planned from the very Beginning”, a ship what is presume that it is divinely built, a ship what “Make a loudly disaster by their confirmation”, or is presented as the “Golden Standards for WLW” gonna be overshadow by some mlm pair ? Well is the fear of some mlm ship overshadow all that “building” in a easy way (in the case CRWBY doesn’t make that “mlm ship” fail, toxic, horrible,or end in tragedy) becomes real maybe… it means what that build was never stronger.
Honestly if an mlm ship could potentially overshadow a ship like bumbleby in the eyes of these fan, I think it says more about the quality of bumbleby than it would about the mlm ship.
The misandry in the fndm is way too damn high.
Honestly the misandry in the fandom is indeed way too high for a fandom that preaches peace and love and not toxicity yet the rwby community is one the most toxic I've ever seen
And to further add on what you said if these fans deep down know that the quality of bulmbee may not be good then these fans are even more hypocritical

I feel like you're somewhat incorrect about the greenlightvolume10 hashtag. Going by comments from Kerry Shawcross V10 will happen but there are questions of WHEN and a significant part of that equation seems to be Crunchyroll.
Promoting the hashtag is a way to show support and maybe get CR to move a little faster if they see the demand.
Okay, so now we already know what Volume 10 is gonna happen…
But there’s something that i don’t have clear and is about, where does CrunchyRoll enter in this equation ? Because, we already know what CR is only the distributor of the series because RT make a contract with CR for distribution of the series under a “contract of exclusivity”.
Is the main issue you’re saying is about: “When is gonna be out” ?, alright is something valid to feel insecure but this is more an aspect revolved about the negotiations between RT and CR. Because (i repeat,) is known what in the end the ones who have to develop the show is CRWBY and CR only receives the final product to show us as the audience. Despite the recognition of showing support, the real support is about how CR see this “invest” for their benefit.
So, the # is about to encourage CR to continue with the partnership????, Okay i guess you have a interesting point, is just what in the end we have an influence in making the support more loudly but not necessary being the ones who make the last decision bc this involves Rooster and Crunchy Roll. Since the “demand” is in how much people support RWBY by watching it in CR.
Also, the “Greenlight” (as a concept) implies to receive a budget for the payment of the workers to develop the show, so its more clear what is more probably for RT/CRWBY to have the budget (more sure since the “4 events” what i mentioned in my prev post), so the thing about CR to “move a little faster” is in how only the demand is more influenced in how many people watch the show and in how the contract between RT and CR finish…
Extra: And we have to think in how the contract is involving with the deadlines for the deliver of the show from CRWBY because of the part “get CR to move faster”.

My thoughts around the "#GreenLightVolume10"
Well this is going to be a mix of some topics of which also goes hand in hand with the main topic about what I'm going to talk:
The Hashtag: "#GreenLightVolume10" have a truly impact when is about "Helping RWBY" ? Without the #,Is RWBY gonna be in a bad situation?
My quick answer for it would be: No, i dont think so, i know the hashtag made noice as a way to “encourage” but we know Vol10 will get the green lights, and why are you even thinking that RWBY is in a "red situation"?, seriously.
But for the Long answer im going to start:
Context:
The hashtag #GreenLightVolume10 was created in early April (approximately). It is unclear for me which tweet started it. I know that at least two Twitter users were among the pioneers who initiated the trend. The primary objective of the hashtag is to encourage Rooster Teeth to confirm the 10th volume or season of RWBY.
At the moment where the trend spread, a committed sensation was created to spread the hashtag so that it would be possible to continue with the RWBY story.
Many fans started to create numerous fanworks to this day, with a significant amount of new fan art featuring the included hashtag.
Where even the CRWBY members on the "RXT Austin 2023 panel" utilized that hashtag to promote it to the audience.
Tumblr media
Source of the image.
Making in that way to impulse even more the support of the # which is still active.
And here is where i start to make a reflection about the way that # represent and if it really show us that: RWBY is in a real “critical moment”? As also in how the fandom is reacting about that and how probably RT/CRWBY are taking advantage of it.
And in my perception this topic involve 3 “main actors” what are related:
The fandom
CRWBY
Rooster Teeth
The Fandom:
In my perspective the fandom has fed this # given the context about the fear that RWBY will be cancelled, this being a fear since Rooster Teeth became a subsidiary of Warner Bros, adding to the fact that the WB itself has been canceling projects lately. This news It has created fear to the Fandom, which caused the motivation to promote RWBY in order to attract as many new people as possible with or without the use of the # (Leaving the possibility that in more radical cases this could spam, both in comments that are or are not associated with RWBY).
Tumblr media
And the point what I’m trying to reach is what the fandom itself is in a state of Gaslighting themselves due to that constant and uncertain fear of “RWBY being cancel” leading to the compromise of promoting that hashtag more and more.
CRWBY
CRWBY at the moment of seeing the reaction of the fanbase, they decided to support and encourage to continuing promoting the #.
From examples im in completely aware is Kerry by saying to continuing the #
Tumblr media
Since I cannot find the post that directly mentions "continued support" other than the one seen in "RXT Austin 2023 panel", I can at least confirm that the mention was made. (Where I allude to a possible post by Kerry; in case he made more mentions)
Well, and another example what we all know is of the “RXT Austin 2023 panel”.
These shows of support show that (from a fan's point of view) the CRWBY is capitalizing on the feeling of: "The people have spoken", to show "pressure” on Rooster Teeth, and so the fan feels that the CRWBY is also playing this role of "saving RWBY" and continuing to support and promote the # because they are "backed" by the same CRWBY.
Rooster Teeth
Talking about Rooster Teeth is undoubtedly something "complex" given the controversies the company has been involved in, but in this case I will limit myself to mentioning the following. From my point of view, RT can be anything (in terms of its controversies) when it comes to being a bad company, but I attest that RT is not stupid, knowing that it depends on money to continue to exist and not go bankrupt, it needs to keep its main sources of income afloat, with RWBY providing it with the most funding.
Where I have the expectation (and my comprehension) on how RT distributes the financial source, then I have the idea that Rooster should give more importance to those projects that bring them more profit, so it could lead to a hypothetical situation where other RT projects or shows have to be on a long hiatus or, worst case scenario, end up being "canceled" so that RT saves its funds to invest in its most profitable projects
Also i have to add in how recently Rooster Teeth generated money and incomes based in 4 situations:
Bumbleby Merch:
Thanks to the fact that the shippers "starved" through this time step until their confirmation in V9. Finishing by ecstatic the community and adding the fact that BB shippers are a large majority in the fandom, being the perfect opportunity to present the "Official BB merch" a few weeks after its confirmation. The merchandise in price aspects, I consider it (on a personal level) a bit overpriced…
But hey, "if it's official BB merch, then it's worth buying, right?"…
And, unsurprisingly, by the end of the day, the merchandise had sold out.

And that’s the merch what were release in the few weeks, and not forget the addition of new ones and finally the merch that was promoted in “RXT Austin 2023 panel”.

So this is how I want to express that one of the factors in making money is the number of "BB shippers" showing their support for CRWBY (and indirectly Rooster Teeth,"But hey, who is the owner of the shop like the one that makes and distributes BB merchandise?)
Gains given with the distribution by Crunchy Roll
I want to clarify what in this point is more speculative from my point of view.
Their distribution in the platform of “Crunchy Roll” has contributed with the amount of 15.5K reviews of 4.7. Where the comments what i saw in the reviews were in general positives.
Making look RWBY at least something “fine”…
And i remember something else related to it and i wanna talk about it quickly: Is Crunchy Roll gonna acquired RWBY?. Honestly I’m doubt because i don’t see it beneficial for RT to give the show by the same reason in how RWBY benefits RT. But still Crunchy Roll gonna be the distributor of the series.
The tiny gains with the Crossover with DC
Well, in this case, the film that was released I consider "50/50", taking into account that it received a mixture of opinions about what revolves around the film, so I can't confirm if it managed to obtain a good income, nor can I confirm if the film turned into a disaster. As I also add the fact that "RedBox" premiered the film before the official date, which may have affected the film's revenue.
Well, maybe we have to wait for the second part and see the “final results”
Gains given by the “RXT Austin 2023 panel”
The convention of Rooster Teeth which started on 7-9 of July, was also a good source of income for the company, where in this case: Selling merchandise of RWBY (Also by the fact that RWBY being celebrated for its 10th anniversary) oh and a few BB merchandise what i made mention in the first point.
Note: With the confirmation of more “Camp Camp” and “RvB” makes me doubt: "If your best project is in danger, how can you give the green light to 2 other projects? 10?". I really want to believe that RT has this "control" over the management of investment in its projects.
Tumblr media
And I want to clarify something!
I am NOT supporting or defending RT!. Although I know that I argue that RT knows how to manage its projects and how it should be in a "stable" situation. I am NOT putting aside all the controversy surrounding RT, honestly RT can "fuck off", but as I said at the beginning of the post, RT is not stupid enough to not give attention to their best "gold mines". ", because without money, RT collapses.
And I add at the last moment: I doubt that RWBY will become independent of RT due to the fact that some members of the CRWBY are associated with RT (leaving aside if they knew about or covered up these controversies) and also how RT benefits the members of the CRWBY.
Everything mentioned was to indicate that RT must be "playing his cards right" in order not to lose RWBY, and NOT for showing support or something related.
Tumblr media
My conclusion:
With all of the above, I hope to make my point clear and show why I think the "purpose" of using #GreenLightVolume10 has been somewhat exaggerated by pointing out how it has been exaggerated for something that is very likely to happen.
Also, I’m not trying to stop you from promoting it with your artworks, comments, or etc. My intention is to point out how scandalised the purpose of the # has become, to the point of having to cling to it as if the series depends on how active the # is. I don't deny that the # is a kind of "support" or "reminder" that people want more. But really, so much noise has been made to promote the #, for a thing that depends on the budget that RT has to give it to RWBY and thus generate their "investment".
In summary:
The fandom deludes itself into believing that RWBY is "in danger of not continuing with Vol10" (as if RT didn't make the necessary profits). Add to this that CRWBY, along with RT, are using the # trend as a way to save the ad section, as this # works as a "hype train" for them as a good marketing medium. Making a lot of noise so that in the end always the vol. 10 got his green light like that.
Leaving "#GreenLightVolume10" on the brink of becoming a media circus…

Extra:
If (RWBY) has a good ending, at least it was worth it .
But if it has a bad ending, there is nothing you can say or regret, because you have already invested in it, they have done their thing, and you just have to eat the ending you were so excited about because you wanted it to go on.

Loading... Hi!
Well my estimates, that's enough. I introduce myself as: "F0under". And for this post I give my introduction where I make clear the content that I am going to show.
I make this account to share my thoughts about situations related to Fandoms (dramas, "hot takes", etc.), being recent or not, as well as pointing the fandoms in which I am mainly active. So it is clear that everything that is going to be published later is under the label of "Direct thoughts without thinking about the reaction of others”, and finally using the support of external thoughts/opinions of people who are close to me (under the anonymity) . Oh!, and i want to add what im going to also share my thoughs about some aspects of the series what im seeing, so, im gonna share my interpretations of them.
I hope at least that my ideas become an addition to add another perspective about certain topics.
So I hope you enjoy the mess that I am going to present to you : )
