Well this is just dark.
Last mission of Dishonored 2. Instead of coming back to Dunwall in ruins, its beautiful. Rose bushes everywhere, streets of marble. Statues of Delilah are everywhere and the towns people are admiring them. There are no guards cause why would there need to be? Nothing bad happens here.
Its once you get closer that it begins to be off. Get close enough to the roses and you realize that its growing from a corpse of someone who had gone missing the other week. The statues follow everyone, and everyone knows they need to speak nicely about them or else. There are no guards but there are many woman with flowers growing from their skin wandering around. You hear people in hushed whispers trying to break free from the haze they’ve been trapped in.
Imagine Delilah trying to make the world look perfect but everyone knows that underneath, its just wrong

friend of mine pointed out Aramis Stilton was gay and had a bf ??? IS THIS TRUE (i must have totally missed this in the crack in the slab mission if its true)
ITS TRUE
it wasn’t just any old dude either, it was the old duke Theodanis
it’s referenced a couple of times, in an audiograph aramis says “I’ll sit on my anger, remembering what Theodanis meant to me.” and more explicitly the heart says "He laments hosting their silly séance at his home. He indulges the young Duke, because he loved his father.”
present day aramis will also say something along the lines of “warm the quilts, won’t you theo. I get the feeling its gonna be a cold night”
im pretty sure the current duke references it as well, saying something like “he and my father were…close”
i think there may be a few more references that i’m not remembering atm but yeah, aramis stilton and theodanis abele were very much boyfriends
