I got 22! I am Southern! Actually I am Canadian and whenever I have been in the South, I went out of my way to try the foods. I still crave some of the stuff I had when i was there. BTW where is a Muffuletta Sandwich? I would trade my child for one.

I’m not a big fan of using all the pig but the squeal, so I’ve always passed on souse, pickled pigs feet, liver mush, and fatback.
And some of these are the culinary abominations ladies bring to covered dish luncheons or are served at the fellowship hall on Wednesday nights, like canned pear and congealed “salads,” which are just vile.
But the real problem with this test is that the South itself is regional. The list has Creole and Cajun dishes, Low Country specialties, and staples of the Tidewater, Gulf Coast, and Appalachia regions all mixed together. If you were raised in Athens or Rome, Georgia that is, you might not encounter half of these, but you are decidedly “Southern.”
I mean, @serpentinesheldonserpentine lives in New England, but I doubt he drinks coffee milk like they do in Little Rhody (probably best not to get him started on whether po’boys are really subs, hoagies, grinders, or heroes, either).
Even within the South, I doubt @golftangohotel, from whom I lifted this meme, and I would agree on barbecue; as a Memphian, I would presume he likes dry-rub pork ribs, whereas I favor Eastern Carolina pulled pork with cole slaw.
If you wanna know who’s really Southern, ask how they feel about Dolly, Johnny, and Hank and what’s their SEC allegiance.

I cannot drink coffee anymore because of my heart condition and the fact that it doesn't do any good for my anxiety disorder. It's been almost 3 years since I have had a cup of coffee. No caffeine coffee sucks and I feel the same about it as I do about de-alcoholized beer, it just makes me ask "Why bother?". But sometimes I miss it. Coffee actually tastes good and it's kind of a nice ritual. This morning I found myself craving coffee massively.

kristi noem shot her dog. on purpose.
when i first heard this, i knew shed use the "farm life" excuse, but reading into it, it wasnt cause the dog was so severely injured and that waiting to bring the dog to a vet was going to take so long that it would be more humane to do it herself. NO the fucking crazy disgusting conservative republican shot the the puppy, named Cricket, because he attacked some chickens instead of attacking pheasants which she was trying to train the dog to kill. the poor 14 month old puppy attacked the wrong kind of bird, so kristi noem took the puppy to a gravel pit and shot it in the back of the head. its so fucking insane! its so fucking demented! she should literally be in jail for animal abuse.
and this is all from her memoirs, so she freely admits it in her book. she told the fucking crazy story to say she can do the “difficult, messy and ugly” things when necessary. no bitch! youre fucking crazy! its fucking unhinged! it fucking abuse!

Also last night I read an article about Jon Bon Jovi and the new docuseries about Bon Jovi on Hulu and (Disney+ in Canada) and a part of the article really jumped out at me. it's this...
"...he’s always had this sort of Tom Cruise quality about him: He has the ability to say a lot without really saying anything at all. I listened to him on the Smartless podcast and part of Conan’s podcast this week, and I’m always left with the feeling that either he doesn’t have a particularly active interior life, or he hides it well."
YES! That is it, that is exactly why I was reading the article and why I amy watch the series. He fascinates me. All people like him fascinate me. People who have so little interior dialog that it feels like you are talking to someone reading off of cue cards. Tom Cruise as mentioned. It's like they are both these figures that if you held a thermal camera up to them in the dark you would see nothing, there is no heat in the furnace.
I have heard directly from someone who has met her on a bunch of occasions that Shania Twain is like this. And I get the feeling most people who are newsreaders are like this, just an absence of internal theater and self-awareness.
And even worse is almost, ALMOST, every Republican or Conservative and their supporters that I have ever met and ever seen. This is exactly it, this is the key. This is why they're still following Trump, why they are are still drinking the Kool Aid. There is no introspection or internal examination. What you see is all there is and they ask nothing more of anyone else. And they hate Leftists and Democrats and Socialists because of that. We scare them, we are guided by emotion and thought and seeking, EMPATHY! And those things are so foreign to those people that it is as scary to them as an undocumented illegal immigrant they have been told is coming to rape and rob them. I believe this with my whole being. Every single one I see on TV and have ever known in my family or acquaintance. They lack a deeper self. That is the key to what makes a person become entrenched in such idiotic and terrible things.
Anyway here is the Jon Bon Jovi article if you're interested. It is about how he has stayed married for 40 years...ANd a sort of speculation of what he is telling us.

Last night I read an article written by a Canadian who travelled to Iceland and they noticed that groceries, home goods and personal needs items cost the exact same on that tiny isolated island nation as they do in Canada. The prices are actually less for some things. This is a nation that has to fly and sail EVERYTHING in. I watch a lot of Japanese travel videos and I see the same thing in Japan. In fact Japan is much cheaper in the day to day needs column than Canada. This is such a hard place to be right now. And it breaks my heart because it wasn't like this 30 years ago. We are being robbed and beaten and taken advantage of.
