i picked up a bunch of comic books last night, mainly dwd. spotting the second issue at the store by surprise only to fall into the rabbit hole and start binging the show is actually what started my darkwing obsession! it’s wild to think that was only a matter of weeks ago.
at any rate, spa day drakepad is vital to me. some more of my favorite panels under the cut.
this whole interaction…. OUGH ….. i love it when LP gives drake the sass in his adorably endearing way <3
this whole interaction. they’re such an old married couple for a couple of guys who can’t even confess to each other
LP back at it with the sass. i am SO glad they got this right in the comics, because i feel like this aspect of his attitude often goes underutilized!

i apologize for the spam, idk if you're still into Darkwing, but I vaguely remembered your Sara Bellum redesign and had to track it down! I have my own DWD AU and at this point I think your Sara version is pretty much canon to it 😅 I hope that's okay! she's so well done!
Ahh!! Thank you so much that's so nice to hear. I absolutely loved Sara in the original show, so I couldn't pass the opportunity to do a lil redesign in line of Ducktales lol.
I'm still into Darkwing :> it's just taken a back seat to other shows that I'm currently into (and has new content) so if Darkwing ever does get a reboot (whenever that may be) you can bet on my ass jumping back to that show lol

Why is Ma Beagle’s name Catherine ?
When every other Beagle in existence is named with a B name...??
If they wanted to give her a grandma name they could have called her Beatrice....
Is it a reference ? Was her non-beagle parent just Stubborn as hell ? Was she given a B name and then CHOSE the name Catherine? Was it a power move? Was she adopted???
No set theory here, I’m flat out flabesgasted.

Same As it Ever Was, Part One

Drake has never seen that much red.
When he was eleven, the bloody nose he got in exchange for having his aluminum lunch box slammed into his face was the most red he thought he’d ever see.
When he was twenty-nine, he thought the explosion that consumed Jim was the most red he would ever see: the flames and the thick black of smoke that followed, the embers drifting to the ceiling as Drake fell to his knees.
This red puts all those to shame.
The portal in the center of the Ramrod is little more than a sliver, hovering in midair like a papercut in reality. It spits sparks that blow out the lights and the aperture widens, angular and tinged white with power, bathing everything and everyone in its bloody glow.
Five days ago he was accidentally attacking movers out of desperation to get views and now he stands on the precipice of reality tearing itself apart.
Drake has never been more out of his depth.
But it’s not fear for himself that keeps him going, keeps him struggling back to his feet as Bulba and the Fearsome Four rain blows upon him.

Things that I really want to know/happen in the Talespin episode:
1. Dewey and Kit bonding.
2. Flashback of little Della, Kit and Molly with cameo appareances of Baloo and Rebeca.
3. Dewey vs Don Karnage (again)
4. Huey reminding all the people present that they have to find the missing mystery of the week... I mean, the book.
5. An explanation of who is this Don Karnage. Is he the original Don, a son, a heir, a big fan, a clone? The possibilities are endless.
6. If he is not the original, this new Karnage could feel that he's not good enough filling the role of the original, maybe saying he is aware he doesn't have the unique voice of prime Karnage (also a Take that! to the people who complain about Jaime Camil's voice)
7. Mention/apparition/cameo of Shere Khan and/or Khan Industries. Maybe acknowledging that Khan is the richest tiger in the world (everything involving the tiger is welcome)
8. Kit and Molly talking about their parents/ parent figures (expecting many "awwwws" in future reactions)
9. Molly as Danger Woman action!
10. Kit realizing the package he was carrying is from an evil organization and giving them to the ducks, or the ducks telling him what is F.O.W.L.
11. Kit, Molly and Don Karnage being wanted people in F.O.W.L.'s list of threads so they can appear in the finale as well.
12. Another F.O.W.L. twist at the end of the episode.
13. More sky pirates shenanigans.
14. LET. DON. KARNAGE. SING.
Something that I REALLY DON'T want to happen:
Someone saying casualy that one or more beloved characters of the original Talespin died years ago. That is just... NO.
