More Career Tracks for Sims 4

FACTORY, FAST FOOD AND GROCERY CAREER TRACKS

Compatible with update 1.97.62.1020! (April 26, 2023 patch)

One day when I was driving home from my boyfriend’s house I was noticing the lack of ‘blue collar’ careers tracks in the Sims 4. So I thought, just why not make my own mod? Made with Mod Constructor V4 By Zerbu.

Works with the latest patch! and previous ones so legacy players should be able to play! (I tried it on a old laptop that hasn’t updated sims 4 since 2019 and it still worked. Didn’t play for long cause laptop sounded like it was going to explode.) Want your sims to work a full time career in Factory Fast Food and a Grocery store? Then I have made mods for that!

Factory and Fast Food career tracks are base game only. Grocery Career pack requires Seasons Expansion Pack due to the flower arranging skill in the Floral Branch.

Factory: The full time position contains 3 branches. Management, Product Designer and Undecided. 2 part time options with 1 being on the weekends and 1 on Saturday and Sunday with short hours.

Fast Food: Full time, No branches but has 10 levels.

Grocery: Full time contains 6 branches which are Bakery and Deli, Barista, Floral, Guest Services, Overnight Inventory and Pharmacy. 3 part time jobs with 1 in general grocery, 1 in overnight stocking (Exclude teens) and 1 stocking job that is teens only.

In the future I will make a base game only of the Grocery Career if there is a demand for it.

Step One: Download Post Here

Step Two: Unzip the file and it will make a folder

Step Three: Copy and Paste into your mods folders. Make sure the folder is not more then one folders deep.

Step Four: That’s it, it’s easy as pie!

Update 4/18/23: after uploading the files, I have noticed some grammatical errors. I plan on having it fixed by the time I add more career tracks.If you notice any that I have missed, please let me know! Due to english being my second language unfortunately.

Update again 4/19/23: Found out my sims can’t take vacation days with this mod and currently trying to figure out why.

Update 4/19/23: Turns out the careers I made in mod constructor v5 can't take PTO off work. But careers made in v4 can take time off work. I will be remaking careers in that program instead.

Update 4/19/23: Okay what a roller coaster it’s been. I have decided to recreate all my careers in Mod Constructor V4. Downside is, I cannot use the cool custom images I have made for the custom careers I have made and have to use EA images/icons. No biggie but it is a disappointment.I added a weekend part time factory position, another factory part time job that is for teens only and added a part time grocery job. Until further notice, my career mods will be made in mod constructor v4 unless Zerbu fixes the bug associated with v5. Cause unfortunately with the growing together expansion pack, sims suffer from burn out and it would be a bad thing if they can’t take time off work to relax. Just like real life.

Update 4/20/2023: Fixed hourly rate for part time grocery career cause level 2 and 2 were at 0 per hour and added bonus

Update 4/21/2023: Moved Grocery part time career to the general Grocery Career pack instead. Made my grocery mod finally ;-;

Update 4/22/2023: Fixed sentence structure and wording on the expert cashier level.

Update 4/22/2023: made the fast food career into it’s own separate package. If you downloaded the fast food and factory package, You do not need to redownload the separate packages.

Update 4/24/2023: changed fast food hours for levels based on feed back changed hours of 1-3, 4-6, 7-10 career levels. Changed Hours of work for grocery career as well.

Update 4/27/2023: Fixed spelling errors in inventory clerk position. I do apologize if any of you find errors in spelling on this mod. Please send me an “ask” on my tumblr so that I can correct it. I am open to suggestions as well. Also made factory part time careers in their own packages so players can remove them if they don’t want them in their games. I switched the teen only one to less hours and so any age can get the job.

Info about careers in my More Careers Mod

I will be updating this post about info about the career tracks when I have more time. it’s a lot of Copy and Pasting. Use CTRL F to find the career you are looking for. So far I only have descriptions for the Factory and Fast Foods careers in this post. I will eventually put up info about the grocery career here when I have the time to copy and paste info.

Factory

At Sixam LLC. We make parts for every day necessities, such as phones, pc, cars, etc. You name it, we make it! Why not join our company and learn a new craft? With only 4 days of work with 10 hours each, your sim will have more time on the weekend to relax and spend some time living. You will be in a building away from the public, so you can wear whatever you want to work! Remember to tie your hair back and not wear loose clothing as it can get caught in a machine. We offer a generous package by offering more PTO than other companies. No high school degree or higher education? No worries we accept everyone from all walks of life! Branches include Management and Product Designer. There is a third branch called undecided but you must have MCCommandCenter to restart your branch.

01. Button Pusher

S,M,T,W,T,F,S 9am-7pm §10 per hour

Requirements for promotion:

None

Until {0.SimFirstName} can prove {M0.he's}{F0.she's} capable of being a good worker, they will just remain a button pusher until they prove themselves to not make bad parts.

02. Entry Level Laborer

S,M,T,W,T,F,S 9am-7pm §20 per hour Bonus § 100

Requirements for promotion:

Handiness level 2, Fitness Level 2

{0.SimFirstName} made their way out of being a mediocre button pusher and finally entered into the world of factory work. Rev up those fitness and handiness skills because those are essential skills in order to survive in the environment.

03. Experienced Laborer

S,M,T,W,T,F,S 9am-7pm §30 per hour Bonus § 200

Requirements for promotion:

Handiness level 3, Fitness Level 3

{0.SimFirstName} has made it past entry level and is more experienced in making parts.

04. Expert Laborer And Assembler

Requirements for promotion:

Handiness level 3, Fitness Level 3

{0.SimFirstName} is now an expert on making almost every part that Sixam LLC makes. The fun part is now they can assemble the parts to make a whole product. Is this all the SIxam LLC makes, or are there more to be made they don't know about?

05. Quality Assurance Laborer

S,M,T,W,T,F,S 9am-7pm §65 per hour Bonus § 500

Requirements for promotion:

Handiness level 4

{0.SimFirstName} is now checking every part and product that to make sure it is made perfectly and up to company standard. {M0.He}{F0.She} is trusted not to let any badly made parts or products go past their line of sight.

Undecided Branch:

Not sure if you want to be a product designer or work in management? Get a pay raise and decide later! Note: you will need the mod MCCommandCenter to reset your career branch!

06. Advanced Laborer

S,M,T,W,T,F,S 9am-7pm §80 per hour Bonus § 500

Requirements for promotion:

None

{0.SimFirstName} is now the jack of all trades in making parts, assembling to make a product and lastly checking every thing for quality assurance. {M0.He's}{F0.She's} one of the top employees in their factory line.

Management Branch:

You've been recognized by Sixam LLC for your superior work on the factory lines. In the management branch, you will be leading your own teams of laborers and making sure operations go smoothly.

06. Team Leader

S,M,T,W,T,F,S 9am-7pm §95 per hour Bonus § 600

Requirements for promotion:

Handiness Level 6, Charisma 2

{0.SimFirstName} is now in charge of managing their group of bottom pushers and laborers.

07. Line Leader

S,M,T,W,T,F,S 9am-7pm §125 per hour Bonus § 700

Requirements for promotion:

Handiness Level 7, Charisma 3

{0.SimFirstName} is now in charge of managing team leaders to make sure all the production on their factory line goes smoothly..

08. Multi Line Leader

Requirements for promotion:

Handiness Level 8, Charisma 5

{0.SimFirstName} is now in charge of several factory lines and managing the Line Leaders ensuring production goes smoothly..

09. Production Manager

S,M,T,W,T,F,S 9am-7pm §175 per hour Bonus § 900

Requirements for promotion:

Handiness Level 8, Charisma 3

{0.SimFirstName} is now in charge of every factory line and ensuring everything is running smoothly. They are also responsible for assisting the Head Manager to make new production lines when Master Designers make new products.

10. Head Manager

S,M,T,W,T,F,S 9am-7pm §200 per hour Bonus § 1000

Requirements for promotion:

None

{0.SimFirstName} is now in charge of the entire factory and making sure production for everything is going smoothly. Additionally collaborating with Production Managers to make sure new factory lines are being made when new products are made by the Master Designers. Not just that, {M0.he's}{F0.she's} responsible finding new employees for SIXAM LLC and ensuring the company's future success. Which reminded {0.SimFirstName} of the time they were a simple button pusher that made it to the top like they are now.

Product Designer Branch:

You've been recognized by Sixam LLC for your superior work on the factory lines. In the product designer branch, you will be making advanced parts and designing products for the company's future success.

06. Support Technician

S,M,T,W,T,F,S 9am-7pm §100 per hour Bonus § 6000

Requirements for promotion:

Handiness Level 6, Rocket Science Level 2, Own a Rocket Ship

Hold up, {0.SimFirstName} thought {M0.he}{F0.she} was going to design parts. Nope, they will be supporting technicians in making more advanced parts needed for rocket ships to go to outer space. What do you mean you thought we didn't make spaceship parts? Well, did you look at the company name? Oh, and that huge bonus we gave you? Find use of it and buy yourself a rocketship to practice your skills. Or not, it's your call.

07. Technician

S,M,T,W,T,F,S 9am-7pm §140 per hour Bonus § 800

Requirements for promotion:

Rocket Science Level 4, Upgrade or Launch a Rocket

{0.SimFirstName} are now trusted on {M0.his}{F0.her} own to make more complex parts needed for rockets to outer space. Even lower-level factory workers aren't allowed to know how to make these parts. {0.SimFirstName} has been trusted with top-secret information.

08. Testing Technician

S,M,T,W,T,F,S 9am-7pm ��170 per hour Bonus § 1,000

Requirements for promotion:

Handiness Level 8

09. Product Designer

S,M,T,W,T,F,S 9am-7pm §200 per hour Bonus § 1,200

Requirements for promotion:

Handiness Level 10

{0.SimFirstName} is now finally designing products for everything Sixam LLC has to offer. Including designing new rocket ships that will take astronauts to outer space.

10. Product Designer

S,M,T,W,T,F,S 9am-7pm §250 per hour Bonus § 1,500

Requirements for promotion:

None

{0.SimFirstName} is now at the top of {M0.his}{F0.her} career and mastered the craft of designing. {0.SimFirstName} is responsible for designing new cars, phones, rocketships and every product Sixam LLC has to offer.

PT Factory Weekend

At Sixam LLC. we don’t just make parts or products only on the weekdays, we make them on the weekend as well. Need extra money and working weekdays at Sixam isn’t enough for you? Work overtime at the factory! Just looking for a weekend job? We got that covered too! Note: You may need a mod in order to work 2 different jobs at the same time.

S,M,T,W,T,F,S 9am-7p §5 extra per hour on regular pay and Bonus are higher

Only levels 1-5 and 6 of the undecided branch are included on the weekends. Each positions contains main promotion requirements as the regular branch.

PT Factory Teen Only

Are you a teenager and looking to earn money? Sixam LLC. can offer a position for you! Unfortunately, as a teen, you can only 20 hours before we start breaking labor laws. .

01. Button Pusher

Only one level of the job with no promotion requirements.

{0.SimFirstName} is here pushing buttons and missing out on the weekend fun. At least {M0.he's}{F0.she's} making money, unlike {M0.his}{F0.her} peers.

Fast Food

At McDagDag’s we started out as a small burger and fry restaurant in the middle of Sunset Valley, and wrote the first page of our history. From humble beginnings as a small restaurant, we're proud to have become one of the world's leading food service brands. The majority of general managers of a restaurant started out as simple employees, maybe you can work your way up to the top and own your own McDagDag’s!

01. Lobby Janitor

10 § per hour Bonus None 11 pm-7 pm S M T W T F S

Requirements for promotion: None

{0.SimFirstName} thought that working at McDagDag's meant {M0.he's}{F0.she's} going to be behind the counter serving up burgers and fries with a smile, NOPE! As the lowest level employee, you're going to be cleaning up after the lobby when customers leave behind ketchup stains on the tables. And let's not mention the bathrooms either.

02. Dish Washer

15 § per hour Bonus §100 11 pm-7 pm S MTWTF S

Requirements for promotion: Cooking 2

{0.SimFirstName} is finally allowed to be behind the counters! Unfortunately,{M0.he's}{F0.she's} washing washes while looking out for messes in the lobby. When will they start letting {M0.him}{F0.her} flip burgers?

03. Fry Cook

20 § per hour Bonus §200 11 pm-7 pm S MT WT F S

Requirements for promotion: Mixology 2

{0.SimFirstName} is finally behind the grill and fryer! {M0.He's}{F0.She's} now cooking patties, chicken nuggets, and fries in the kitchen. Just a little bit more and they will be able to assemble meals and drinks!

04. Food & Drink Assembler

25 § per hour Bonus §300 11 pm-7 pm S MT WT F S

Requirements for promotion: Charisma 2

{0.SimFirstName} learned more on the job and is allowed to assemble meals and make drinks. They are so close to being a Crew Member! Unfortunately, there are a lot of combo numbers to remember. One day {M0.he}{F0.she} will understand when a customer says they would like to have a combo #1.

05. Crew Member

35 § per hour Bonus §400 10 am-6 pmS MT W T F S

Requirements for promotion: Cooking 3 Mixology 3

{0.SimFirstName} has finally become a full-fledged crew member! All that hard work from scrubbing tables and assembling sandwiches has paid off! Now {M0.he}{F0.she} is behind the register asking every customer with a smile "May I take your order?" They also often get asked "Is your ice cream machine working today?" {M0.His}{F0.Her} cheeks hurt from smiling all day.

06. Crew Trainer

45 § per hour Bonus §600 10 am-6 pmS MT W T F S

Requirements for promotion: Charisma 3

{0.SimFirstName} now has all the rookies under {M0.his}{F0.her} wings. Now {M0.he}{F0.she} has to teach them how to flip patties, assemble sandwiches and make drinks. Let's not forget to stop the teenagers that think it's funny to put a whole basket of ice in the fryer because they saw it on Social Bunny.

07. Assistant Shift Leader

55 § per hour Bonus §800 9 am-5 pm S M T W TF S

Requirements for promotion: None

{0.SimFirstName} is now in charge of helping the shift leader make sure a shift at work runs smoothly. Unfortunately, they also are in charge of responding to customer complaints associated with the position. Especially when Nancy Laangrab complains that her burger doesn't contain enough pickles, only to complain about too many pickles. If your general manager doesn't want to order a new ice cream machine, that responsibility falls on you now to get it fixed. Aren't you glad you're moving up in the company?

08. Shift Leader

65 § per hour Bonus §1000 9 am-5 pm S M T W T F S

Requirements for promotion: None

{0.SimFirstName} is now in charge of running a shift by {M0.himself}{F0.herself}, with occasionally some help from an assistant shift leader. They will now be placing employees at their stations and making sure the restaurant runs efficiently through the lunch and dinner rush.

09. Assistant General Manager

85 § per hour Bonus §1500 9 am-5 pm S M T W T F S

Requirements for promotion: None

As an assistant general manager, {0.SimFirstName} is now helping the general manager run the store when they aren't here. They are in charge of ordering inventory, executing changes from corporate, and lastly making sure the restaurant runs as smoothly as possible when they are away. Of course, also making sure every employee is performing their job up to company standard.

10. General Manager

Requirements for promotion: None {0.SimFirstName} is now an operator of {M0.his}{F0.her} own McDagDag’s! As an owner, you are now responsible for making sure your store is up to par with corporate standards. Keep at it and you can watch yourself and your restaurant grow!
