Oftentimes there are needs where we want to merge into our environment and with people. We want to fit in. Be a hero is someone's journey. Not be left behind. Be someone that can't be criticized and be valued instead. But all these conditions, is it really who you are? What if we stop letting ourselves give a narrative to our life and see what brings up? What if we are not all good or not all bad. Or just in between. What if we aren't reaching for neither and experience who we are in the present moment instead?
I have to ask dear artists, do you ever miss an artwork after it's given away?
I feel quite proud of this shark painting! It's one of my recent artworks but it got sold soon after completion. Looking forward to painting something like this again. What would you suggest next?
Things got so busy that I kept forgetting to post my artworks but I'm adjusting here well! I'm working at a new artshop that has only been open for 2 months now. So there's still a lot of work to be done to fill the walls but I'm excited. There's satisfaction when I finish painting and arrange the paintings and art products on the wall and shelves. Slowly seeing this brings more color to the artshop.
I've received a new job offer and accepted it. I'm currently working in a new place in Kurumba Resort. So far it's going good and I'm adjusting here. I still have plans to be a traveling artist but in the meantime I want to prepare and save so I can do it better next time. I've learned a great deal from my experiences in the last 2 years. Let's see how this goes.
Let yourself get inspired by the @fabartshow.mv . Now open! Do check out the artworks by skilled artists at the National Art Gallery of Malé, Maldives. The exhibition will end on the 8th of this march. It was definitely worth seeing and a step forward for the women of this country. I really enjoyed it!

Reintroduction: My name is Rooba and I'm a visual artist. I've been painting since I was a child and didn't really stop. I found my inspiration through cartoons and anime and worked on ink or pencil works. I started painting more when I decided to become a full-time artist. I tried other jobs but it just didn't feel right. It's been quite a journey of learning new things and increasing my skills. I remember there was a time when I was shy to negotiate prices, didn't have a clue how to approach people for work, explain who I am in an artist bio or having a difficult time creating art consistently just for myself. How times have changed. I still have so much to learn but in the last 3 years I've grown as a person. Always trying my best to get out of my comfort zone and evolve as an artist not just for my career but my soul. Now I'm at the point where my art has found it's style and people can recognize it from afar. I wanna thank everyone who has been there to support me and simply showing appreciation for my art. You show the value of it to me even at times I don't see it myself and that's really beautiful. Have an awesome day.

Back in the Maldives after a couple of months! I've taken a break from social media for about 2 months now. It was a set back when both of my old phone and laptop broke. The replacement phone just didn't cut to do the work so waited till I was able to get a new and better phone. I'm really excited to start making art and reel for my page again. I'll be in Maldives for a few months so if you'd like a commissioned art from me please don't hesitate to contact me.
What are your suggestions for this page for this new year that you'd like to see?
Throwback to photos of my Thailand trip exploring the National Art Gallery in Bangkok. This way definitely one of the highlights of the trip. I really enjoyed viewing different styles of artworks and learning about the history of how art evolved in Thailand. I can see myself visiting here again.
Inspired by this videos under the microscope I worked on the background to create a new design. You can find inspiration in the most unexpected places.
