I found this freighter with the help of a Geek cartographer Evykelt back on Surbit XVI; it seems they are able to attune the navigation data I've been gathering during my travels to the signals of distress beacons. At first, I thought that this would mean a rescue mission but as I brought my starship down into the canyon that this titanic vessel had come to rest in, I knew that chance had long passed.
The vast carcass of this once-great freighter lay half-buried and weathered down by the toxic climate of this planet, but as I flew in closer, my scanner picked up faint traces of cargo buried beneath the wreckage. And so, I elected to land my starship and see what I could salvage from these great remains.
The black box didn't explain much, what data remained was so far removed of context that it meant nothing to me, certainly nothing about what could have brought this mighty ship down, and the cargo pods had been compromised and were leaking radiation, which is likely what prevented anyone getting to them before now. But my hazard protection afforded me enough protection to get close enough to pull the goods from within: technology modules and fusion cores, still functional, and which will fetch a high value back at the trading terminals.
With more navigation data gathered, there may be more salvage opportunities like this available, I may be able to secure a steady source of units this way...

When I first arrived on this planet, it appeared entirely unremarkable; the giant fungal growths that appear to make up the majority of this planet's flora seemed impressive, but not necessarily remarkable against the other, far more alien landscapes I've witnessed so far.
That is, until night fell, revealing that all of these mushrooms are bioluminescent. The glows pulse across the land in waves, coordinated as if by some shared mind.
I can only marvel at its beauty...

NMS Log:
Returned to my companions system after a bit of traveling and seeking different outposts and their wares.
He has found himself a system with world's I find very comfortable to spend time on.
The Gek hold control over its station and archives planetside, I've always found myself a bit fascinated by their appreciation of trade and commerce.
I admit I've always been satisfied looking at those number feeds of theirs.
Perhaps in a previous iteration, I was Gek myself.
