"I forgor" is becoming a bigger impact on my vocabulary than even "It fucken wimdy"
the reason for this is it is only fucken wimdy every now and then, while I forgor happens 85 times a day.

what’s up, unfortunately i need more help with my electric bill. the a/c units in this apartment complex are old as fuck and mine isn’t the only one that’s failing that they refuse to fix. it continually goes out and tops out at it being over 81F in my apartment and the only ‘solution’ they’ve come up with is to turn it off for hours at a time because it’s apparently icing over.
it’s icing over in 95f+ degree weather and somehow that’s my fault for trying to use the damn thing, lmao. literally as i’m typing this it’s off right now because it’s full of backed up condensation and it’s 79F in here and i’m like. losing my mind a little.
because of them being old and fucked up it’s causing my bills to be like this. the 97.79 is what was left from july, which i was going to pay out of my check i get on 07/29, but this new 185$ is just making it so i’m no farther ahead.
I can put $100 on this when i get paid, since that’s what i’d planned anyway, but if i could get some help to go for those new charges i’d appreciate it. i’m sorry to ask again but i genuinely wasn’t expecting the new bill was going to fucking be like this, lol.

Hey guys!
As you know, my country is at war. Every day, people are dying, even now as I write this.
Tumblr media
And there is something you can do to help.
After the beginning of the full-scale war, many international corporations have left russia. They refused to do any business there, because the taxes immediately turn into bombs above my head.
But some of the corporations still continue doing business with the aggressor. They make money, and with that money they kill us.
Tumblr media
So we need your help to boycott these companies, to make them leave russian market. Stop buying their products, don’t fund the war. Target them on social media, send them e-mails. Convince your boss to stop buying their products.
As of April, the companies that still work in russia include Nestle, Xiaomi, METRO, L’Oreal, Danone, Auchan, Barilla, Leroy Merlin, Mars, Shell and many others
This is a website called Boycott Russia, where you can find the full list of these corporations http://boycottrussia.info/

Here are some tips I've picked up from the internet in the past week on how to be safer when protesting (what to wear, what to do in the event of being tear gassed or maced, what to do/say if you are arrested).
IF YOU ARE MACED/PEPPER SPRAYED/TEAR GASSED
Remember when you are protesting not to wear any clothes you like, because if they are tear gassed there's not much you can do for them. Don't wear makeup or contacts as they can help trap irritants in your eyes and skin. When trying to relieve the effects of tear gas or pepper spray, milk helps soothe the skin, but in the eyes it can irritate the chemicals further and possibly cause an infection. Water is for the eyes, plain water, poured (or even better squirted from a squirt bottle) in a line from the inside corner of your eye out toward the ear. Wash your eyes out multiple times. When you wash off after being tear gassed or pepper sprayed, take a cold shower. A hot shower will reactivate the chemicals AND open your pores, and taking a bath would just mean bathing in chemicals as you try to get them off you.
I'll find a link to Riot Medicine if I can*. It's a medical book detailing how to help with issues that occur during riots and protests.
*Edit: here's that link
Here's an overall guide on defending against tear gas.
Tumblr media
WHAT TO WEAR
A good guide for how to dress and prepare overall is to look at the Hong Kong protesters. Here is a guide.
Tumblr media
Don't wear any brands or any particular/identifying styles at all. Cover any idenitfying marks like tattoos, significant birthmarks, etc. If possible, wear some type of goggle (ski goggles, safety goggles, even common swimming goggles**) to protect the eyes preemptively. Wear a mask to both hide your identity for possible pictures taken and because COVID-19 hasn't just disappeared. If wearing a bandana over your mouth and nose, soak in water beforehand as it can help with breathing and protecting from chemicals. You may hear that soaking one in vinegar, lemon, or orange juice will protect you better, but Riot Medicine discourages it as prolonged inhalation of vinegar or citrus has unhealthy side effects. Here is a link to a video about making a cheap gas mask at home: https://youtu.be/_rPWM8mYG5Y
Wear good shoes that will protect your toes from being trampled on in a crowd that will also allow for running. Cloth gloves are a good idea as protection from mace and other chemicals.
**Edit: DO NOT WEAR common swimming googles such as the ones below.
Tumblr media
Warning:
Tumblr media
Here is a guide on advice for/what to bring if your goal is to provide medical help.
Tumblr media
WHAT TO BRING
Bring a backpack with extra water, snacks, masks, FIRST AID KIT etc. You are not only there as yourself, you are there as a collective people fed up. Remember to boost up and aid your fellow protesters. If you are in a safe spot and you see someone who needs help (thirsty, maced, pepper sprayed, gassed, otherwise hurt, on the ground, etc.) please help them.
Here is a list of items separated into different stages/support positions.
Tumblr media
IF YOU ARE ARRESTED
This will be scary. There is no avoiding that. Don't make it your mission to be arrested, as these charges don't go away easily. With that in mind, it's still important to have a plan. Here's what you can do to protect yourself and your rights as a human being.
1) Write a lawyer's number on your arm in sharpie.
There are many, many lawyers on social media that have offered to represent protesters that are arrested for free. Find the closest one to you and write their number on your arm, then use your one phone call to get in contact with them.
2) Ask "Am I free to leave?"
The answer is probably going to be no. Asking is still important because once they say no, it states plainly that you are being detained/placed in police custody, which activates your right to be read the Miranda Rights. This is mostly so you have legal standing.
3) Say "I am invoking my right to an attorney."
This must be said in those exact words as clearly and plainly as possible. "I want a lawyer" can be taken as a statement and not a request. Such is the case of lawyer dog. A man said to the police when he was in custody "I want a lawyer dawg, cause this is not it." The police refused to give him a lawyer, stating that they could not find a "lawyer dog."
Speak it plainly and clearly, "I am invoking my right to an attorney"
4) Say "I am invoking my right to remain silent."
You must say they you are specifically invoking your right. If you do not invoke your right plainly and clearly, police are within their legal rights to cite your silence as a sign of guilt in court. If you directly state that you are invoking your right, they can't hold it against you legally.
5) DO NOT TALK AFTER THAT.
This is THE most important step. Police may try to make small talk with you. Custodians, other people in custody, anyone will try to make small talk with you. You cannot talk to them. This will be the hardest thing of all, because you are scared, and you are alone, and the one thing you will want in the whole world is human connection. But you CANNOT talk to them. By talking in any capacity after you invoke your right to remain silent, you waive that right and must re-invoke or else your silence can once again be used against you.
ANOTHER WAY TO HELP
Getting out on the streets isn't the only way to help the protesters. Here's a guide on how to support through communications.
Tumblr media
IN CONCLUSION
I hope this helps someone. If there's any misinformation in here please let me know. Stay safe and keep fighting.

Hello fellow americans if you’ve seen the news and are particularly upset.
This is your call to action
Roe v. Wade has been overturned
Find a local protest and join.
Scared? Not sure if you have the time?
I would suggest make the time or organize a day you can go in the future. This is not going away
The more people who show up and act in the protest the more our message gets across we are not complacent.
Ive never been to a protest scar what should i do?
Heres some quick and fast tips to get you by:
Be wary of police you are opposing them even if you are peaceful. Police do not need a reason to attack you. Keep your wits about you and do not talk to police. They will use your information to arrest you later. Obscure your face with a hat, asymmetrical make up, or hair. This makes it difficult for police to identify you later after protests for. You guessed it. Arresting you.
Bring water and first aid materials. Sun screen and generally things you need for a day hike. Weather conditions aren’t fun in the south so be aware of hydration and bring a snack to keep your electrolytes up.
Look for warning signs and always be aware of possible riots. Gauge the crowd your in. Are people throwing things at cops? Are cops shoving and pushing people away. Are people disorganized and seem less controlled? Take a step back and ask yourself what kind of protest your personally ok with being in. Are you ok with being arrested? Are you ok with violence? Set your boundaries and know when something is to much.
Have several escape routes. If you start to notice your ways of leaving the designated protest areas are being cut off by police. Thats your signal your about to be pushed by police and its time to either leave or fight. Organize and alert fellow trusted protestors. Remember. Anyone can go to a protest. It is not uncommon for cops to enter protests incognito and gather information. Keep to trusted individuals. Look for vests under shirts and police boots.
If you feel uncomfortable in riots. Plan to leave at curfew or before curfew. After curfew makes protests illegal. If you plan to stay be prepared.
If you plan to stay for riots. Welcome! Your not alone. Wear long sleeves and have a change of clothes for gas. Get medica supplies for eye irritation and bruising. Bring a small shield or helmet. Any clothing helps pellet guns.
If you want to push police back get creative. Plan with fellow protestors. Use shields and umbrellas if needed. Have designated first aid people. Assign people to protect medical staff helping injured protestors.
You ever wanted to go feral? Batshit? Nows your chance.
I’ll see you in the smoke

Big Warning
If you see a police car or a cop with a speaker looking thing on it, FUCKING RUN. It's known as an LRAD (Long Range Acoustic Device), a device that, when activated, can permanently damage your hearing and cause serious harm. If you're too close, you'll be left in a lot of pain and squirming on the ground permanently deaf. Ear plugs do not work. Unless you have one of those shooting range headphones, you do not stand a chance against them. Again, if you see them pull up, RUN. This is what they look like.

Stay safe.

Extensive protest gear/safety advice from a twitter thread. Additional images from thread will be in a reblog. Images described in read-more and in alt text.
link to full thread (link one)
link to free protest medical book "Riot Medicine" (link two) by Håkan Geijer (link three)
image id: Twitter thread from Gwen Snyder is uncivil @/ gwensnyderPHL
image one: Seeing people share that swim goggles are great against tear gas, which is something I used to believe and advise. Then I learned that blunt force to swim goggles can pop your eyes [out] of their sockets, so please don't wear swim goggles in situations where cops may assault you
image two: First tweet in image states "Plastic lab goggles are the way to go, ideally with ballistics protection so they don't shatter if you take a rubber bullet to the face. Contacts trap tear gas, and according to my ophthalmologist, polycarbonate glasses are your safest bet during protests." Second tweet in image states "A lot of plastic lab goggles are vented to prevent condensation, but you can use clear packing tape to seal them up. Conveniently, you can also leave the tape dangling a bit and then seal it back up when things get heated so condensation is less of a bother."
image three: first tweet in image states "Don't wear hanging jewelry or loose clothes, or anything fash/cops can hang grab and on to. It's best practice to cover your face (N95 it up to protect yourself/others), avoid wearing 'unique' or custom attire, and conceal tattoos. Wear your shoes that you can run in." second tweet in image states "You don't need a special solution to clean tear gas out of people's eyes. Water or saline in a cheap peri bottle is a godsend. Be careful not to touch the peri bottle to anyone's eyes directly if you're treating multiples, you don't want to be spreading infection inadvertently."
image four: first tweet in image states "Wet wipes are your friend. Clean any tear gas-exposed skin thoroughly and ASAP. I couldn't chop jalapenõs for at least a month after the 2020 gassings, my skin would burn just being around the oil in the air." second tweet in image states "Remove any tear gas-contaminated clothing ASAP. Keep it in a sealed plastic bag (ideally outside) until you can wash it (ideally multiple times). This is especially true if you have asthma or if you have pets - your clothes can give off chemicals that pets are very sensitive to."
image five: first tweet in image states "If you're thinking about a gas mask, do your research. The good ones are expensive, and there are a bunch of airsoft 'gas masks' that are just costume wear. Respirators and goggles together make a more affordable alternative." second tweet in image states "It's possible to reduce tear gas spread by covering a canister with a traffic cone, but the canisters are very hot and can explode, so be careful. DO NOT pick them up to toss them from the crowd unless you are wearing heat-protective gloves. They can burn you."
image six: first tweet in image states "Police will often fire smoke canisters along with tear gas to reduce visibility and increase confusion. There's not much you can do about that, but be aware." second tweet in image states "Tear gas is usually deployed not by a spraying mechanism, but by firing canisters into a crowd. These are heavy, metal projectiles. you do not want to take one to the head, and you should keep your eyes open and be ready to assist in case others do." third tweet states "Tear gas is an abortifacient. Not much you can do about that, but if you're pregnant or TTC [trying to carry] you should be very aware of that reality so you can make informed decisions on the ground."
image seven: first tweet in image states "'Rubber' bullets (also called baton rounds) are regular bullets covered in plastic. They are SUPPOSED to be fired at the ground so they hit people on a lower-impact rebound. In practice, cops will fire them directly at you. They are no joke." second tweet in image states "'Rubber' bullets can blind or maim you, especially when shot directly. Don't minimize the risk. If you take a body hit, ice packs help. When my partner got shot, we iced one site and not the other and the difference was MASSIVE. Consider carrying instant ice packs"
image eight: first tweet in image states "Know your local legal collective scene. If there's an arrest hotline, get that number on your arm in Sharpie. There's no guarantee you'll get a call, but if you do, use it to call them. Have quarters on your person for jail pay phones." second tweet in image states "Assume someone in your group chat is going to forget to lock their phone, and that cops will see what you've said in there. Be super-mindful about potentially incriminating speech." third tweet says "If you're white, mass arrests are really not the time to give police an earful. They'll often try and get their revenge by taking out their anger on the most vulnerable people in custody, especially nonwhite folks."
image nine: first tweet in image states "In my area, we generally recommend having an ID on you if you think you might get arrested (if you're engaging in jail-packing tactics, disregard). It's a personal choice, but it speeds up processing, which means you're less likely to get sent to county for the weekend." second tweet in image states "Don't thank cops at protests. Don't give them hugs and take cute photos with them. They aren't our friends, they use photos of that stuff for feel-good propaganda to counter accountability measures, and it makes the people they target feel like you don't have their back"
image ten: first tweet in image states "Prioritize your ability to run when it comes to footwear, but if you have steel toe shoes/boots that fit that need, that's a plus. Toes are vulnerable to police car trampling, and 'accidental' sideswiping by drivers who hate you and your cause." second tweet in image states "Photos are a complicated subject. Livestreaming is almost always a bad idea, since cops can use those streams to surveil, and since you may accidentally broadcast information that can be sued to identify or prosecute other protesters." third tweet says "Be very careful with night videography / photography at protests. I'm not going to say never do it, but be VERY mindful that folks tend to take more militant action at night and you don't want to accidentally incriminate anyone."
