It's SO funny and cathartic to see shuro get the same treatment that girl characters usually get in fandom for getting in the way of gay boy ships, everyone collectively like BOOOO WE HATE THAT GUY 🫵🫵🫵 HES TRYING TO PUSSY BLOCK MARCILLE GET THAT GUY OUTTA HERE *THROWING TOMATOES 🍅🍅🍅🍅🍅*
yall do realize just because something has been a target of misogynistic criticism, that doesn't make stanning it completely uncritically in response some kind of revolutionary feminist praxis. right.
all the women saying "im no better than a man" seeing monster fallin's huge bouncing naturals, refusing to be horny is NOT feminist now go JERK OFF to her tits NOW
helpppp I just saw a terf blog in the notes of a post and when I went to block one of their recent posts was an article about how people are forcibly gender transitioning their dogs
we're doing a decent job of theorizing about transandrophobia, but are we ready to understand that transhet people are oppressed for being straight? think of it like this: transhets are technically straight, but are not socially seen as straight, so deal with homophobia anyway. oppression is not about who you are but about who society THINKS you are.
gays think that since transhets are straight, they are invaders. this means dealing with homophobia, while also being treated like hetero invaders, much like what straight aspecs deal with.
inversely, trans gays are treated as straight people pretending to be gay, both by cishets and the queer community. however, a trans gay person is still gay enough to suffer homophobia, while being told its "not homophobia, just being critical/careful".
this results in transhets and trans gays being equally oppressed for essentially the same thing, just in different ways.
this is probably a lot more complicated for trans bi/pansexuals, but im not too sure of how that works. feel free to add on

we still get immediately shoved out of our immersion in tv shows or films when The Girl find a dead body and immediately shrieks - we just don't find it realistic because we're pretty confident most people would gasp rather than shriek (i.e. sharp inhale rather than sharp exhale) and it also feels unnecessarily (and predictably) misogynistic too, as men encountering corpses almost never do the same on screen
also of course please do tell us if you've actually encountered a corpse unexpectedly, because tumblr is absolutely a place where some people have done this thing and we love a good anecdote
suddenly imagining "burst into song" as a potential response
