Quote
Writing is a form of therapy; sometimes I wonder how all those who do not write, compose, or paint can manage to escape the madness, melancholia, the panic and fear which is inherent in a human situation.
Graham Greene, Ways Of Escape (via books-n-quotes)

The life of a Spiritual Warrior
A spiritual warrior leads a simple life: Eats when hungry, Drinks when thirsty, Sleeps when tired, Enjoys his/her pleasures, And labours as required. A warrior doesn’t regret the past, Or worry about the future. A warrior lives in the present, And enjoys the moment. A warrior trusts in his/her fate, Knows his/her true Self, And is virtuous to all he/she meets.

Quote
One whose mind does not shake when touched by worldly conditions, sorrowless, dust-free, secure: this is the highest blessing.

Fear = Ignorance + Hate. This individual that interrupted @jagmeetsingh displayed fear by having ignorance towards what he represented, and hate for what she thought he was. Jagmeet displayed the opposite, he showed love and courage. He didn’t get defensive, he didn’t get aggressive, instead he showed compassion. In a world where fear is a tool to bend the spirit of people, it’s such a breath of fresh air to see that real courage doesn’t manifest itself with hate, but instead with a smile, a calm voice and sincerity. I’m proud that this is how we address hate in this country, and I’m excited that someone as loving, courageous and inclusive as Jagmeet Singh is devoting his life to serving and preserving those great Canadian qualities. Since 9/11 many of my turbaned brothers and sisters have been recipients of hate from those who believe a narrative that brown people are the enemy. It doesn’t matter if they know the difference between a Sikh & a Muslim, we’re not here to throw another group of beautiful people under the bus to protect ourselves. What matters is that we respond to that fear with love and courage. This is your opportunity to support #LoveAndCourage.. share the video, contribute to Jagmeet’s movement, and take inspiration from his actions into your daily lives. Let’s take back our planet from those who profit off keeping us divided and afraid. Thank you for being such an amazing leader brother.

If the Lord were to set me upon a throne, I would still be His slave. If I were a grass-cutter, I would still chant the Lord’s Name.
- Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji (Ang 165)
