Star Treks that actually understand Star Trek and it’s goals;
-TOS
-TNG
-Voyager
-Prodigy
-Lower Decks
-Strange New Worlds
Massive asterisk on SNW because I don’t think the execution is very good but they do understand that Star Trek is about lofty principles in the face of terrible circumstances even if I disagree with some of their choices. Picard also mostly got it right when Seven was on screen but I’m not giving them a win for writing one character decently.
I’m on the episode Dead Stop of Enterprise and it really bothers me that the Enterprise made no attempt to disable the biological computer made up of kidnapped aliens. These characters aren’t about anything, they don’t have morals, they don’t have principles, they don’t stand for anything. Kirk, Picard, and Janeway all would have made an effort to disconnect the people from the computer so they could at least free them from that horror and keep future ships from falling victim to it. It would have been hard spiritually but it was the humane thing to do and it makes me a little sick that they so easily washed their hands of the entire thing.

When I worked at Ulta there was a large amount of folks who would draw ridiculous eyebrows on their babies, giggling the entire time. One of the funniest parts of that job.
Another fun thing I do with customers - specifically parents of very small children who don’t know they’re alive yet - is directly imply I think the coffee is for the baby, not the parent. and lemme tell you, like 70% of parents eat that shit up. They immediately go along with the bit and start discussing it with their newborn child, while the baby just stares at us like 😮

I liked Picard, or parts of Picard, perhaps more than others but it would be the best thing ever if Prodigy split the timeline and decanonized Picard. Like, everything it set up and established can still happen, it just won’t. Jack Crusher dies to a freak bee attack when he’s 15 so the Borg never attack. The Romulan sun still goes nova because the evacuation of the Star system has already been mentioned in Prodigy but the attack on Utopia Planitia never happens, no synth ban, we can yada yada yada over Picard dying at the end of season 1 if Patrick Stewart wants and we can get even more unneeded final send offs of a show that satisfactorily ended it’s run in 1994 but it’s worth it if Trek doesn’t have to deal with the specter of the upcoming synth ban and retreating of Starfleet which is going to put a huge damper on the whole hope and exploration vibes the actually good Star Treks have going on

Holy shit, they got Voyager 1 working again!
15 billion miles away and NASA was able to tweak code packages on one of the onboard computers and it worked and Voyager 1 is sending signals back to earth for the first time since November.
Incredible!

My whole left cheek looks like something you'd find on a ghoul from Fallout.
It was from an infected bug bite.
NGL it's my favorite facial feature.
i think its funny how facial scars are seen as like a major character plot point where they reveal that someone tried to kill their dad or something when i know a ton of ppl (including myself) who have facial scars bc they rlly arent uncommon and all of them are like. from tripping and falling as a toddler

I want to cheer, theorize, and talk about Prodigy more, but I'm paranoid some rando is going to start spewing spoilers in the notes or comments.
