The Driver Era

 Okay, so I just kind of need to vent/rant to get somethings off my chest since there’s a lot of different feelings going around here.   When I first found out that R5 had deleted everything from their Twitter and Instagram and changed their usernames to TheDriverEra I had a mini panic attack as most people did. Now first off, I want to say I fully support everything every member is choosing to do BUT I think they handled the situation poorly.   Deleting all of R5′s photos from Instagram and all their tweets from Twitter is deleting memories. It may seem like a little detail to most but it’s always nice going back to look at memories and it’s not the same as just googling because you won’t always be able to find a specific picture you’re looking for. Some people got tweets from the band account that are now deleted and it’s possible it’s the only time they’ll get noticed by them. It seems they wanted to start from scratch and if that was truly the case they could of just made whole new accounts for The Driver Era while keeping R5′s accounts up and just not using them. I’ve seen this happen with Allstar Weekend when they wanted to start fresh with a new image and sound and became The Tragic Thrills. The fact of the matter is they wanted to erase R5 but keep the followers.   Some people have hopes this is just a break and that R5 will come back in a couple years. As for me, I think they’re done. If they ever planned to come back they would have done what I said above and just made separate accounts for The Driver Era but instead erased R5 from social media. A reunion? Maybe but I don’t think they’ll come back for good. After all, they’re family and while they love each other dearly you can only take so much of someone. You see family everyday and then adding that to having to work with them can be a lot. It happened with Jonas Brothers, they had created differences and it cause unwanted arguments so they went their own separate ways.   With all of that being said, I’m super excited to hear The Driver Era’s music and I’m here to support Ross, Rocky, Riker, Rydel and Ellington in whatever they choose to pursue.
