Drawing in clip studio after using procreate for so long feels like switching from a bicycle to a car, so much SPEED.
I’m really trying to develop “low effort” fun sketchy workflow, but oh dear i always end up fidgeting with brushes or post processing. Something feels lacking, i don’t know what.

Dragon time! It’s Rosco!
This was definitely a much harder one to draw initially. I didn’t have the LOADS of great references I had for the other dragons. But he still turned out great!
His horns are insane, btw. His MIGHT have the record for longest/widest horns of the elder dragons.

It’s Gildas this time. He’s such a doll, and I felt like drawing him happy and laughing. Out of all the older dragons, Spyro seems so keen to listen to him. I bet they have a good relationship.

I think they dabble in certain aspects of art as a medium, like Nevin clearly does portraits and scenery (and most likely used oils), while Gildas gives off "Bob Ross"/slight hobbyist vibes (acrylics), and Delbin gives off slight surrealist vibes with the usage of the impasto technique.
That's my 2 cents though! A lot of the dragons seem to have similar themes, but it's always fun to imagine what distinctively makes them unique.
I think each elder dragon in Spyro have their own specialty or occupation. Even though Delbin, Gildas, and Nevin are all artists, they each have their own art style and use different mediums.

2024 Update
i know it's been literally years since i posted anything. to be honest i got kind of burned out :(
i do have several imgur albums that i have never gotten around to making posts for.
