Oh no! Polls have been out for so long and I didn’t know!! (I apologize in advance if you think polls are annoying, because I want to do some polls now)
So I’m going to Madrid to visit my Aunt for a week! Which will be really fun, but it also means I won’t have much time to be on Tumblr or write :( so I’m sorry for the delay, to anyone who’s reading Fangs & Firsts
I might be able to churn out a chapter at the airport (because I have a secret language font I can use so no one can see I’m writing sappy romance) but I’m not sure I’ll have the energy, but we’ll see
Enid specifically said “Gorgons spend way too much time getting stoned.” in the first episode, but it isn’t brought up any other time. So I think it’s cannon that Gorgons are labeled as people who do drugs, but we don’t actually know if any of them actually get high, so it could be a rumor that started because of the group name of “Stoners.”
Ajax said that “Gorgons are taught not to engage” which could mean that Gorgons don’t spend a lot of time with other outcasts or the general public, so they end up with a significantly different perspective on the world. That might mean they make unique, strange, or seemingly obvious connections, that may make them appear to be high when they aren’t.
Also, Weed is legal in Vermont for people over 21, but high schoolers in the US are known for drinking anyway, even though that’s only legal at 21 too. So it’s very possible they actually do get high for fun or to deal with the stress of being “taught not to engage” which sounds lonely. Or, maybe it’s really hard to sleep with snake hair, so they use THC gummies for sleep or something, and it’s just a rumor that got out of hand.
Quick question, are the "stoners" in Wednesday really supposed to be stoners, or are they just called that because they're gorgons? For me, even tho it's gory and all, Wendesday doesn't seem like the show to deal with that, or if it does, it'd be like a criminal thing, not an inside thing, y'know, there are shows where the heroes actively smoke, and then there are shows where it's considered criminal behaviour
Tagging all my usualy tags because I dunno what to tag otherwise
So I made this post about how I should probably write more Tylorpe smut, and immediately a story popped into my head fully formed. I wrote it over a week ago now, but it’s taken me forever to get the guts to publish it because it’s honestly at the furthest edge of my steaminess range, and I get embarrassed just editing it.
Warnings: Dom Tyler, sub Xavier, Xavier likes being called names (like slut and stuff), and Tyler apparently has an emerging daddy kink/power dynamics kink.
When I write, I write in google docs with 1.5 spacing and the extra space added after a paragraph.
So when I get to the end of writing and 8 page long chapter, I feel like I’ve just written so much, but when I check the word count, it’s yet again it’s only like 2.5k words, and it’s like a stab to the heart every damn time
In ao3 that’s like only two scrolls (on a track pad) long!
I love that the Wednesday universe has magical people, but there isn’t a lot of pure magic happening. It’s not like harry potter where you can just magically heal injuries, or cast powerful spells. It makes the magic that is in the show seem more realistic and meaningful
