Delicate Point of View

Acrylics on cotton paper board (6”x6”)

Bought a couple of new brush sets for Procreate. This was always how I was going to try them out.

Once again, when I had lots of important Real Job stuff to do, I spent too much time designing the Our Flag Means Death merch I had in my head and needed but which didn’t exist anywhere.

I imagined an inky drawing of Ed, with a hint of kraken tentacles (IYKYK), and this is what I came up with:

My sample shirt is really soft and comfortable and I’ve enjoyed people spotting the reference and talking about the show with me!

What started as “what a great reference photo for painting hands!” quickly snowballed into something much more elaborate.

At the beginning of 2015, @bolshevik8 was struggling with a paralysing fear of travel that had led to three trips to airports without being able to go through with the flights (to Orlando, Edinburgh and Spain). At the end of 2015, I am so proud to show you that we travelled to all these places this year; most by plane. She's worked so hard, and we've had such great adventures. I can't wait to find out where we're going next! (These bracelets have been really helpful in tracking and reinforcing our success - they're made by @elcaminobracelets and I really recommend them)
