the “videos” ppl were showing were either 1) from completely different countries 2) happened but happened years ago and is completely unrelated to whats happening now, EVEN THEN the claims r still unverified and nobody rlly knows
the claims of haitian cannibals was spread around by alt right accs on twitter especially by elon musk and now everyone is spreading it around like its the truth when its not, please do research before spreading shit like that around bc now ppl r using it to be extremely xenophobic to haitians and haitian immigrants
there is NO verified claims of cannibalistic gangs in haiti right now as we speak

a good chunk of mischaracterization that branches out to be even more terrible characterization comes from the fact that so many ppl have a surface level of understanding what it means to care for someone and just not show it as publicly towards one character vs another, that u can care for one person a lot but that dosnt mean u dont care for others as well, and the fact that u can care for someone in a different way than u care for others
and it’s absolutely insane considering thats one of the lessons pony learns in the book
