Here’s some anon! Hope you don’t mind that they’re all Duncney-centric! They all also revolve around them growing up in the same town.

* Duncan’s had a crush on Courtney since preschool.

* Duncan breaks a decent amount of bones growing up. Thinks his bright green cast makes him look tough and Courtney rolls her eyes every time but still signs it ‘princess’

* They don’t have a lot of classes together in high school because Courtney takes every AP and honors course she can, but their last names are close alphabetically so they have homeroom together every year.

* Courtney is an only child and is constantly trying gain approval and affection from her parents who are always working or away.

* I headcanon that it’s also part of why Courtney does so many after school activities because she knows at the end of the day she’s most likely going home to an empty house.

* I don’t know why but I don’t think Courtney gets a lot of love at home ( not like in an abusive way) I think her parents are just really… absent. Winning awards and accolades at least gets her attention in a positive way.

* On the other hand… I imagine Duncan having at least two brothers.

* Definitely has a lot of love for his momma. But knows he’ll never get approval from his dad.

* Hates having to live up to the expectation that he will want to be a cop like his family.

* Probably the middle child lol

* Parents also have demanding jobs as cops, so Duncan found out quickly that getting in trouble is the easiest way to get a cops attention.

Headcanon time: Duncan and his brothers, younger brother Cameron and older brother Ian. All three boys were terrors together when they were younger, but Ian straightened out as he grew up and is following their parents’ footsteps into the police force. Cam, although he has a gentler nature than either of his older brothers, still idolizes his cool brother Duncan and takes steps to emulate him both in appearance and behavior. Ian knows Duncan is a lost cause (and delicately clears his throat whenever Duncan points out that it was Ian who taught him how to strip a car) but he still worries for his littlest brother’s future. Things you can’t see: Ian’s tattoo that he deeply regrets. Cameron’s shaved head. Duncan’s sense of shame.
