HE HAD MISSED her also , having been away for so long , he didn’t realise until he stood before her how much that it was true . ❝ forgive me. ❞ he murmurs so softly , but the smile could not be wiped from his features . ❝ i got caught in traffic . ❞ & picking up the flowers . ❝ but also forgive me for not doing this sooner . ❞ he admits sheepishly , using a quick moment of time to duck downward , moving his mouth to her cheek . ❝ you look beautiful , darling . ❞ he whispers , as if no one else could hear them , quietly in her ear before he pulls back . ❝ why didn’t you wait inside ? ❞
she could smell him before she saw him , he smelled of peppermint and axe ; a unique combination that only meant him . the people brushed past her and stared as if she was in some movie and they were just extras , the whole thing feeling a scene from one of her silly shows . but , there he was , head taller than the crowd and his smile instantly warmed her heart . his number had appeared on her phone as she picked up without a second of hesitation , just even the sound of his voice being an instant calming method for her . the dinner had been her suggestion , a time for the two of them to reconnect and just be together . something they hadn't done in a while . he was soon in front of her , lips pressing to her forehead , heart racing , feeling as if it was to burst from her chest . the flowers , white roses , wrapped beautifully in a bouquet were only a small gift ; as he was the real one . ❝ my love ... i missed you . ❞ she said in her soft-toned voice , eyes beaming with happiness as brown orbs looked up at the male through thick eyelashes .

RITUALS CREATED GOOD habits & a habit that pia had created over the years was very much heading to the same coffee shop each & every morning for the same thing : a salmon , cream cheese & avocado bagel with her iced long black , three pumps of caramel , the barista knew her well , she was a creature of habit , & this morning was no different , except for the argument happening right in front of her . ❝ i’ve been here since it started , so she cheated on him with his dad . ❞ pia alluded , grinning slightly , always thriving in the knowledge of drama . ❝ but he was sleeping with her twin sister , even while knowing it was the wrong twin . ❞

dressed head to toe in her signature pink , ellie was strolling along the sidewalk with her briefcase in hand , heading to her law office at the end of the street . it was going to be another day full of phone calls and client meetings with all of the cases she had going on . she stopped in the local coffee shop for her everyday order : a chai tea latte with soy milk , extra cream . as she turned , the blonde could hear an argument going on with someone over the phone , the volume up so high that she could hear everything the other person was saying . she looked at the person waiting next to her for their coffee , shaking her head softly with a tsk tsk coming from her lips . ❝ some people do not understand social cues , do they ? sheesh . ❞

TYLER HAD NEVER been one to judge , but he had counted the shots she’d thrown back probably in the last ten minutes or so & rather then a look of disgust on features , he’s actually impressed. ❝ truthfully ? i don’t think i can be anything other than amazed that you’ve managed that amount & not ended up on your ass . ❞ he admits , the beer in his hand wet with condensation as he lifts it to his own mouth. ❝ bravo. ❞

The blonde sighed, looking at her phone in frustration. It had to be upwards, maybe to the millionth time the blue light hooked on her features and annoyance glimmered in her irises. Why did I let her rope me into this? Dating wasn't Nirvana's thing. The blonde would rather be buried in 10 ft. of paperwork before going on a blind date.
Hence the set up; The good 'ole bait and switch. Her friend getting some mysterious call of an emergency that now left the blonde to her so-called friend's devices. Now some man was on his way. At least, that's what the message said in white and blue. But, if she genuinely hated the idea - why hasn't she left yet?
As the bartender seemed to be coming in her direction, she waved him down. That was when she noticed the other has been beside her for what seemed to be all night in Hell. The one who probably knows exactly how many shots she's had already. "Promise not to judge me." It was velvet due to her English accent, her smile marking her cleverness as the elegance of her hand wave was added with, "Double." The shot lasting about .2 seconds on the bar before being dropped down the hatch in a singular fluid motion.

HEAVEN SENT & HELL bound , this woman held such a grip on him that not even hades himself could tear the man away from her , she was wrapped like some ethereal goddess , sat upon a pedestal he’d made for her , high above all else . the guilt would not eat away at the irrevocable desire she brought forth in his old bones , he refused to let it . her words are wrapped , & they alight something within , a sickness in his bones that is satisfied with every desperate whisper they share , their time apart , no matter how long or short , leaving him & her ( evidently so ) wanting more of each other . & he was a selfish man . ❝ how can one miss something that is never far from their mind . ❞ oh he missed her shockingly some days , there was such a comfort in her embrace & perhaps that alone is enough to keep him returning , more so then just his love for her , but to hurt his blood like this , it was worth it . though they both knew should this escape , families , his blood & her marriage would be in ruins .
LIPS MEET , IF only briefly , entangled together in a moment that is ever sweet , begging for more & his hands itching to grip at flesh , to meld them into one , to never escape her again & yet , he allows the separation , sinking into the simplicity of her aura , their quiet little life in these four walls , secrecy aside , it was as if their lives outside this room didn’t exist & they were simply two adults in love , & oh , how he wished he had been the one to meet her first , not his brother , how he would of dreamed to whisk a younger version of herself off her feet & into his arms , he had done so anyway but held no claim publicly to her heart . she was not his to love this way . ❝ long & dreadful , without you . ❞ he speaks as if he were some poet , twining his words into some romantic sonnet , though they are nothing but truthful . he’s not a many of many words , but with her he could write a novel , he doesn’t dare mention lunch with his brother , why would he ? that would only dampen their moods , & he wasn’t here for that . ❝ i’ve been looking forward to seeing your face all day , my love , you’ve been running in circles through my head all day . ❞
to sabrina, he was a divinity — a shining beacon within a life whose lights had begun to dim years ago, but he was her saving grace, the face she looked forward to seeing every single day. the guilt that brought her upon her weighed heavily, yet was overshadowed by her sheer adoration for the man.
it was sick, it really was… to be dreaming about another man while sleeping beside another each night. what made it sicker was that the other man in question was her brother-in-law. HOW COULD SHE GET HERSELF INTO SUCH A MESS? this mess, however, was one she was wholly reluctant to clean up.
my love. the redhead had underestimated how much that term of endearment would leave her so giddy. smitten as if she was a lovesick teenager experiencing romance for the first time. “i missed you...” she always did, no matter how much or how little time had passed since their last ‘ meeting. ‘
a content smile stayed firmly upon her features, leaning into him as soon as she felt him pull her close. “yeah, you’d definitely be a fool for that, if i do say so myself.” she quipped playfully before finding a spot to place down the pizza box and bottle of wine, her smile quickly transforming into a smirk. “i’ve been looking forward to this all day.” not one word of a lie. she’d never admit it, but her eyes had remained trained on the clock all afternoon, internally counting down the hours, minutes until she was going to be free from the constraints of her nine to five to be whisked away into their loved up little bubble that only they knew about.
a hand rested against his chest gently, her eyes gazing into his lovingly before she finally gave into the craving she’d had a hankering for all day. the feeling of his lips against her own. she leaned in and kissed him with the kind of passion and pure need that was only reserved for him, allowing herself to savour it for a few moments before she pulled away slightly. “how was your day?”

SHE’S NOT PAYING attention , granted , why would she ? she wasn’t here to make friends , all she wanted was her coffee before she had to trek back to her apartment , it was a free day today ( if you considered what she did as an actual job , many didn’t ) but that didn’t mean she wasn’t working , edits & videos to be uploaded , & she’d spent far too long awake last night . ❝ just ask for extra syrups , i don’t know . ❞ she grumbled , never having been a morning person & she doesn’t mean to come across as snarky as she does .

Lenny had an early start, which he wasn't a fan off-- however he did like being off early in return. His job being so physically meant he was usually found in any place that had anything sugary right after work, before he headed home so he wouldn't absolutely crash.
Today's victim was the coffee shop, where he wanted the most obnoxiously sweet drink he could get, maybe even a slice of cake to go along with it. As he waited in the cue he started to doubt his order, usually he preferred to go to the bakery close to his home. "Hey-- you got any clue what the most obnoxiously sugary drink is in this place? I need a ton of sugar." he questiond the closest person, hoping they were listening to him.

SHE REQUIRED MONEY , that was the only reason she would be out of bed before noon . the morning shift was obnoxious & unneeded , abbey held an unbridled hatred of the population who thought it a great idea to get coffee at this time , but alas , to live , she needed money . the upside to the early starts , meant by this time of day , she was already halfway through her shift & therefore on her break , but the measly thirty minutes she got meant getting coffee & a meal from the same place she worked . ❝ you’ll rot your teeth . ❞ she muttered . ❝ but , white chocolate latte with three pumps of caramel , tastes like straight chocolate & there’s devils food cake in the fridge . ❞

BREATHS COME IN wheezes as she finally catches up to him . she was certainly not made for running , & following him , by george , he moved far too quick . hands to knees the young mechanic struggled to regain her breath before she raised a pointed finger in his direction . ❝ put your shirt back on , you goofy goober . ❞ she huffs . ❝ you are like , the hardest person to catch , damn . ❞

Brodie was looking around the vineyard, his jog slowing down to a stroll. Though it was catered towards the elite population, the male had a soft spot for the trails that led him here. Ignoring one of the many signs that stated to leave the grapes alone and listening to the intrusive rumbling of his stomach, the tall male took a grape from the vine and popped it into his mouth. Upon hearing someone getting closer, the Sato man took his shirt off, one-handed, in a fluid motion. Partly as a distraction tactic, partly to commit to the bit he was about to pull. "Damn, time for some more push-ups." He stated as if that was what he was doing this whole time.

❝ . . . JOE . ❞ SHE REPEATS , the name rolling over her tongue , as if she were savouring the flavour of it , it was a line that she dared not to cross until the invitation was there . ❝ i do know that , but isn’t it preferred to be professional ? ❞ she quips , but the coy smile flourished on painted lips says otherwise , that she’d easily conceded to his request . ❝ just the same as usual then ? ❞ she stands from the desk , straightening out the skirt with ease offering the man a nod of her head . it wasn’t often he requested her opinion , hell , even she knew her opinion didn’t matter all the same , but flattery worked well with her and she struggled to contain her smile , peering upwards . ❝ it’s also almost three in the afternoon , did you want me to organise a late lunch ? i know for a fact you haven’t eaten . ❞ she prompted , almost like a stern mother .
"Joe is fine, you know that." he replied at her calling him sir. he didn't mind it; in truth, the way her lips curled around the word "sir" made his body betray him more than he liked to admit and at this point, he needed to be able to present himself for the day ahead. Walking over to her desk, his shoulders relaxed, his fingertips touching the wood on her desk. "Would you mind bringing me a coffee? I need a refill." he smiled and watched the dark-haired beauty before him. he hated that she was this beautiful and knew her looks had never been his reason for hiring her. Along with beauty, she had wits, and Joaquin had no doubt she would climb the ladder of his company in no time. "bring one for yourself as well; I have a few reviews I'd like you to go over with me in the meeting room 327." he didn't in truth need her opinion on them. Still, he found her company soothing, along with the fact that she indeed had inquiries about what he did most of the time, and if he could somehow pull her further up the company ladder in respective manners, he would.

LIKE OLD LEATHER & honey , a scent so rich filtered through the crowd as he weaved through the city , he wasn’t late , but it wasn’t early , barely making the reservation in time , but the smile would make up for it , he was sure . wide & bright , intoxicatingly warm & impossibly sweet , his smile flourishes as he catches sight of her . admittedly , it had been a few weeks since he’d settled back on home soil , but he was also overwhelmingly busy that even his manager struggled to contact him , so when the second of free time opened up , his fingers itched to dial an oh so familiar number . ❝ . . . sweetheart. ❞ he greets , without thought his lips meeting her forehead as he brandishes a bouquet of her favourites before her .

she had waited at the restaurant doors nervously , rocking back and forth on her heels as she watched through the crowd for him . he'd been back in town for a bit , but this would be the first time she'd be seeing him and it gave her butterflies in her stomach . they were both famous so you'd think she'd never get like this ; but their relationship was different than others she had with past boyfriends . nate made her giggle , and he he made her feel loved . something she hadn't felt in a long time . when she saw his head high above the others , her heart started to race , palms getting sweaty . why was she so nervous ? its not like it was their first date ? they'd been together for a year now , she should be used to seeing him . maybe it was the actual thought of feeling him instead of seeing him on a screen for once .

THE ONCE HARDENED features turn soft , the exasperation now clear from tone & features as he looks at her . he loved her . desperately so , he did not , however , love wedding planning . if it were up to him , the courthouse with them only would suffice , but she wasn’t that type of girl , he knew that , and he knew her family would certainly not approve of it , & so he endured the wedding planning to the best of his abilities . ❝ how about we go catch a movie or something , then dinner ? ❞ date nights were common for ollie to suggest , being able to show her off was something he enjoyed doing more than anything . ❝ or we could stay in , order take out from that place you like ? i don’t know , i just wanna be with you , babe . ❞
kiki knew he was probably bored , men were never really into wedding planning as much as the women . but this was important to her . this was THEIR wedding , their one day to shine and she wanted it to be perfect . maybe that was the perfectionism in her that was making it difficult , but she was saying no to everything he had suggested and maybe he was growing tired of it . ❝ 'm sorry , pookie . you know how i get sometimes .. we can take a break and do something else , yeah ? what do you wanna do ? you have all my attention . ❞

SICK SATISFACTION CREPT through his veins , like blood , though the colour of viscous liquid would not be the crimson to leak from ones body , but vicious & black . the sight of her was truly something to behold as she stood in the doorway to his work , his safety net . had this been some romantic comedy , the pair would have been best friends , not realised their feelings , but if this were a movie it would certainly be that of a melodrama , for she was not his to love and yet . . . he did so anyway . he expects her , despite the surprise that washes his features , because he does , for years now they’d been at this routine , a whisper of late nights of work to his brother and her children , & yet she was often tangled within his sheets , this was the sick satisfaction . ❝ . . . 𝐋𝐎𝐂𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 — luis’ bookshop & cafe.
what they were doing was wrong. so very, very wrong. never in a million years did sabrina think that she’d get herself into such a debacle — sleeping with her husband’s brother. it went against everything she had stood for, and in all honesty, even the concept sounded like the plot of some ridiculous lifetime film, but she simply couldn’t quit luis. he’d stolen her heart in the most intense of ways, and she’d be blatantly lying if she said she hadn’t been drawn to him from the very first moment she’d laid eyes on him.
that’s what her life was now — going behind the back of the father of her children in order to sate her desire for his younger sibling. she took any chance she got to be able to have time with the man. it was risky… too risky, yet it was a risk she was willing to take.
the excuse that she used on her husband this particular evening was that she had to stay late at work, a completely cliche one at that. when in reality she had gone to luis’ work not too long after closing, a pizza box in one hand and a bottle of wine in the other, all in hopes to be able to relish in his presence.
before opening the door, green hues peeked through the glass in a bid to spot the man, it took a few moments of scouring before she finally spotted him — even just the sight of him caused her heart to race so rapidly she could have sworn it was on the verge of beating out of her chest.
finally, she pushed open the door and walked inside with ease, relieved to see that the last employees had left for the day, which was a bonus for the pair.
“hi!” she greeted jovially, her lips instantaneously curving into a grin as she took the man in in all his glory. “in the mood for pizza by any chance?”

EYES TRAIL THE blondes movements , mouth half lifted as she listened . just letting the other babble on about her idea , & if she was being honest , charlie found the idea intriguing enough to very well go through with it. ❝ . . . i have heard stories about that infinity pool . ❞ she muses lightly because it’s true , the country club in which the blonde speaks off is highly exclusive , invite only place and there is often whispers all over the city about it . ❝ i’m down , as long as you are . ❞

She plopped down on the couch. "I have an idea!" Her eyes bright as she attempted to bite back a grin. Though, the corners of her lips still managed to turn up ever so slightly. "So that hoity-toity country club is throwing a couples shindig for free." The blonde gushed, pooling over like an active volcano. "Something about the owners having their anniversary and wanting to share it- anyway, we can act like a couple to get in and finally have access to that infinity pool, buffet and who knows whatever rich fancy stuff they got going on." It was proposed with a proud smile.
