It is the height of the war in Vietnam, and U.S. Army Captain Willard is sent by Colonel Lucas and a General to carry out a mission that, officially, 'does not exist - nor will it ever exist'. The mission: To seek out a mysterious Green Beret Colonel, Walter Kurtz, whose army has crossed the border into Cambodia and is conducting hit-and-run missions against the Viet Cong and NVA. The army believes Kurtz has gone completely insane and Willard's job is to eliminate him! Willard, sent up the Nung River on a U.S. Navy patrol boat, discovers that his target is one of the most decorated officers in the U.S. Army. His crew meets up with surfer-type Lt-Colonel Kilgore, head of a U.S Army helicopter cavalry group which eliminates a Viet Cong outpost to provide an entry point into the Nung River. After some hair-raising encounters, in which some of his crew are killed, Willard, Lance and Chef reach Colonel Kurtz's outpost, beyond the Do Lung Bridge. Now, after becoming prisoners of Kurtz, will Willard & the others be able to fulfill their mission?

In the early 1950's, the threat of Communism created an air of paranoia in the United States and exploiting those fears was Senator Joseph McCarthy of Wisconsin. However, CBS reporter Edward R. Murrow and his producer Fred W. Friendly decided to take a stand and challenge McCarthy and expose him for the fear monger he was. However, their actions took a great personal toll on both men, but they stood by their convictions and helped to bring down one of the most controversial senators in American history.

A group of reporters who are trying to decipher the last word ever spoke by Charles Foster Kane, the millionaire newspaper tycoon: "Rosebud". The film begins with a news reel detailing Kane's life for the masses, and then from there, we are shown flashbacks from Kane's life. As the reporters investigate further, the viewers see a display of a fascinating man's rise to fame, and how he eventually fell off the "top of the world".

Παρόλα αυτά, την παραμονή των Χριστουγέννων, συνάπτεται μια αυθόρμητη, ανεπίσημη εκεχειρία, κατά τη διάρκεια της οποίας οι στρατιώτες της πρώτης γραμμής συναντιούνται ειρηνικά στη νεκρή ζώνη… Η ταινία αφηγείται την πραγματική ιστορία των Γερμανικών, Γαλλικών και Βρετανικών στρατευμάτων στα γάλλο-ελβετικά σύνορα, που ξέχασαν για λίγο ότι ανήκουν σε εχθρικά στρατόπεδα και ενώθηκαν κάτω από τους ύμνους των Χριστουγέννων σε ένα συγκινητικό και πρωτόγνωρο κλίμα αδελφοσύνης, αψηφώντας τις εντολές των ανωτέρων τους.

In 1914, World War I, the bloodiest war ever at that time in human history, was well under way. However on Christmas Eve, numerous sections of the Western Front called an informal, and unauthorized, truce where the various front-line soldiers of the conflict peacefully met each other in No Man's Land to share a precious pause in the carnage with a fleeting brotherhood. This film dramatizes one such section as the French, Scottish and German sides partake in the unique event, even though they are aware that their superiors will not tolerate its occurrence.

Ο Jack Skellington, ο Βασιλιάς της Κολοκύθας στην Πόλη του Halloween, έχει πια βαρεθεί τη μονοτονία του μασκαρέματος και του τρομάγματος που επιβάλλει κάθε χρόνο ο εορτασμός του Halloween. Μια μέρα που περιπλανιόταν στο δάσος, ανακάλυψε τυχαία την Πόλη των Χριστουγέννων και ενθουσιάστηκε τόσο πολύ με την ιδέα των Χριστουγέννων, ώστε, επιστρέφοντας στην Πόλη του Halloween, προσπαθεί να πείσει τους κατοίκους της να υποδυθούν χριστουγεννιάτικους ρόλους και να τον βοηθήσουν να οργανώσει τη γιορτή των Χριστουγέννων -- όμως, αλίμονο! Αποδεικνύεται πως, τελικά, δεν είναι και τόσο εύκολη υπόθεση!

Jack Skellington, the pumpkin king of Halloween Town, is bored with doing the same thing every year for Halloween. One day he stumbles into Christmas Town, and is so taken with the idea of Christmas that he tries to get the resident bats, ghouls, and goblins of Halloween Town to help him put on Christmas instead of Halloween -- but alas, they can't get it quite right.

Η ταινία περιγράφει την αληθινή ιστορία του Henri Charrière, γνωστού με το παρατσούκλι ‘‘Πεταλούδας’’ (‘‘Papillon’’), ο οποίος έχει άδικα καταδικαστεί σε ισόβια καταναγκαστικά έργα στα κάτεργα της Γαλλικής Γουιάνας. Στο πλοίο, κατά τη μεταφορά του, γνωρίζει έναν πλαστογράφο, τον Louis Degas, και μεταξύ τους θα αναπτυχθεί μια ισχυρή φιλία. Στη σωφρονιστική αποικία οι συνθήκες είναι απάνθρωπες. Ο Πεταλούδας θέλει απεγνωσμένα να αποδράσει. Αποφασισμένος, λοιπόν, ξεκινά μια σειρά από απόπειρες, αλλά καμία δε στέφεται με επιτυχία. Παρά την εξαθλίωση, την απομόνωση και τα βασανιστήρια στα οποία τον υποβάλλουν, συνεχίζει απτόητος τις προσπάθειές του να βρει το δρόμο προς την ελευθερία…

Henri "Papillon" Charierre is sentenced to life in prison and transported to the penal in French Guyana. Aboard ship on the voyage over, he meets Louis Degas, a forger. They form a bond that will last them a great many years. The conditions at the penal colony are horrific and Papillon desperately wants to escape. His first attempt ends quickly in failure and as a result he spends 2 years in solitary confinement. His next attempts is somewhat more successful and he actually spends a idyllic time with a tribe of Central America Indians. Once caught however, he does 5 years in solitary confinement. Once released, he decides to make one final attempt at freedom.
