I haven’t stopped listening to The Tortured Poets Department for the past few days and the first time I heard this song, my jaw dropped because it felt very much like the ending of KH3. Now I’m going to just cry again

so the day I started editing this video I experienced a sudden loss, i woke up around midnight to learn someone I grew up alongside had passed really unexpectedly, and really between that and 2020 in general it led me to spiral with how I was feeling, i started editing this on 2 hours of sleep, fighting back tears and just believing that this wasn't real life. I'm just trying to be completely honest here cause only a few people know this fun fact because its something i had chose not to post about since i couldn't find the words. recently i had just begun thinking that i will never get to see that person age past the same age i had been at the time even though his younger brother is now older than he was at the time of his passing and it has made me think more about this video.

everyone handles grief differently and thinking about how the characters in the game lost someone who was probably just as close to them it puts it into perspective on how we do have that opportunity to see the characters grieve.

the funny thing is around people i had put up a front for so long and finally when it got too much to bear i kept crying sometimes for several hours on end. it honestly reminds me of how Riku must have felt during that time in which basically both Kairi and Sora were absent in limit cut.

we do have the opportunity to see characters grieve and learn how to deal with their grief in kh4, and why grief is kinda a theme in the dark road i don't think it can hold a candle to the grief that the main cast is feeling after this guy who risked everything tooth and nail went through just to save them, not once, but multiple times. There's going to be characters that break down, think they aren't good enough to help, feeling worthless because they lost someone dear to them. There's going to be characters who only care about what they can do to save sora even if it costs them. its going to be interesting to see how all of the characters handle the stress and grief.

Sokai week day 5- Star-Crossed lovers or sky and sea

Ive had an idea to use this song for them for over a year now. This song reminded me so much of maps and I'm happy I finally spent the money on it to make this video. With all the forces pulling them apart they still find ways to find each other and be with each other like how the sunrise and sunset on the beach reunite sky and sea with the power of the light they both use that light to find each other again Risking everything to be with each other as we see at the end of kh3.

Sokai week day 4- free day I made this with no prompt in mind completely an honestly it was pretty fun to edit. 

One thing I love about KH3 is how it gives Sora the option to do these more mundane, everyday activites, and how this makes his disappearance at the end of the game feel a bit more tragic (to me, anyway).

Sora hasn't really been a normal kid in...well, several years, I suppose. But in KH3 he's doing things like: getting a phone for the first time and taking selfies + picture of his friends, snapping photos of new locales he visits like one would when traveling for recreation, sledding down a snowy mountain, learning how to cook, dancing at a festival with strangers, playing a video game, etc. These are all optional diversions and minigames of course, but they're slightly less video game-y in the sense that they involve very normal activites that a real person would do, and aren't something like...hanging by a balloon helping a stuffed bear get honey from a tree, as an example.

For once, he's getting the chance to enjoy life's simpler pleasures. But it's almost like he's finally getting the opportunity to do these things again precisely because it's his last chance to. I feel like this is conveyed in a really poignant way when Re:Mind's ending reveals that Sora decides to spend what little time he has left with a good friend he's unintentionally been neglecting, engaging in simple, human activities like watching fireworks or watching the sunset.

And I can't help but imagine that, after he disappears, Kairi and Riku go looking through his phone for clues...only to come across his photo roll, documenting his journey throughout KH3. Silly selfies, photos of the dishes he's made with Little Chef, beautiful vistas, captured moments of joy and whimsy. And it's the last remaining record of the normal life that destiny simply won't let him have.

so the kh miraculous au won! im currently writing the murderer one which I'm already on 5 pages and not to the real meat of the story
