Cops are usually only ever brought to enforce violence and never protect anyone, I think the excuse of "fighting antisemitism on campus" is instantly disproven with the massive cop presence because yeah right you'd "waste" state resources on protecting anyone from anything. Hordes of cops only mean you made people mad, not that they want to help anyone.

Realized if I beat around the bush this is gonna take forever so, hi, Im a computer scientist who is a disabled trans woman. I am highly competent but unemployable due to certain disability issues. Currently Im working on PierMesh (https://piermesh.net) and trying to get funding for it. In the short term though Ive been working on learning Proxmox and Im at a point where I feel confident enough with it to be ready to set up experimentation for providing cheap vps hosting. While I could slowly scrape together the tech for this I think the sooner Im less dependent on donations the better. Please consider helping me fund the tech I need to get set up to provide hosting. the Columbia University arrests are worse than they seem. They're arresting protesting students for trespassing. It goes without saying students cannot meaningfully "trespass" in the common areas of a university they attend. So Columbia University has suspended all student protestors from their institution, in the process revoking their access to housing, their belongings, and most crucially damaging their academic futures. We are witnessing full scale silencing and removal of anyone of conscience from the next generation of academia.

Eman's family is currently in danger!

Two weeks ago, the area to which Eman's family was displaced was bombed. As the war in Sudan rages, there is no where in the country they can go where they are safe. Eman's family has already lost their home, which was bombed while they were inside, martyring Eman's brother.

Due to the instability of Sudan's currency, the amount raised from this campaign so far is not nearly enough for them to leave Sudan. We have to raise more funds, and quickly.

as i do more studies of people i've come to realize just how much i've improved in copying and enhancing when copying a reference, but ive stagnated in terms of actual character design

let me try and explain what i mean

i was doodling some undertale characters the other night and i find it nice that i was able to improve my shape language when drawing them, but i struggle in designing a new character that doesn't already exist, creating something new

tldr being able to copy from reference is great but theres a reason why design and illustration are two different fields.
