your fs seems borderline parental (not in an overbearing or creepy way though.) you could have dealt with issues with your dad and/or giving your all in relationships with nothing in return. I feel like your connection will be healing towards that. your fs will make sure your emotional and financial needs (emotional and financial wants too) are met enough for you to re-enjoy your childhood a way you didn't get to. a major thing for you to do is working on your shadow work and learning to manifest. after that, your fs will come in. this means unlearning toxic relationship ideas and going through some tests. it might be rough but you'll get a fs who values you. I feel like you'll just have a gut feeling when it's time. like you'll see them and know. your fs will be a bit outgoing about this. you might turn them down at first if you're shocked. it seems a bit shocking 😭 like coming in with an offer immediately or almost immediately.

so it seems like you two will reconcile but there's still negative aspects that need to be handled first. this person seems like they could have a third party problem. they might be kind of a player. they definitely have to work on learning to settle before they get with you. even if it's not cheating, it could be quick relationships, attachment issues, quick flings, etc etc. whatever they're doing right now isn't healthy for them and wouldn't be healthy for you. in the meantime they need to work on fixing their issues while you work on healing. eventually, they'll come in. make sure you're available and emotionally prepared by that point.

it's a bit confusing 😭 I'm attached to my feelings enough to understand them and what they stem from but not enough to feel like their my own feelings. if you believe in a "source" (like god, the universe) then this means you are being given information to channel (I hope you know what channeling means 😭 it's hard to explain but basically receiving messages.) meditation seems like it opens you up to channeling messages more (especially from how you describe it.) keep in mind when you hear messages to listen for warnings, symbolism, and flat-out truths. with time, you'll start to understand what these messages are saying easier. it might help to journal them down. be careful to not forget important messages. if you don't believe in a source, you can interpret it as just channeling too, I won't force you to change your beliefs ofc :)

I'd say not to worry about it too much. you should do what you want (which in this case is studying the fields you're interested in.) if you are interested in them the most and want to study them the most, then that will make you most happy. the only thing stopping you from happiness is your own doubts for your own decision making skills. whatever you choose will be the right choice. you know yourself better than any person does. you should still think through what you want, but this time just think about what you want to do. what do you like? not what you think would be the smart choice. do what you want now so you don't regret not choosing what you wanted later.
