King Magnifico definitely seems like Prince Hans 2.0. In other words, he could've been written better about a million different ways by fanfic writers instead of the actual writers.

I think if Hans showed up in Frozen 2, this is exactly what would happen.

Yeah and I was expecting a script with a coherent plot containing logic and a cool story too. 🤡
Hans fans going to see Frozen 2, thinking he’ll be in the sequel:

I agree 100%. This sequel reminds me of Ralph Breaks the Internet a LOT. That movie also added a lot of new characters that it did very little with, didn't seem to understand the personalities of the original characters, had a barely successful, humorous musical number (Slaughter Race/Lost in the Woods) and had a lot of action with very little logic to it all. I'd swear that the same people worked on both films.
I didn't know Santino had been told that. How very vexing.
Ok I finally watched Frozen 2 and all I can say is that I would NOT have written it like that. I don't see why it's so difficult to write a coherent plot that doesn't stuff in way too many new characters so that none of them get sufficient screen time to justify their existence. Also if a lot of your movie is about the past it would be better to use flashbacks or magical visions of the past (eg. A Christmas Carol) instead of "water memory" snow sculptures that sometimes move but usually don't. The new elemental characters are blatant marketing. Honestly this movie seems to exist purely so that Elsa can have a new outfit and a cool water horse and a cute salamander pet. But the flying leaves were just sad. Why not make it be a bird or something ffs?
You know who coulda used all that screen time for some character development instead of the dozens of new characters/pets? Anna and Elsa's parents, Kristoff and Sven, hell even Marshmallow and the snowgies. I think this was just completely phoned in for cash and they really had no good new ideas for these characters. Most of the songs were totally disposable too. I won't even mention the lost potential of including Hans or like ANYTHING relevant to the first movie. Even the new costuming felt very unrelated to Frozen 1. What a waste this film was, honestly.

I love villains with complicated emotional shit so I have no problem with Hans being a villain whether his character gets further canon exploration or not. I also don’t think anybody should bitch at people for wanting him to find redemption of some kind, because that’s a cool idea for a Disney villain who’s done some awful shit, imo. Thirsting for villains who are just being villains is also valid.
Also, Elsa saying what she did is perfectly in character and believable considering her experiences with him, but doesn’t really indicate anything other than she personally loathes him for totally understandable reasons.
Dear Fandom,
I have deleted my original posts regarding Elsa calling Hans irredeemable due to the notes on them being WAY out of hand and too many asks I don't want to respond to. I still believe in what I said and stand by every statement regarding canon.
Hans is an unapologetic villain whom while being capable of growth and redemption has shown no sign of remorse or regret in movie canon. He will have no canon redemption arc. Sometimes no matter how much you like the bad guy they will always be the bad guy because that is just their purpose in the story.
Elsa and Anna (his victims) are justified in viewing him as a monster of a person because of those choices. He tried to murder Elsa. Any rational person would be upset about that.
Elsa's tragic mistakes are not equal to Hans' manipulative, premeditated actions. They are not comparable.
Elsa has show remorse and regret what what she caused in Frozen. So much so that making a mistake that hurts others again is a major fear she has in Frozen II. She has yet to forgive herself. Arendelle forgave her because once her magic was lifted there was no harm done.
Kristoff never met Hans and from the beginning felt Anna marrying him was a mistake.
The characters were having lighthearted fun. It was a few jokes for the audience (who does not take these movies as seriously as you do) to laugh at.
That is canon. You can either accept it or dislike it. We can be friends and rp either way. I will still perform mental gymnastics to ship helsa because believe it of not, I too am a Hans fan and helsa gives me life. I believe in rps and fics you can take from book and comic canons to create whatever story you want to. I support you in doing so. What I will not do is engage in arguments and negativity.

Things that are apparently true according to the internet
- Frozen is a bad movie. (Since when?? The thousandth time you heard Let It Go? Ok but before that y'all were the ones playing the shit out of it.)
- Elsa is definitely 100% gay/ace/some kind of sexuality (Ok that's not actually established in canon yet but if that's your headcanon, cool.)
- Elsanna?? You mean people ship sibling characters together? From CHILDREN'S MOVIES? The horror!! This injustice must be stopped!! (Oh, so you just got on the internet for the first time ever today. Check.)
- Hans is misunderstood and a decent guy who deserves to be loved by someone. (You just blocked out the last third of the movie, didn't you? Actually he's an arrogant asshole who pulled some cold-blooded evil shit, very unsuccessfully. But that's part of why I love him tbh.)
- Hans is the worst, most evil Disney villain ever!! HAAAAATE him and his fans!! 😡😡🤬 (C'mon, he doesn't even kill anyone. He thinks he's an evil genius but his plan is stupid. He's a decent actor and a good manipulator but that's it. I'm willing to bet that the rest of his family are better villains than him. He's a very realistic fuckboy though. Morally judging people based on their favorite fictional people is dumb, btw.)
- Kristanna are the best couple ever! (Actually I never felt it and I'm kinda rooting for them to be the first "happily ever after" couple in Disney history to break up because they just eventually wind up being incompatible. You know, like real people.)

Well that could be an imdb mistake, which often happens. But it could possibly be another cameo appearance near the end. Maybe he'll be hit by a boulder this time. Lol poor Hans.
I'm definitely not seeing any hints of him in the trailers so I'm losing hope of him being in it. But if he appears at all I'll be pleased.
