okay so actually i was thinking about the diamond swap sketch i made earlier and said fuck it, so now i have designs for the diamond pearls? i might change it up slightly but regardless here they are

you mentioned that all pearls (outside or blue) were rejuvenated at the start of era 2. i can’t imagine the kind of heartbreaking kick in the pants it was for blue pearl to see yellow again and she just doesn’t remember her. LIKE THATS SOO AUHGHFHFHGH

AND WHAT A KICK IT IS. blue and yellow pearl were VERY close in eras 0-1 and had a very happy healthy relationship. when pink pearl was revealed to be a shatterer and a rebel they helped support each other through it, until pink diamond snapped. pink and blue pearl were friends but blue misses yellow SO much. it's very hard for her to try and rekindle their relationship because it hurts that yellow pearl doesn't remember any of their time together, any of their talks or pink. it's so hard to interact with her knowing that that's her yellow. and it certainly doesn't help that yellow's default personality is a little on the cold side. it's another slap to the face. essentially, blue pearl is big sad. some other notes; yellow diamond did NOT want to rejuvenate yellow pearl, but she was afraid yellow pearl could one day do what pink pearl did. i mean, she knew logically yellow pearl probably wouldn't, but there was always that irrational fear, and well, it's what pink wanted anyway. fear's a hell of a thing. and of the two, yellow diamond feels a lot more of it. it's a motivator.

wanted to make some angel auras a la shy rose, hippie rose, and superfan rose for fun.. theres no copy of iris though!

well. yes! after iris' shattering pink rose above the other diamonds instead of being their equal. she takes several colonies, primarily to focus on the growth of the gempire by providing laboratories and aristocrats. it is now that the diamonds truly begin to take over worlds rapid fire, instead of only having a few and focusing their resources on homeworld. bonus: insignia designs for the three eras!

era 0 has the diamonds side by side, all equals in sisterhood, otherlapping each other to represent their closeness.

era 1 has iris diamond beneath the others, showing both the difference in status and her disconnect from blue and yellow, but she adds a streamlined, structured appearance.

era 2 is closest to one of canon's diamond authority. the diamonds are a different color and are no longer touching, representing how each diamond has changed, and how they have drifted apart.

How do the CG's find out Angel is a Diamond in this au?

im thinking somewhere around the part where peridot and pearl have that mech-fight in su, aquamarine and angel aura have their own fight. i'm still not entirely sure where precisely i want to put the event but the gist of it is that somehow, something very sharp falls on angel aura and impales her in front of the crystal gems. her gem shape is the first clue to her true identity, as garnet has never seen a quartz with a pointed tip. maybe its a weird perfect quartz thing, they chalk it up to at first, as that was the excuse angel aura and rose pearl came up with. then this happens.
