The cover and page illustrations for the 2024 calendar (wall-mounted/A2 size and desktop/A5 size) have been released. It will include original illustrations of the original 6 guys (Hijikata, Okita, Saitou, Harada, Heisuke and Kazama).
The early purchase bonus is an acrylic keychain of any of the illustrations, Chizuru included.
There's a calendar set of each guy that includes the calendar, two bromides and an acrylic stand of one of the guys.

3rd image is posted since i did slight touch-ups to the image since it looked a tad off to me… i think that might have been the result of my scanner.
Taken from 薄桜鬼 十周年記念本 -桜花爛漫-. Feel free to use though i’d like a credit (not necessary tho) if the 3rd image is used…. also i wanna know how these are used lol.

my thoughts and analysis on kazama.
Kazama is one of those character who I don’t talk about much. It’s not because I don’t like him, it’s actually quite the opposite. I’m just generally so preoccupied with the actual Shinsengumi, the history behind it and things of that variety that I tend to focus a bit on the series’ demons a whole lot less.
I always feel like the first thing I should say about Kazama is that his ending is just that. It’s an ending. It’s not a route. It’s essentially the consolation prize for picking certain things if you don’t choose (or fuck up) a specific Shinsengumi member. There’s a certain irony to that, because Kazama himself would scoff at the idea of being considered the consolation prize (and maybe that’s part of why they handled it that way, rather than give him a full route).

I wanted to draw Miki and Itou together because there is a SCANDALOUS lack of art of them together (call the police) but didn't settle on an idea until my Mum said (of our dogs), "Look! They're back-to-back, like sisters!"
This drawing gave me a lot of struggles and I'm not 100% happy but that's GOOD because it means I'm learning and growing :3
More ranting and, more importantly, LADYBUG, under the cut...
There was this ladybug on my laptop the whole time I was drawing today so I added it to Miki's finger... It stayed in the same place for hours but now it's chilling on the other side of the screen...
Can you see the ladybug? Idk how bad tumblr compression is but you surely can...

This took me longer than I thought it would because I kept fucking everything up... I thought that Itou's face would be way easier to draw because he has such distinctive features but I was WRONG! And he's always pulling weird faces in the art he's in XD
I also did both guys, shaded and everything, without knowing what the background would be, which was kinda dumb... I don't know what kind of trees those are and I don't care. My brain just said, "Leaves pretty, trees swirly, hurry up: finishing painting!"
My favourite thing about this drawing is how Miki's floofy hair is smooshed against Itou's head XD That was kind of unintentional but Miki has so much floofy hair that poor Itou's head got in the way...
I wanted to do something kinda goofy and cute to start with... Maybe I will draw something angsty next 3:) I have a huge folder full of Souma Hen screenshots I might redraw...
