The evening was still young, the moon stood high above in the clear sky. Pollution made it hard to spot stars, if there were any to be seen to begin with. But Iron Fist hastily made his way ahead, inhaling the cold nightly air into his lungs — only to exhale it later on.

He was a bit unsettled. He had a talk earlier with the rest of the Defenders, and apparently The Black Cat was up to no good again.

Despite their warnings and judgement, Danny always felt like there were more behind all the story he was told. Could Felicia be up to petty crimes out of the blue?

Apparently she stole something that would send all kinds of crime lords after her — not only the defenders. They said it was a pin, but what made it so special?

Danny had no idea.

He soon spotted a feminine silhouette prowling about in the dark. It was unmistakable — he had seen it times before. It belonged to none other than the cat burglar.

Which compelled him to speed up his pace.

"Black Cat! Hold it!" The Defender's voice boomed from behind as he finally came to a halt, meters away from her.

"Do you know just how much trouble you're in? Return the pin you stole to us, and we'll keep it safe."

If he knew her long enough, he probably knew what she'd say — but did she have no worries at all? That pin pretty much endangered her and all those close to her. If it were under the Defender's protection, it would be their problem instead.

"So, how's it gonna be?"
