mlb ny special

So… the NY special.

It was just… so amazing. The animation was spot on and super enjoyable. I love how they kinda remixed the music, it sounded amazing.

We got a native and black superhero and that made me so happy. There was finally some great rep, especially because the episode took place in the USA.

And the deeper voices… I don’t know what to say about them. I literally fell in love with them. Adrien’s voice just made me go crazy I’m sorry.

I have a lot to say about this now sorry in advance lmao

-That yellow rose scene. Chat Noir was rambling and that was so cute (also his self love was adorable)

-Miss Bustier is pregnant! That came outta nowhere and I wish we got a backstory but I’m really happy for her!! She’s so sweet

-Mrs. Mendeleiev honestly didn’t deserve that. Yes, she can be a sourpuss sometimes, but she’s really not that bad, she can have a good side and only wants what’s best for her students

-Marinette literally called Adrien her husband… please the second-hand embarrassment

-That whole Adrienette scene. Mari turned into a whole tomato and Adrien was oblivious the entire time please someone pick these kids up

-Nino & Alya, Mylene & Ivan, and Rose & Juleka all sleeping like that all cuddled up was so precious and wholsome

-Adrien with this whole speech to Marinette… sweetie you don’t talk to “just a friend” like that. He said “You’ve got something” and I thought it was gonna be some wholesome moments but no. He DID hug her thought so that’s enough

-The superheroes! Majestia and Aeon (the black character) are mother and daughter and that’s so cute

-When Nino said “Open your eyes. Take it all in.” Adrien looked at Marinette and if you noticed, Alya pointed to Mari she’s literally the #1 Adrienette shipper

-Nino said “My girl and I” when referring to Alya that was so adorable

-Ok the Adrienette moonlight scene. I’ll take about this one more later but the music was the same as the one from Despair Bear (2x4) and I thought that was really nice and symbolic

-”I don’t mind being stuck somewhere with a friend like you” Sir… as I said you do not talk to friends like that (also them just trying to get in the hotel was just chaos)

-When they both got in that one room together, during the scene where a pillar, I think it was, was failing onto Marinette, Adrien’s first instinct was to transform and save he, even though he would expose himself. But we really thought we’d get a Marichat moment there huh

-Ladybug was so damn angry at him thought. She got super pissed and I think it was pretty unjustified because he had no choice and at least he showed up there to help. I felt really bad for him :(

-”That’s right, he never asks for anything, do you, Chat Noir?” My heart? Shattered. hey were comfortable in a position like that with him on top of her, she didn’t push him away, but she way so damn angry and his face just broke me

-”Well I can’t trust you anymore, can I?” his face and he got so distracted and upset goodbye

-He uh… did an oopsie. Majestia was so angry but everything was ok in the end (also the music during that scene was *chef’s kiss*)

-Ok so THIS scene. So much pain. They both blamed themselves and they were just so upset I could not handle it. They both detransformed and Adrien literally said “Please forgive me, my friend. I renounce you, Plagg.” And I’ve NEVER seen Marinette cry like that. That scene was probably more painful than all of Chat Blanc in my opinion.

-And Plagg with Marinette? I can’t

-A black president!! That was so amazing I loved that rep. Above that a FEMALE black president

-The way Mari and Adrien looked at each other later on (also Gabriel I hate you so much) “I wouldn’t have minded being stuck here a little longer with a friend like you.”

-Also um that scene with Alya “couldn’t you tell he was waiting for you to tell him to stay?” Alya I love you but that scene angered me. Not everyone is good at picking up social cues and I don’t even think he was implying that. They really did her dirty in the scene

-Marinette just ran for Adrien. “I already lost Chat Noir, I can’t loose Adrien too.” Help the pain in her voice just hurts.

-AND SHE FELL! That looked so painful oh my goodness. “Adrien, I love you.” I’m so broken.

-Uh so lots of chaos, but when Chat showed up in his space suit power up I swear that was the cutest thing ever. And the way Ladybug hugged him!! My heart could not take it they were both so happy and made up. They fist bumped and she was the first on to inniciate it

-Sparrow’s transformation was so epic!!

-Majestia and her wife (?) idk her name oop but they’re so cute!!!

-The new miracle holder concept in the USA is also rlly interesting

So in other words I absolutely loved this with all of my heart

You and me against the world (especially sliding doors)

Me: I will not write any fics based on the NY special. Not yet, anyway.

Also me, seeing @emsylcatac‘s post: Fine, you’ve convinced me

Here, have a sliding doors reveal one shot, hope you enjoy it! (New York Special spoilers ahead)

“Are you sure there’s no way for me to swing in from the roof?” Ladybug asked, anxiously fiddling with her yoyo string as she looked at the building that stood before her.

“If you were available later this week, you could, but unfortunately the scaffolding is staying up until the works are officially finished.” The event organiser answered apologetically.

“From a window, then, perhaps?” She insisted.

“Unfortunately the bay windows that give inside the main hall don’t open.”

“Is there a back door of any kind, then?”

Her interlocutor looked at her confusedly. People had told him working with Ladybug was easy, that she was very down to earth for someone who spent most of her time fighting on the Parisian rooftops. So far, though, she seemed like a bit of a diva. He agreed that having her make a grand entrance would be better for the press, but today was the only day that fit both her and Chat Noir’s schedules for a daytime event until the next month. Was it too much to ask that they both just entered through the main door, like normal people?
