“Good god man, how many of those do you have?” Virgie stared at him and shook her head. “Though you’re right about the first time; I haven’t exactly had a chance in life to hold a gold-plated mirror.” She took the other mirror and glanced at it.
“This is a better one, scuffed or not, but what am I supposed to do with these?” Normally someone like Daring would make Virgie want to punt him to the moon at best, but there was something likable about him-she just couldn’t figure out what. “You know your princely complexion looks fine, right? The other girls are still swooning.” She’d follow him anyway, though.
“Oh, are you trying to flatter me? How sweet, I appreciate your words of reassurance no matter how many times I’ve heard them before. They always warm my heart.” Daring adjusted the bangs that hung in front of his eyes and threw finger guns at one of his many admirerers as the two moved by them to the shops.
“There’s a great importance that comes with keeping up one’s appearance, and I’m not about to shirk that responsibility! You should hold onto those, it’s never a bad idea to have a mirror or two around. Maybe you can use them to practice your smile.” The prince slipped into a shop and held the door open for the girl behind him, “Which karat do you think will bring out the blue in my eyes? I need something that suits me, but doesn’t take away from my crown.”

After a moment, Gigi slowly began to lift her head, trying to stop herself from crying so much. She struggled to get her surroundings, overwhelmed by the events of the eclipse. But she did her best to try and encourage herself…
… even if it failed.
Before she could mull over anymore thoughts, she rubbed her eyes before she heard something… or more like… someone.
Was it Whisp?
No… this voice was more… soft and concerned.
Looking around, Gigi before she noticing her mirror in front of her glowed. The voice spoke before relaying the message in text form…
??:[ ‘… is anyone there?’ ]
A bit fearful, Gigi couldn’t help but be curious and answered back with her voice.
❝ Y-yes… H-hello?
Whose there? ❞
“Oh!” Darling wasn’t expecting a response, at least, not one so direct. It seemed her mysterious guest could hear her from the other side of the mirror. “You sound like somethings wrong. Are you alright?”
She trailed a finger around the edge of the mirror, checking for any hints of what may be going on, “I’m not entirely sure how you’re in there- if you are in there. Something in this mirror is connecting me to you.”
The text dissapated as she brought her finger across as though it were in water. Darling frowned, whoever was on the other side, this probably only added to their distress. “I’m Darling.”
