Ohhh thanks.... I really like drawing her in this way either. I think Nelliel'd like to be just a princess, you know, like Belle from Beauty and the Beast (books, tea party, waltzing by candlelight and so on) but circumstances and her surrounding forced her to be not only a beauty with aristocratic manners, but also a strong and brave warrior. have you thought about any holiday prompts for grimmnel? thought it’d be cute for a concept of mistletoe, grimmjow being confused on what a mistletoe is, that nelliel has to give him a visual representation by kissing him on his cheek, and getting him all flustered

"Nelliel. You may not got it yet, but I'm not some kind of domestic kitten to play with human br-....Oh..!" YESS! Great idea, hahah! Grimmjow truly has little interest in the traditions of living world, but! he has Nelliel for self-development. I think Grimmjow is very distrustful of all this human junk that thanks to her filled Las Noches after the war with Wandenreich. So when the mistletoe becomes an excuse for Nelliel to kiss him, he is of course shocked. And also because she’s always talking too much about Ichigo while scolding Grimmjow for every little thing (as he thinks). So being a very cautious predator, Grimmjow prefers not to show his feelings first, he’s not even sure until the end that she may love him. That's why her choice of man in some sense is Christmas miracle.

Yeah, I have some ideas.

1) Grimmjow is around 25-30 years old and he still can't find his place in this world. Due to his uneasy temper, he often changes jobs, spins in an informal get-together and quite often finds himself in tough situations where he can’t do without blood and bruises. But with the advent of Nelliel in his life, such situations are becoming less and less.

2) Nelliel works in the social field, such as a teacher or a nanny. Imao her work would be connected with children. And she still sees grown men like Grimmjow as big (and dumb) kids. Nell can’t help herself, she just needs someone to take care of and educate. Btw on their first date with Grimmjow, Nelliel mentioned that she had "about a dozen children", and Grimmjow thought that she was married and meant her own children, so he kept a distance between them for a long time and in general in the depths of his soul was not sure if he had the right to hit on her or not. Of course, he didn't think to ask directly.

In addition, Nelliel also has a history of abusive relationships in her past. What's up, Nnoitra. Grimmjow knew about this, but preferred not to interfere. Until everything ended sadly for Nell. In any case, they began to communicate closely after terrible events occurred in the lives of both that affected their character. And they both learned to accept each other with all bugs in custard. Here’s a headcanon: Grimmjow decides to train by himself and ask Harribel to look after Nel for him. This was the first time he asked someone to do him a favor, especially if it’s Harribel. In TYBW Ep2, Harribel remembers her promise to Grimmjow to protect Nel as Yhwach approaches towards them. The reason she kept it is that Grimmjow assures her that he’s interested in ruling the law of the desert, not the kingdom. What matters to him is his goals and Nel (+her brothers), to which Harribel respects about him.

AAAAAAA THIS IS SO BAD I'M GONNA CRY!!! I thought before about the likely course of events, but yes, it does not matter to whom Grimmjow will give Nell to look after, the main thing is he himself is well aware that he won’t ever be able to take care of her better than Hallibel (Harribel? Ugh, whatever) could. She would do this as if Nell was her own daughter or a close one like Tres Bestias. I think Grimmjow has a deep fear of losing someone who trusted him again. Fail to foresee the situation in advance so that he and his loved ones emerge victorious from it. Fail to protect actually. Grimmjow fears that he is still not strong enough, and so, in order to protect himself from the pain of another loss, he selfishly chooses to train and fight alone. Ahh I love that so much what a problematic boy!!!!!

Okay, since Grimmjow considers himself the king, but doesn’t aspire to truly become one in reality and doesn’t confront Halibel as well, what does he actually mean? I thought of ruling desert’s law too in the way Grimmjow has his own ideas about justice and military honor, which distinguishes him from other arrancars, like Nnoitra or Szayel. Something like a symbolic elevation of the best human qualities over the bestial ones. And despite the fact that his aspect of death is destruction, Grimmjow, as we can see in TYBW, on the contrary, strives for creation. I mean, he is still ready to destroy everything around him and himself to boot, but now he is doing it for the good of Hueco Mundo and for his new comrades in faces of Hallibel and Nell. Grimmjow's motives are still vague enough that we can only guess hahah. But I really like all these theories regarding the political situation in Hueco Mundo and the role of these three in it so I gotta say thank you for sharing your thoughts!!
