Well, like I said: if there will be a sequel, I WILL be hyped!

Plus you know: if anything I feel like putting the Science Team in other games, to PLAY as games, would be more fitting to watch than them going through events of Half Life 2. It's what Coomer asked for, at the end of hlvrai, is to be put in other video games. To "see the world".

The whole thing is about them being sentient video game AIs. What would they have to do with the actual half life lore?

Hell, maybe one of those games could BE Half Life 2, though. They could go through the game, just fucking around, making it hard for "Gordon" to take the game seriously.

Like imagine, Benrey voguing in the background of while Wallace Breen is on one of his dramatic monologues (it's been a while since I've perceived Half Life 2 please spare me), and "Gordon's" just laughing his ass off. If a sequel to hlvrai could be something like THAT, I feel it would retain hlvrai's original energy well.

But once again: that's just me.

Am I like the only one who is somewhat relieved hlvrai didn't get a sequel today?

Like don't get me wrong, if RTVS wanted to do more with the characters, I would be all for that. But hlvrai just feels like such a thing that doesn't necessarily NEED a sequel. Especially since - through their jokes and improv - hlvrai lore feels like such a separate thing from Half Life lore, and since Half Life 2 and later games seem more lore heavy on account how those games tell the story, I'm not sure how they would continue the hlvrai story in a game like Half Life 2.

If a sequel does get made some day I would be hyped. But it's pretty good as a standalone thing too I feel like.

But that's just me.

You know how y2kvr is inspired by the game "Hypnospace Outlaw"?

Imagine how it'd be if y2kvr actually took place in the Hypnospace Outlaw world.

The lore is already kinda weird when you think about it: Electronic headbands that let you use your computer and browse the internet in your sleep would DEFINITELY be a viable-yet-fucked-up way for Gordon to get stuck in his computer.

But more importantly that would mean the emails would've had the opportunity to annoy Gordon by asking Forzen to play "Ready to Shave" by The Chowder Man.

It would be entirely Neo's idea. He gets the cutouts, and has Da Boss deliver the one of themmself to Malcom.

Malcom would be like: "Why?" And Neo gives him some Neo-Flavored answer that hardly actually makes any sense.

What it comes down to is that it's for The Bit(tm). What Bit(tm) in particular? Only time will probably tell but there is no guarentee.
