She chuckled to herself softly. "Didn' mean it like that, rookie."

She shrugged. "No point. Just surprised."

Kyouko nodded. "O' course! Music, right!" That was so obvious. She didn't know how she didn't think of that herself. And their protective nature was also pretty evident. she brought one leg up to her body and hugged it, leaning her chin on her knee.
"Us?" Kyouko looked a little surprised at the reversal of her question. She tilted her head and glanced away. "Well..." she started before realizing it was a harder question to answer than she had originally thought. "...Snacks? Yeah, I'm pretty sure we all like snacks." Her gaze drifted off. "... An' I guess we all like gettin' our way, ya know? Don' like losin'." She left out that pretty much all of them had varying degrees of affection for certain blue-haired comrades. Though it seemed many knew it already anyway, Kyouko wasn't able to out the rest of her "selves" to this Sayaka. They had a reputation to uphold, after all.
Kyouko looked over at Sayaka, feeling a little better after hearing her response. “Heh, yeah, I guess that did sound a bit harsh. But ya knew what I meant, so…” She trailed off a bit; not because she felt awkward, but because there wasn’t anything left to say on the subject. She leaned back and stretched. Guess this whole talkin’ ta people stuff isn’t so bad after all. After a moment of silence, she turned back to Sayaka and grinned.
“What’s somethin’ all Sayakas like? I know all my alternates are a lil’ different, but we all have things ‘n common.”

She shrugged. No use trying to avoid confrontation with someone who was already on the wrong side of pleasant. "I'd say we are." She replied coolly. "We all hafta deal with alternates 'n crap." This Kyouko was starting to tick her off, but she wasn't going to show it. She glanced over at her other self and smirked. "Have it yer way." She didn't care that her phrasing didn't come out as neutral as she had planned. Getting on good terms with this alternate wasn't looking too plausible anyway. "So what's eatin' ya?"
She smiled inwardly and sighed at her alternates aggressive display. “What’re ya gettin’ all worked up about?” She shoved her hands in her pockets and looked off to the side. So far all of the other Kyoukos she’d seen had been vastly different, personality-wise. In fact, it was more than a little unnerving. “We’re all in the same boat, ya know.”

“Well, well, what do we got here? Yet another me, huh?” Kyouko frowned a little bit, not one bit pleased at discovering yet another alternate of herself she would have to plot to take out sometime. “Well what is it?”

“Heh, how many?” Sayaka never realized what kind of impossible question that was until she was actually asked. “Geez…there’s been so many, I think I lost count.” She said with a nervous chuckle. “I’ve run across plenty of my own alternates. I’ve only actually spoken to maybe one though.” It was actually a pretty nice talk. Or not, more kind of…an upsetting air maybe? That other her, she seemed solemn, but then again she probably had her reasons. “It’s a little odd still, I guess, trying to literally talk to myself.”

"Heh. Yeah, we just keep poppin' up all over the place, huh?" She said, shifting her weight onto one leg and looking her alternate up and down. "And it looks like ya got more bark to ya than the others... Ya got some bite to go with that?"

Kyouko's smirk broadened into a grin. Her eyes may have even twinkled a bit. Now this was a reunion! While their spoken conversations mimicked a pair of swordsmen crossing arms in friendly contest, she felt much more comfortable communicating with Homura through the actual thing. She didn't have to hide or feel alone when she was fighting, even in a spar between Magi. "Deal." She took an underhanded posture and grounded herself. "Come at me!"
"You Again..."
Getting Homura to talk was a losing battle. And if he wanted something out of her, he was going to have to work for it. “Sure, I’ll fill ya in…” Kyouko said as she jumped back. She held out her soul gem and transformed; her plain hoodie and shorts turning into her deep red Magi’s outfit and a long spear appearing in her hand. The spear separated into its’ chain-linked pieces and snaked around her. She leapt back another couple times, swinging the segmented weapon around flashily before bringing them back into a single piece. “…but you’re gonna hav’ta beat it outta me.”
Homura only sighed lightly. “Very well then.” He stood and transformed as well. Sparring between them was not uncommon. It seemed to actually be the way they kept each other sharp. “I’m sure you’re not going to be holding back.” He readied himself. “Not that I expect you to.” He pulled a broadsword from his shield. “This should make things even……..If you don’t use your magic, then I won’t either…..deal?”

Kyouko nodded several times in appreciation. "Yeah, it's kinda weird, talkin' to yerself... But at least you don't look as crazy doin' it. Ya know, since they're respondin' to ya." She snickered a bit at the thought. "And if ya mess up and piss someone off, you can always try again with another alternate!" She hadn't meant to say that last part out loud, but it had been weighing heavily on her mind. She stuffed her mouth with more waffle and tried to think of a way to fix her apparent social flub.
“Ah, thanks…” Sayaka said, surprised Kyouko was offering her some at all, really. She fell silent for a moment, not sure how to continue the conversation since it was clear this Kyouko wasn’t as willing to speak up. Or at least speak up about whatever was bugging her. “Guess I can’t make you talk if you don’t wanna…” Sayaka said with a small sigh, before taking a small bite of the waffle she’d been given.

Kyouko shrugged and mulled over her options while her mouth was full. It probably wouldn't kill her to step out of her comfort zone a bit. It would probably be easier in the long-run if she tried to get along with the other Magi, even if she only thought of them as allies to begin with. Yes, that would work. She took another bite of her waffle and swallowed. "... So... how many versions of me have ya met before?" She asked, finally. "Have ya met other Sayakas too?"
“There’s always something…well, interesting, going on near where I am it seems.” Sayaka commented quietly, looking off to the side as if contemplating that thought. She let the rookie comment slide, barely, or else she’d just end up arguing about it yet again. This Kyouko sounded about normal in terms of well, her…she just seemed kind of hesitant about something. “You sure that’s it, you seem kind of distracted. You don’t usually seem that way, that’s all.”

She nodded in agreement. "Wait, what?" Was this version of herself really admitting to caring about Mami and Sayaka? It was true, she really did care about the others... but she wasn't about to admit it to anyone... But hey, she was enjoying snacks and tea with essentially herself. Why not open up a bit?
"I guess, I haven't really told 'em I that I see 'em as friends yet." She said, still trying to act like it wasn't that important. She took a long sip of tea and popped another mushroom into her mouth.
“Oh I have a couple of Puella Magi in my armed forces. Mami Tomoe and Sayaka Miki are my personal knights.” She said cheerfully and she smiled as the snacks arrived. “As far as that new threat though… I’m not sure what to make of it. I don’t like it. But… my kingdom comes before anything. So it will have to wait now won’t it?” She took the tea and had a small sip from it.

She nodded her head in thanks as her snack was handed to her. "Pretty noble of ya. But the way I see it, you just don' want your knights to get all the action." She popped a couple of the mushroom-shaped chocolates into her mouth and savored them. "Am I right,...me?"
“Servants? Heh, you’ve got it made!” Her eyes widened as her alternate’s help approached them. “Any snack, huh? Well, I’ll take some Meiji chocolate mushrooms then! You can pick the tea, I’ll have what you’re having.” Homura’s little mistake was starting to pay off. If this was the end result, she was cool with it.

"Can they fight witches for ya too?" She asked, taking a seat and leaning back. "That'd really make this gig perfect." She tilted her head to the side and grinned. "Ya know, if yer court really can take care of witches for ya, you'd be set to take down that Dark Charlotte we've been hearin' about." She gave her alternate a smug wink. "You could pro'lly take it down without even liftin' a finger."
“‘k, that’s good. I was startin’ to worry I was all stuffy and crap in another universe. That’d be too weird… Weirder than this whole thing already is… I mean, I’m talkin’ to myself, thanks to “Capt. Doom and Gloom”. Heh. Thanks for clearin’ that up.” -Gives the other Kyouko a wary look- “Ya still like snacks, right? They didn’ take that away from ya, did they?”

"I dunno what yer talkin' about." She said, shrugging. "But if interesting things happen around ya, I guess I could stick around." She took a seat near the other girl and pulled a large chocolate-filled waffle out of her pocket. She tore it in half -sort of- and offered the smaller other piece to her company. "Here." That was as smooth an attempt at being friendly as she could muster.
