FILIPINO PRIDE FROM PARIS FASHION WEEK
It's amazing to know that Filipinos are creating baby steps to be made known in the modeling industry. I was more than pleased when I saw these 2 compcards included in the show packages of the different modeling agencies for Paris Fashion Week:
CHARO RONQUILLO of ANGELS & DEMONS MODELING AGENCY
SAMANTHA GOMEZ of MAJOR MANAGEMENT

I LOVE PMAP
I have always been a fan of professional working models rather than celebrity actors. I get more giddy every time I see them or witness them do their magic on the runway. I am much more fascinated though with our very own Filipino models creating major buzz in and out of our country. What makes me feel personally prouder is that we have this association run by these models themselves and that is no other than, PMAP or the Professional Models' Association of the Philippines. For 25 years and running, PMAP remains strong and maintaining the bar for Filipino models.
In line with this, I would like to share with you one of my favorite campaigns under the collaboration of PMAP and GAS jeans. I adore the rugged yet simplistic approach to this campaign:
ALVIN DE JOYA
KARA GOZALI
HYE WON JANG
AYA ABESAMIS
IRISH ONG
MAXINE MEDINA
VAN VICTOR LEANO

Golden Globes 2013
It's awards season once again and i have to say i think this award season is the best one yet. I can say that for two reasons: first, there are a lot of legitimately breathtaking motion pictures and tv shows that rocked the past year, and second, a number of noteworthy red carpet looks sashayed awhile ago during the globes hence forecasting many more on the next award show especially the oscars. well let me share with you my personal favorite looks who walked down the carpet:
Katharine McPhee in Theyken's Theory, Spring 2013 gown. This is one of my favorite looks in this year's globes. McPhee or her stylist amped this black satin gown with sky-high heels, a subtle and simple bangle and a structured clutch. The look was complemented with her high messy bun, smoky eyes, and nude lips. This is definitely a stunner.
Lucy Liu in Carolina Herrera Pre-Fall 2013 ball gown. This dreamy floral ball gown with pockets (which made it more appealing), allowed Lucy's waist to be appreciated. She (or her stylist) also made a right choice in opting a side fishtail braid which made the entire look more simple-feminine.
Halle Berry in Atelier Versace Fall 2012. (c) RCFA. Yes I know, this is not a popular choice but I personally believe that Halle rocked it. The thigh-high slit of the abstract pink gown pumped up the sultriness of it and only Halle can rock it. The nude pumps, which are always a good choice, made her look taller.
Kate Hudson in Alexander McQueen. My most favorite ensemble for this year's Globes. The long sleeves, the keyhole-shaped details, the slight train, everything worked! The decision to keep the makeup minimal was an A plus. Her blonde hair just freely let down made the look less costume-y so a good choice as well. (c) RCFA

fall 2013 menswear show - ALEXANDER MCQUEEN
designer for the mcqueen label, sarah burton, presented a slightly creepy, horror-ish runway show for their fall 2013 collection. the venue, the music, the plastic masks. however, the label strategically showcased a collection focusing more on great tailoring and classic menswear look with a tad of military to the classic theme. here are some favorites of mine:
LOOK 1: classic, perfectly-fitted pinstripe blazer and pants, couldn't go wrong on this one.. always a classic (c) style.com
LOOK 19: a psychedelic, cathedral-window inspired full-on suit (c) style.com
LOOK 24: red velvet blazer, died on this one (c) style.com
LOOK 26: my favorite look for mcqueen 2013, a burgundy velvet blazer worn over a silk "man gown", just stunning (c) style.com

fall 2013 menswear show - KENZO
it's about time of the year again to have a series of new collections of various designers via fashion week. this year, it started as always in milan for the fall 2013 menswear. since i am trying to be active on my blog and my online moodboard, i will start posting these shows with my favorite looks from each designer..
KENZO, FALL 2013 - humberto leon and carol lim, designers of kenzo, felt inspired this season on what they see in the sky. how so? since they both live in paris and new york, they rarely settle on land for a long time hence always on flight. so they got inspired on their vision looking down from the sky: clouds, landscapes and the like. personally, i think the collection is aesthetically satisfactory, yet, the tailoring and the fit, impeccable as always. here's my favorite look from their show:
LOOK 39: always a fan of asymmetric, slim and tailored blazers and jackets (c) style.com
