More of the childhood siblings AU - The two of them are sitting waiting for Lakan and Fengxian for some sort of occasion.
Despite being siblings and bantering on a hourly basis, they will still huddle together when they're alone (Fengxian told them to stick to each other so as to be safer).

As suggested - here is Lahan's older brother (Junjie) in the young Maomao Lahan siblings AU.
I think he would be the very tired eldest brother (even though they're supposed to be cousins) but he has no choice but to handle these two, and they are definitely a hand full. He can be quite soft on them, since he can't bring himself to be too harsh.
I'd think that Lahan and Maomao would be around 11 and 10, whereas Junjie would be like in his mid teens? I don't actually know how ages work.
And yes they all have blue eyes because I've registered that as a La Clan thing (though Luomen has yellow eyes? In the anime).

Happy Chemistry kid Maomao.
She's probably that one student that will try tasting the stuff in the lab when people aren't watching (if you aren't Maomao don't do this in chemistry labs please).
I think Maomao chemistry student would be a big fan of organic chemistry, but also really like inorganic because there are a lot of cool poisons in inorganic. She may or may not dislike the maths parts of chemistry (a lot of it being physical chemistry) but she has Lahan to help her though she will never admit to accepting help.

More of the young Lahan Maomao modern siblings AU with Lakan having the opportunity to be an actual father to them (I need them to be happy). I'd think that Lahan and Maomao would display peak sibling behavior growing up.
Fengxian doesn't let Lakan choose their clothes or make any decisions really, since I bet Lakan has terrible sense with anything that isn't his job or go and xiangqi. (And yes Fengxian would definitely choose her spouse's entire wardrobe for him, and he will happily let her).

Lahan introduces Maomao to his roommate (who is popular enough that everyone but Maomao knows of becuase Maomao thinks chemistry is much more attractive than some mortal man).
SPOILERS:
I feel like Zuigetsu would be his real name, but I think he would do some sort of modelling/ acting job on the side with the name "Jinshi", so everyone calls him that. But neither Maomao nor Lahan really look at media much since they both don't really know how to use tech, so the siblings know him as Ka Zuigetsu.
Jinshi might be doing some sort of economics/ finance/ stats degree, but I can also see him being a history or social sciences student of sorts. The poor humanities student just getting dragged into the business of the stem siblings.
Of course, Lahan is obsessed with Jinshi's looks (and may or may not be actively pushing his sister and his roommate to get closer).

I imagine them to be a happy family in the modern AU where Fengxian and Lakan are married and Lahan and Maomao are their children. Fengxian would be strict but she very much dotes on her kids (just not as obviously as Lakan, but who can compare with Lakan).
I feel like Lakan would be a lawyer which would put his skills to use, whereas Fengxian would be an academic in mathematics, and of course they're both super good at xiangqi and go in different ways. (I'd like to think Fengxian taught Lahan a lot of maths when he was younger and that encouraged his love for the subject).
