Hi, I’m Saffron. I RB things here. This is my blog for old scraps and unfinished ideas, and chill little arts. I made this blog when I was rlly depressed but now I’m pretending im a lil scrapyard runner and my reblogs are lil treasures I find. Just to be safe, this blogs content tends toward the 18+ range. I tag nsfw.Arts can be found @saffron-gold-starlight (Underverse/Undertale) and @saffron-stardust (original)
about to call yearning and agonizing over unfulfillable desires “feeling the weight of my dreams.” i know the song has a positive tone but “yearning” is too soft and distant i am feeling the weight of my dreams right here and now.
My sin I must confess….sometimes whether or not I give elecman his unicorn horn or not…..is entirely dependent on what would suit the composition better
“phones are disrupting natural sleep cycles” I mean true but also bold of you to assume I had one before the tech boom lol catch me out here reading chapter books by the light of my light up pens in the third grade
i get really irritable when, even when in good faith, industry artists tell beginner artists they shouldn't focus on fanart and that it will damage their careers
i get irritable when i see young artists in the comments get heartbroken like 'oh... maybe i should rethink my art then.'
when you're hired to work for someone else, you are creating art that is not your own design. you are creating art developed by someone else. that is EXACTLY what you do with fanart. and everything is based off everything else, there are no completely 'original' ideas.
also thinking about your art solely in a 'career' sense is even more harmful. having them constantly worry about having a 'following' is harmful. thinking of artists as 'content creators' and nothing more is harmful. make whatever the hell makes you happy, that's the important part.
