Dear anon who sent me this,
You shall celebrate because now I have every right to say that the twins have a special bond with Arlecchino just like she has with their dad and auntie.
I must say, though, they don’t call her by Grandfather or similar. I honestly think she wouldn’t appreciate it and neither it sounds good haha. But sometimes they call her by Father or just by Arlecchino as she herself told to be called.
Expect a family member who seems to be cold and distant but silently loves and cares for the kids. Someone who gives them gifts when they succeed something, who look forward to their future and clean their path so nothing gets on their way.
I would like to ask what the relationship between Lyney's children and Arlecchino would be like.
They would treat her like a grandmother? 🥺
I've been thinking a lot about this!! So far I find Arlecchino' intentions and persona the harddest to figure out, so I fear that if I describe her as caring and maternal I could have been misunderstanding her.
However, in the beginning she didn't mind too much because Lyney is an adult and he's responsible for his choices. As long as he attends her expectations, his private life will be on its own. That said, she was okay but she didn't say anything else.
But as the twins grows its inevitable for her not putting them under her wings. House of Hearth is a family, and a family takes care of each other.
As time pass by is noticible how much she enjoys to visit reader's home and the twins. Corinne and Quentin aren't that affectionable with her but they do respect and like her a lot. Mainly because she's always bringing a new gift for them.
And no, for now they don't call her grandma or grandfather hahah
What I can tell you now is: words of affirmation and touch definitely aren't her love languages but giving presents. A lot of them.

Arlecchino is a great paternal/maternal figure and she deeply cares for Corinne and Quentin.
Not only because the twins are her child’ children but simply because she has a soft spot for them. Of course, it’s indisputable to say she has her own way to show it but she’s trying her best and that’s the important. At least, it is for Corinne and Quentin.
The reason why she preferred to step back than say something when he announced your pregnancy was because she was afraid Lyney would go through the same pain she went through when she inherited House of Hearth’ leadership and the new title of Father. She remember of every kid she took under her wing and every kid she eventually had to let go, that being a scar she carries with her still this day. She doesn’t want the same for him as she knows Lyney so well, much aware he wouldn’t be able to handle if something happens to his own blood. Nonetheless, her children are their own person and their decisions are only theirs.
So, even from shadows she keeps taking care of every member of the House, and with the new additions to the family it wouldn’t be different. Arlecchino likes to think the twins are a small fraction of a bright future. A weak, soft light in the dark. And such must be cared and preserved.

Got me thinking
Would there be any kind of romantic relationship between kamisatos children and kaedeharas
To be honest with you so far I haven’t planned anything for Ayato or any other character beside the current ones I’m working with.
Buuut, now that anonymous brought this topic I feel like the head girl would match Kazumi perfectly (?!) because I can see her already being a bit too serious but elegant and hardworking. And since Kazumi tends to be silly and mischievous, their differences would make them a great couple!

I think dad ayato would have 3 kids, 2 twin girls and 1 boy🙋🏻♀️
Suddenly this makes a lot of sense in my head!
Picture with me: All of his kids are heirs of the Kamisato clan but I feel like one of the twins would take this duty more seriously and eventually she’d become the next head and her twin and little brother would serve as her counselors.
ALSO! They’d be great friends with the Kaedehara’s kids and I even have a headcanon in my head where Kazumi works directly with Ayato.

Just pictured a scenario of Corinne and Quentin (Lyney’s twins) acting like siblings and I can’t stop giggling now.
Quentin isn’t a type of brother who annoys his twin sister, but sometimes not even him can’t control his teenager boy behavior, and so, he find satisfaction in teasing Corinne around; like faking punching her, suffocating her in his embrace or saying things like “does it make you upset?”, “are you irritated now?”, “hey Anne, give me attention”, and poor girl just want to be let alone.
Mostly of the times she just ignores him, letting Quentin talk or playing alone. But there’s sometimes that she can’t stand her twin brother and start to bickering him back, throwing pillows, clothes or anything she has on her hands in the process. If she’s on her period every potential weapon has to be hidden from her, otherwise she chase her brother with it while Quentin cries for forgiveness and help.
At first, Lyney would be worried about it since he doesn’t have memories of fighting with Lynette. However, as time pass by, he understands their children had a different childhood from his, and so, their relationship was as unique as him and his twin sister. So you could say he wouldn’t be so alarmed anymore when their kids started a scene and he’d only stop them when there was chance of them getting harmed.
