𝖍𝖔𝖒𝖊.
Inkirh's landscape is mostly stone, blemished by molten scars, and eternally bathed in a red glow. Without natural sunlight, Inkirh is a difficult place to live for most living creatures. Some may find comfort betwixt the impossibly tall buildings carved into its cavernous maw (built so tall to support the very ground above them) but only because it is out of the way of its more dangerous inhabitants. Sunlight seldom reaches the depths of Inkirh, but when it does, its denizens scurry like rats to bathe in its light. Inkirh is home to creatures, not man.
Close to the southern walls sits Haimelheim Keep, where its titular family reside. It is an impenetrable fortress atop an intricate network of dungeons with its 'heart' right at the core, throne room close by. If you sight the lich outside of his library, the throne room is where you'll find him. Lounging, legs cast over the side arm and head laid back over the other reading from a book held precariously above his face. He is not a cruel king, but is an immature one. He will not cast out a merchant for providing him with subpar merchandise, but it is a great sin to leave without amusing him first. His throne room is littered with keepsakes of his travels across Inkirh: an ancient tablet that should not have been removed, scripture of a dead language that no one longer speaks, a tapestry pilfered from one of his grandfather's many tirades, the skull of his prized demon pet - the list goes on. He has a slight hoarding problem.
His private chambers tell a similar story, albeit more intimate. The king hoards keepsakes - a lock of his late mother's hair, his grandfather's helmet, his brother's baby blanket - and dozens upon dozens of tattered books. Books tattered from a love of poring over them. And finally, an ornately framed mirror upon a vanity. Its a shrine to himself, housing a jewel encrusted hairbrush for his crimson tresses, vials of decadently scented oils - all superfluous means to tend to his glamour. The Hellscape Greatsword sits on the wall, proudly above his bed frame. Of course, Yanric's private chambers are off limits to all but himself.

no god-modding/power-play; as the antagonist, yanric is ridiculously op in his original canon. liches are undead, ascended magic users. i don't intend to write fight scenes but of course i won't do any injury without checking with you first!
