sometimes your owns against homo/transphobes arent funny enough to warrant consciously reminding me that people hate me for immutable characteristics about myself
obsessed with my partners cishet friend because he is literally only friends with transmascs. don't call yourself a cis ally unless 90% of your circle is trans
All the GWitch Blu-Ray/DVD volumes have been really cool, but I just keep coming back to one little bit of this one. I can't help it, it's just so cute having Nika and Chuchu on the same cover.
But anyways, the reason I keep coming back to these two is because of the special booklet featured in this volume of the BD release. Just look at the graphic design for its cover, it's so good!
It perfectly adapts the BD volume cover of duo. The way the color schemes are represented is perfect, and the angular style that still preserves their original designs is outstanding. The little cutout circle in the top right for Chuchu's hair, the hand on Nika's shoulder that plays into that cutout as well, even the way that Chuchu's colors are leaning into Nika's. So many great details and and pieces to preserve the style of the BD cover in such a minimalist representation.
I really, really hope that the NA release gets treated to something at least a little bit similar because I'm really loving all the little extras and various pieces of these BD volumes.
I'm part of a manga translation fan group, and it's incredibly frustrating to see absolute F-tier machine translations with 0 effort put into redraws, cleaning, or making it actually look any good get seen on the same level as chapters that sometimes have literal dozens or even hundreds of hours put into them. What's the most frustrating thing is that chapters rarely get redone well, unless there's multiple groups working on them concurrently, so that rush job that looks like a fifth grader's first PS project will be representative of the author/artist's work for all time, for everyone to see. Manga scanlation is already kind of ethically and legally dubious, so I think we owe it to the people whose work we are showing to the world to represent them as best as possible.
