I wish I could claw off my skin,
I wish I was made of wax so I could mold myself into what I wish of
I wish I was beautiful in the way flowers are beautiful,
Delicate and precious.
But I am not beautiful. I am sharp and broken
I feel like the porcelain vase that you dropped and now I am shattered A million pieces of what I used to be and now I am all out of place
I am not beautiful
I am the rain on the wedding day
I am the mud you track into your house
I am the crushing weight of your fears.
I will never be beautiful
Every day I dread looking at my face My body
Everything is so terribly out of place
I will never be the same
I fear that I have become the terrible monster I fought against
