And, I’ve started working on animals. These are my brother’s pets, painted in January. Each cat has a very different personality. I’ve gone for personality rather than strict likeness.

I’ve had a go using pan pastels. Completely new media for me. So here’s my attempts at a beautiful Stockholm sunset that I had the pleasure of sitting and watching, and a sunrise.

I have done a project of drawing all of the homes I have previously lived in. Given there are 31 of them, it’s a daunting task! But here are a few.

Well May has seen a need for colour, so I’ve sploshed the paint a bit with a pizzeria display from Amalfi, my version of a portrait of Rankin for Sky Arts Portrait of the Week competition, and some experimentation with colour which I think I will over-paint or add a pen drawing of something once I get some inspiration. I think I can see 2 people swimming, or a colourful bird developing in there !
