So long as you, the mun, understand the consequences of your muse ticking off my muse your muse is allowed to be not nice to mine. Confrontation can be interesting and fun to rp! I welcome it! While you, the mun, should know better than to provoke my muse your muse might not and that’s okay! Mun does not equal muse and vice versa. When your muse provokes mine, disrespects mine, underestimates mine, I am trusting that even if your muse doesn’t know the consequences that you, the other mun, understand there are repercussions for your muse being an asshole.

you want your muse to be an ass to mine? that’s fine – just don’t whine when your muse doesn’t come out of it unscathed.

General ABO Knowledge

Here’s a basic explanation of the Omegaverse. Terms seen below: Alpha, Beta, Omega, Rut, Heat, Nesting, Scenting, Mating, Feral, Suppressants.

Alphas

Alphas are seen as the leaders of the world. They’re naturally dominant and extroverted characters, but can sometimes be overly aggressive. Alphas are seen as the workers and providers of the world.

Size - Alphas are the biggest of all the dynamics in terms of height and are known to be physically stronger as well.

Alpha males on average are a little bit bigger than female alphas.

Knot - Neither the male nor the female alpha has a uterus. They both have knots at the base of their penises. When they are aroused/engaging in intercourse they will knot their partner at the point of climax.

Knotting is supposed to increase the chances of conceiving with a mate.

Female alpha’s knot will retract when they are not aroused. Two of the most common headcanons is that a female alpha’s testicles will either be placed in the same way as a male’s or replace the spot where their ovaries would have been.

Rut - A rut, much like a heat (see “Omega”), is a mating cycle where an alpha has an intense present urge to mate and reproduce. A rut will last anywhere from two to five days, depending on the individual. During this time a healthy alpha should be knotting at least three times a day.

Scent - Alphas have a very strong sense of smell, they can scent an omega in heat from a quarter mile away. They usually smell like leather, coffee, and other harsh smells.

When in rut, an alphas scent will be very strong.

Alphas are known to be very possessive creatures. If you threaten their mate or pups, they will likely injure or try to kill you.

Alphas don’t like their mate or pups smelling like unfamiliar people and/or other alphas. They will deliberately scent their mate/pup to make sure people know that that person is theirs.

There are some headcanons that alpha females can get pregnant. Usually, people who headcanon this also add that female alphas have very high-risk pregnancies, and it is usually something people try to avoid.

Betas

Betas are pretty much humans. Male betas can impregnate but can’t be impregnated and female betas can’t impregnate but can be impregnated.

Size - Betas are in the middle of alphas and omegas when it comes to size and pretty much everything else. Both beta males and females are generally smaller than alphas and bigger than omegas.

Mating Cycle - Betas don’t have a mating cycle like alphas and omegas do (ruts and heats).

Some people headcanon that instead of having a heat, female betas will get their period.

Male betas don’t have ruts, but they can impregnate male and female omegas and female betas.

Scent - Betas have a calmer scent than alphas or omegas. They tend to smell like vanilla, hazelnut, marshmallows, and other things alike to that.

People either headcanon that betas have an increased ability to scent or a dulled down scent. I personally like the idea that betas can smell better than the other two dynamics.

Betas take up most of the population, they are far more common than alphas or omegas.

Omegas

Omegas are seen as the people who raise pups and take care of the house. They are often portrayed as being “barefoot and pregnant” and are perceived as the weaker dynamic.

Size - Omegas are the smallest and dynamic of the three.

Heat - Omegas have a mating cycle called a “heat”.

During this time they are overcome by a burning desire to be knotted/mated/impregnated.

Their temperature will usually rise and give them a fever for the entirety of the cycle.

Omegas crave safety and comfort, because of this they will nest (see “nest”).

Heats are much more intense than ruts. They will make the omega very disoriented and needy, usually impairing them in one way or another. It is strongly advised that an omega have an alpha tend to them during this time or have a responsible person they trust close by to keep an eye on them.

Heats can last from three to seven days. If a heat lasts more than a week and omega will need to be taken to the hospital to make sure they don’t get dangerously overheated or dehydrated.

Scent - Omegas are known to have a very sweet scent. They usually smell like fruits, candy, and baked goods.

When an omega is in heat their scent will become very potent.

Nesting - Nesting is something an omega will do when they are nervous/scared/in heat/pregnant. An omega will find things that smell pleasant and arrange them on their bed in a way that fits for them.

Omegas use blankets, pillows, sheets, towels, and clothes in their nests. They tend to steal clothing from their mate/family/friends and use them in their nests.

The purpose of a nest is to have a place that smells good and comforts an omega.

Teenage omegas tend to nest in closets because it’s more secluded and is harder to find.

Feral

Being feral is a state in which a dynamic is angered/scared to a point where adrenaline floods their system and they are forced to fight/run (fight or flight instincts). During this time it is very hard to communicate or reason with the person that has gone feral.

If an alpha were to touch another alpha’s mate or pup, this could cause them to go feral and fight said alpha.

If someone were to threaten an omega or their pup it would cause the omega to go feral.

Suppressants

Heat/Ruts - There are suppressants for heats and ruts, though people are not encouraged to take them for long-term use because they can lead to fertility issues.

Scent Blockers - Scent blockers are used to suppress the scent of someone. They are generally used in work or classroom situations to prevent discretion.

Scent blockers come in pill form, body and hair wash, roll on (like deodorant), and spray. The pills are much more reliable than the others stated.

If an alpha/omega pair were to go into a true mate mating cycle both their heat/rut and scent blockers (if pill form) would fail.

True Mates

On rare occasions, an alpha/omega’s chemistry will match up perfectly with one another. This makes them 100% compatible and will immediately throw them into a heat/rut cycle.

Their mating cycles together are known to be very intense.

Being true mates means an alpha/omega’s scent will smell perfect to their mate and vice versa.

Mating

Mating is when two dynamics bond together with a mating bite. Usually this is done during sex and initiated by either the alpha or dominant of the pair. To complete the mating process two people must bite each other on the neck and create a permanent mark.

Scenting

Each dynamics possess their own scent and no two people’s scent are the same. Scent glands are located on people’s heads, wrists, necks, and genitals.

Mates will scent each other for comfort and to ease anxiety.

Pups will mate their parents if they are scared, nervous, or just want attention. A parent’s scent to a pup is the most familiar and grounding thing they know because of constant exposure to it so they will usually spend a lot of time sniffing at their parents or sleeping in their parent’s nest.
