"hi, can i help you?" - "yes, actually, I'm looking for..." - "sorry" *runs*
You might think that physically running away is a response for escaping physical danger, but you can also use it to avoid awkward situations. Pesky salesman won't take a no? Just run away! People at a social event asking personal questions? Run! Don't explain anything! Just run!

So we all know that Tumblr is US-centric. But to what degree? (and can we skew the results of this poll by posting it at a time where they should be asleep?)
Fanfic is free but comments are still a kind of voluntary payment, like a tip
Comments are amazing! Even just keysmashed ones or emojis, comments make writers happy ❤️
ikea let me ask ya cause you’re cool - do authors really read and appreciate comments on the fics? specially on tumblr? 🤓
i’m so insecure and i’m always afraid of commenting cause my head tells me that the writer will think my comment is either stupid or not good enough (i don’t even know if this makes sense)
I 100% read and appreciate comments! I actually make it a point to try and reply to them all!
Totally understand the anxiety of it too, but, trust me, no normal person dislikes comments and engagement on fics overall! (There IS a different between criticism and comments, however!)
It makes me really giddy, personally, when people comment on my fics and I get a big goofy grin on my face every time!
