Seeing all the B99 gifs on your page makes me want to rewatch the show again. It’s one of my comfort shows. I love how it’s an ensemble where every pairing/grouping of characters has really well-defined and meaningful relationships. Plus it’s proof to all tv writers/showrunners that even after the main ship gets together they can still remain fun/interesting without changing their personalities or needlessly breaking them up for drama (looking at you Rookie rn).

It’s been so fun doing the rewatch! I have never watched the show start to end so I’m having a blast. It’s giving me warm and fuzzy feelings 🥹🫶🏼 And I totally agree - the chemistry of the cast means that every pairing and dynamic just works so well.

Lol Brooklyn 99 set me up for failure when it comes to relationships hahaha. I was treated so well with no random break-ups that 6x06 genuinely floored me 😞 if this had happened to 2014 Hannah (New Girl era) I would have reacted much worse to be fair, I’ve chosen optimism as a means to tackle these unfortunate events!

genuinely one of the worst things that’s happened to television in the last few years (exacerbated by streaming services) is death of Filler. going from 20 episodes to 8 because “we didn’t really need that episode where the main characters went to the beach right? it had no long lasting effect” but we DID!!! we needed to see how they act without the Big Bad Plot and to establish the dynamics between the characters and lay in the sun (do they forget sunscreen? how do they react to a thieving seagull? do they get buried in the sand or do they do the burying?). the plot isn’t everything. the action doesn’t hit as hard without the quiet moments. give us character development and our little scenes back
