so today I learned that the oldest active terrorist group (or group considered a terrorist group anyway) in France is a group of wine-makers (wiki says it was founded in 1907 which seems to be how the group identifies bc there was a major wine-maker riot that year but the actual current militant group dates to the 1970s) who protest against the importation of cheap non-French wine and like this sounds like some kinda performance art protest thingy wine-makers are doing to bring attention to their cause but no like they are actually militant and go out wearing masks destroying shipments of foreign wine and attacking the property of people connected to the importation of foreign wine and light fires and shit

Can you imagine the lack of brain cells required to tell a native person they're not actually native and, in the same breath, accuse them of faking it for "online oppressed points".
You know only white people care about oppression points, right? The rest of us are just Going Through It™️
It’s not healthy to lie about being native for oppressed points online
Good thing I don't lie about my heritage then lmao
I'm Chahta—and what are you, other than a coward?

As @untaraagent24 has already described, spectrums and sliding scales are not the same.
Tumblr media
All of these are red. They vary a bit from each other, but they're all red. None of them are less red than the other (unless you let personal preference dictate that, which is a you problem. Like most of your incomprehension on this post.)
What the original post was saying was that some people have different characteristics than others and that doesn't make them any less male or female or however they want to identify. That's the whole point, that society has a bullshit view of what constitutes the male and female sex.
Here's an example TERFs should understand: remember that one cis woman who got in trouble with the Olympics because she naturally produced more testosterone than her white competitors? Remember how fucking stupid that was? Do you remember people arguing she was less female because she produced "too much" testosterone?
She isn't less female, never has been. But because people had such a limited and bullshit view of what female means and what you HAVE TO HAVE to be regarded as a woman, she was demeaned, bullied, and humiliated on a mass scale.
If we recognized then, that sex is a spectrum (not a scale) we'd have less cis and intersex people being othered for having normal physical variations. Unfortunately, Western society defines male and female as very rigid and people who fall outside of that are often put down and ostracized, especially by our racist ass medical system.
I don't know why you're reading everything as a sliding scale, but hope this helps! I dislike TERFs quite a bit, I'm not going to lie, but you're SUPPOSED to be in support of better rights and access for cis women, correct? I'm genuinely confused as to why you're arguing in the opposite direction.
@captain-of-my-own-fate the op blocked me so my response got deleted. here it is

if sex is a spectrum, "intersex" people can't exist. there is no binary for them to exist between, they'd just be perfectly average people on the "spectrum". intersex disorders would no longer be a thing if sex were a spectrum.
same for the questions. the whole point of a spectrum is that there is at least one other distinct point (typically in the middle) that basically makes the spectrum. take the color spectrum for example. red and magenta are the endpoints, but there are several other distinct colors within this spectrum. or a political spectrum. democrats are on one side, republicans are on the other. this spectrum has at least one distinct point in the middle, which is "centrist".

Sex workers shall have free comprehensive healthcare.
Leaflets and brochures shall be printed in numerous languages, including braille.
Subtitles in theaters.
Paid maternity and paternity pay for the first two years of a child's life.
Universal basic income that's adjusted accordingly to the cost of living in different regions.
Doctors who try to cut women during childbirth without their express permission lose their license immediately and get jailed.
No more "corrective" surgery on intersex babies.
And...
Netflix is no longer allowed to have good, one season animes. Stop abandoning my blorbos. COMMIT.
That is all for now. Give my orders to the town-criers so they can scream it at the civilians.
That's it. Discourse is over. Trans women are women because I say so.

What is the reason for coming up with dumb shit questions? Do you not have access to the internet? No one mentioned a third gamete in this post—care to cite it's importance to the conversation? Intersex people are on the sex spectrum. Why are you so interested in attempting to write them off?
I'd like a full essay in MLA format as to the relevance of your questions to the topic of the conversation, as well as a doctor's note for why you are unable to do your own research and expect it so easily from others, especially where your questions deviate from the main source material. Where are your extrapolations coming from? Remember, red herring questions are not a correct form of intellectual debate, so be sure to elaborate on why they are important to the topic of conversation. Thank you and good luck. Due Monday.
Just a daily reminder that sex exists on a spectrum and chromosomes, just like every other part of our physical attributes, can vary wildly. "Female" and "male" are not as rigid and absolute as a lot of people think.
