Sometimes I randomly remember that Boromir only went to Rivendell in the first place because the road there from Gondor was full of perils and he didn’t want his beloved little brother to walk that dangerous path so he took the task upon himself like he took every task upon himself to spare Faramir and I just break down.

This shot from The Two Towers looks like a renaissance painting. Frodo lifting the Elvish rope over Gollum's neck, both of them stunned by Frodo's merciful nature. Gollum's eyes in shadow, because that is all that he has known for so long. Sam standing in the light and holding the rope, presented as the voice of reason to Frodo's voice of compassion. A pained expression on Sam's face, as if he can already foresee how this will end. Incredible cinematography.

GUYS, this is so silly
But I had a little inspiration moment, and decided to design Eowyn's wedding dress for my fanfiction. It is not supposed to look like the one in the movie.
I first analysed some of the dresses she wore and wrote down some most prominent features.
Btw, I hate my scanner. The colours are wrong (the dress is too bright) and I don't know how to fix this. And I will not render this on my computer, at least not yet. I might actually draw her in this dress later on.
Now, I have written the consensus on the top, if you can read it. I wanted to include the v-neck, the poofy sleeves and the embroidery. I also took inspiration from some of the fabrics she wore.
I decided against the earthy tones, because this is a wedding dress after all and is supposed to stand out. I then remembered this blue dress she wore, which made me happy, because wearing blue again would not be out of character for her. And the yellow one on Aragorn's coronation, so bright colours are also fair game.
The purple fabric is supposed to look a bit like the one she wore in her mourning dress on the collar. Lilac with gold embroidery.
The veil is one of the pretty flowery ones I've seen so much on Pinterest.
Mind you, I did this in like an hour and a half. The anatomy might not be the greatest, but I needed to get this out of my head.
Also, why not white, you may ask? Well, white as a wedding dress colour became a thing after 1840 and it was a symbol of status. And I decided I didn't care. So I'm making her wear blue. Like the sky.

New oc just dropped
His name is Findoron! I’ve drawn him before, but I didn’t know he would become a character - then I decided to flesh him out a little bit, and now I really like him!
He’s a Mirkwood Ranger, and he is tough, sarcastic, and young, but he’s got a chip in his shoulder a foot deep. The reason is that he has always been ostracized by the other Elves (at least the high society Elves) because of a family scandal his parents were involved in, which will likely taint his entire life (and which I will not divulge because it will be spoilers for another fan fiction I’m writing, Misfit). Still, he doesn’t let this bother him, and instead goes through life with a cheeky grin on his face and a determination to push through the dirty looks and whispers.
