What I did again
Once more just to reiterate what I worked on in drug mine, the main thing that I did was probably making the main menu, i made all the assets for that and the code. I also did all of my groups blogging, I made that song which i thought was pretty cool, I designed a level and just helped generally with various things from coding to asset design. What i would say i struggled with was finding a way to get my creative input in, as the game was already prototyped and thought out from the get go it was hard to find an area to apply my creative thoughts for drug mine.
I have to hand it to my team mate Regan though, I would say he carried the team a little bit, even from week 1 he was in the labs after class just getting our basic mechanics working all the way through till last week when it was due. I met some cool people in this project and enjoyed creating this game with my team.

These are just the source images for some patterns that I made in photoshop, for example the purple and blue background on the level i made or the yellowish background on the main menu. All it is is the rock surface images with a colour filter applied over it to make it look cool, was pretty happy with the effect created, im even using the blue and purple one as my desktop background atm.

I also made these introductory comic panels to give the story some context when the user starts the game.

My Contribution
In terms of my contribution to the project, while alex focused on the art work and regan and sebastian did a lot of the programming, I tried to help out with both of these as well as anything else that needed doing, such as blogging and other parts of the game such as the main menu that weren't already being worked on. Towards the end of the project i focused on audio and got sound effects as well as music working on the game, i also designed a level for the game. Unfortunately although I got the audio to work on my version, when we finally merged the contributions into one this stopped working due to script problems. I will be uploading a version of drug mine that just has my level to show the working audio.

Re Hand-In Problems
I was planning on getting the audio effects working in the final hand in of drug mine which i tried to do today, however the final version we handed in had some minor adjustments that were not saved before we exported. So unfortunately i could work out how to re do these adjustments on my own as well as update the audio, I ended up just leaving the original hand in that was submitted friday.

I made a song! We may include this in the main menu of the game, went for a trippy/electronic sound.

I have also been working on, and will continue to work on the level design in our game. Above is the sketch of the level i am working on, that has now been deployed into the game it self. Although there are some pixelation and roughness issues i need to touch up, before adding the additional art work that alex is currently working on.

Other elements on my groups project that I have been specifically working on is the main menu and guide. When the user opens the game this is an important part in immersing the user in the world of the game and is the first thing the user see's when they play our game.

Today I included sounds in my groups project, including attack sounds, jump sounds and foot prints. I will be adding to this over the next few days as well as working on a score/music.
