Lucas that’s great! I know you were getting terribly antsy and home sick. So it sounds like the first thing you’re gonna do is spoon with your pillows and roll around gleefully on the mattress.

Uh.. business and pleasure. It was for a non-profit called Facing Africa. It was really amazing. Except for the hippos. I am terrified of them and their teeth. 

A two-for-one, you lucky duck. There are so many great non profits out there, I wish I could give to them all. How long were you there for? Ah well that fear just shows you’re a smart man.

There goes my excuse to make a Target run, but I’m sure I’ll end up there for one reason or another so it’s all good. I was thiking I’d take a chance on the new Chinese place in the neighborhood. Only school musical I was ever in. I am always feeling adventurous when it comes to food!! And I think we’re all off tomorrow so we can break in the kitchen properly with some pancakes and eggs.

I’ve cried my fair share of happy tears when Aless has stayed in the guest room and I’ve woken up to find Brianna sneaking cuddles. I also cried during our proposal… pretty sure I even did the day I picked up her ring.

I’m quite calm, bit excited but mostly calm. I’m just quite confident this is the person I’m meant to share my life with.

Well now I feel less like an emotional goober. You know I never got the story of the proposal, did you take her somewhere special like where you had her first date. Did you hide the ring in dessert?

For what it’s worth I agree. You and Aless, you have this steady link that is so palpable it can be felt through 1′s and 0′s on the computer screen of a person in another end of LA. I think that says a lot.

Well I actually spent most of my time operating. But the day we spent on safari was amazing. I met a giraffe and he was terrifying. And then I saw a hippo.. which was also terrifying. 

Oh so it was a business trip then. Do you work with doctors without borders or another organization like it? Oh god, yes, I’ve heard Hippos are one of the most dangerous animals ever.

You are so very lovely Callie, thank you. I cried a little when I tried on the dress on Saturday, only because I love it so much. I hope one day Brianna will keep a piece of it to wear on her wedding day. It’s now hanging very carefully from my curtain rail in my apartment, ready for us to leave late on Sunday night. I cannot wait to celebrate with everyone! How is everything going with the move into your place? Are you all settled? We will have to make sure we bring you back a house warming gift from Italy. 

And are you and Micah staying in Italy for the honeymoon as well, or do you have another destination in mind? Oh I can’t wait to see all the pictures of it, I’m sure you’ll look absolutely dazzling. The move went great, we’re down to only a handful of unessential boxes leftover, the important stuff is all settled in. Oh that is so very sweet of you. It can be a swap, because I have a wedding gift for you as well.

Nothing compares to family time. I mean . . . I feel like Jesse and Annie have been my family since the day I met them, but having this house, or house together, it just solidifies it in this way that makes me want to laugh and happy cry all at once.

I’m still debating on who actually won that dance party though….I’m out and about picking up some things from the hardware store and what not. Should I grab us some food while I’m out on the prowl?

Annie won it, hands down. Though you came in close second with all those footloose moves. Yesss, food is good. We found the box with the plates after you left so all the kitchenware is accounted for now.

I am running on adrenaline at the moment, filled with nerves most of the time… not about the wedding, more that I want everyone to have a wonderful time with us. Brianna and I designed the wedding dress and the flower girl dress together, no one else has seen the design but Bri. I’m nervous to see what everyone will think of it!

Oh what a lovely thing for you and Bri to have that designing experience between you as a surprise for everyone else. That must make the fabric feel every bit more profound against your skin. She’s probably so excited to be a flower girl I imagine. Aless I can tell you with absolute certainty that everyone will love it. If the dresses were designed from love, then mixed with the joy I’m sure you’ll be emitting it’s going to look simply exquisite.

It seems such a small trifling thing. But the warm water, some soothing scented bubbles, a candle or two, maybe a book or some music, it just lets you relax for a while. We’re all doing fine, settling into the new house, navigating a sea of boxes.

Yeah… I suppose he could have. But I live dangerously. We were in a big sanctuary. It was really amazing. I met my spirit animal.

I am so jealous and I want a million pictures so I can live vicariously through you. Were the lions your favorite part? What other animals did you get to play with?

Unpacking was so boring when I first moved to La on my own. I procrastinated because I was overwhelmed. Now I’m procrastinating because Jesse and Annie and I keep getting distracted with bubble wrap fights and dance parties.

I have been through a lot, but few things are worse than never getting to physically comfort your kid when they can’t even eat or breathe by themselves. I told myself I’d make some “me time” today… whatever “me time” is, just to get out of work and the hospital and try to clear my head. Suggestions?

“Me time” is whatever you need it to be. Sometimes it’s having a good cry, sometimes it’s binge watching a tv series or doing something to take your mind off of it. Me time for me is usually a bubble bath and music.

Even tired you look like you belong on a magazine cover. Ohhhh a last dress fitting, are you so excited? Do you have butterflies. I remember having the most insane butterflies when I got a bridesmaid dress fitted a few years back, I can’t begin to imagine what it feels like to do it with a wedding gown.

Today was my last day of work for a month! As you can tell by my tired face, I certainly need the break! I am heading into the city tomorrow for a last dress fitting and then out for lunch, would anyone like to join me?

Well everyone, I am back home from an exciting mission trip. I am covered in bug bites and sunburns, and I couldn’t be happier. I can’t wait to see you all and to meet the new people I see. 

Oh my god that’s a lion. You’re pulling on a lion’s tail. I know it’s a baby but couldn’t it have swiped at you and hurt you? Even little baby lion paws have sharp claws. Is this a wild lion or where you at a zoo or sanctuary of sorts?

Wednesday said that this was what I looked like. So, I want to take her for ice cream to get her mind off how miserable some things are in our lives right now. Anyone want to join us?

She’s breaking my heart with that face. I probably missed your ice cream run but maybe sometime you me, her and Annie could have a girls day out, go see a movie, grab some lunch, get our nails painted or something luxurious.

I’ve come to realize that the Site has become an output for me in terms of what happened behind the scenes of photoshoots and the such, and in that realization I also realized that, that isn’t going to change. Oops? Oops.

With that being said, only in my dreams do I stand on several metallic men. I also have so many layers of spanx on that breathing was nearly impossible, but not quite. And let me tell you a thing about not pushing my arm accidentally through one of the straps ‘cause it took about three times and a nipslip for me to get it on properly.

How’s life on this end?

This photo is phenomenal, oh my gosh. What was it for, like was it a spot for a brand or a magazine or something? I wanna know where I can go to find the whole photoshoot and be like I KNOW HER. You look absolutely stunning.

Life is fabulous on my end. Jesse and I officially moved into our new house, wait till you see it! We’re gonna throw a housewarming party soon.
