Dnd!Sam never hated Cala.
He honestly never did.
The only reason why he’s after her is because she escaped with Dream, and he believes he’s doing the right thing by dragging them both back into the Vault.
But that changes slightly when he finds out that Cala’s Party encountered the construct he had made to help around as well as protect Tommy during what had happened ten years ago.
Sam Nook.
He had constantly upgraded Sam Nook to help around and wander when needed, so he knew at some point they would encounter him. He gave Sam Nook the order to detain them all by any means necessary and then contact him so he can teleport over there and take them back to the Vault.
He expected Cala to be reasonable and at least either run away or turn herself in,
But he didn’t expect her to damage his creation.
They didn’t destroy him, but instead he found out through the construct himself that Cala managed to take out his “eyes”, making him blind and unable to fight them.
And for once— his reasoning for Cala is thrown out the window and he is instantly pissed.
And he instantly sees her more than an annoyance,
More than a threat—
But a problem that needs to be taken out fast with no hesitation.
After all, the Oath of Vengeance states that he needs to stop evil by any means necessary
And in his eyes he sees her as evil.
