The Aerith outfit on the left (the red one) is the one I prefer for her.
The one on the right (the frilly blue one) is the one that was released with her weapon (pictured in both).
Truly she is a majestic creature...

I was playing some Ever Crisis on my laptop- because it can run the game pretty well and I have been enjoying it on my phone- when my brain began thinking about Vincent, as it is wont to do, and their relationship with Aerith and Ifalna.
Why can I picture Vincent and Ifalna being friends? Mutual bonding over an intense dislike of Hojo + having to take care of their kiddos.
Vincent steals Sephiroth and flees after they sufficiently recover from the experiments only to run into Aerith and Ifalna who are also on the run. They, initially, don't want to bother them but they realise it would be safer if they stuck together so they agree to travel with Ifalna and Aerith whilst undoing the brainwashing Hojo inflicted upon Sephiroth.
They end up teaching Aerith, much to Ifalna's horror/amusement, how to shoot their smaller guns which only fuels Aerith's natural gremlin-child nature. Vincent doesn't need sleep or much food so they can keep watch for days on end, which is a comfort to Ifalna and Aerith. They also encourage Aerith's more chaos-gremlin side behind her mother's back, hoping to help her and Sephiroth bond. It goes about as well as you'd expect.
They'd go so far as to reveal themself to the Turks to get them to feck off and leave their new friend and her daughter alone.
Galian gets used as a pony/bed for Aerith because she, obviously, isn't scared of the big beastie at all. Galian doesn't mind.

I'm truly tempted to do a massive overhaul/refresh of Vincent to try and encourage myself to pick up roleplaying again.
Their information is so jumbled and confused at this point that a mass refresh is much needed to organise everything.
So that is what I will probably do in the next few days once I finish catching my sister up on Genshin quests.
If there is anything you want clarification on or just want to know about my take on Vincent then feel free to send me an ask or DM me. I'll be happy to answer questions and provide clarifications where they are needed.

Took this chance to finish what I started with Diluc's mother. She has had a near complete overhaul. A lot of information has changed and very little about her has remained the same.
So!
Her name is now Magdalena Konstantinovna Ragnvindr (n茅e Imunlaukr) and she is the widow of Crepus Ragnvindr.
She is still the biological mother of Diluc Ragnvindr and the adopted mother of Kaeya Alberich.
She is a powerful witch who is affiliated with the Hexenzirkel.
Magdalena is a cutthroat business woman who uses all her charm to give the Dawn Winery it's unsullied, sparkling reputation as a leader in the Wine Industry of Mondstadt as well as promoting it in other nations.
She does, however, have a fiery temper that managed to get her an audience with the Tsaritsa when she was in Snezhnaya. Her temper was so great that she scared the guards, who had initially apprehended her for her ties to Diluc, into submitting to her demands.
Her faceclaim has changed from Mila Babicheva to Irene Belserion to better suit the fantasy setting of Genshin as well as to align her more with the whole witch side of her. Also because Irene is hot and I will not apologise for letting the bisexual side of myself indulge in the pretty woman. World hard and cold, tiddy soft and warm.

Vincent was a horse person as a kid through teenager.
They love horses but cannot stand chocobos for reasons unknown to even them.
Give Vincent a horse and they'll treasure it. Give Vincent a chocobo and watch as they get into an intense staring match with it whilst imagining how good it would feel to make it into KFC.

Honestly thinking of changing my take on Diluc's mother...
I love her as she is right now, don't get me wrong, but I just feel as though I need to refresh her almost entirely...
This includes changing her faceclaim and possibly her name; she deserves a bit of a change and I have ideas...

Torn between two different versions of Vincent for a FNAF Movie AU or whatever...
Dead Vincent - A teenager who was forced to break into a Freddy's restaurant whilst being chased by their maniac of a father. Was then too injured to escape the clutches of the animatronics and were subsequently killed by the robots. Doesn't possess anything and likes to fuck about with the guards; ultimately being harmless towards them and helping them as much as they can. Weaker than the children as they do not possess a physical object but are bound to the restaurant by their remnant (agony) and their desire to hunt down their father for what he did to them.
Alive(?) Vincent - A young-looking person of mysterious origin who worked as a day shift security guard during the Missing Children's Incident in the 80s. Became increasingly suspicious of 'Steve Raglan' and quit their job as a guard entirely a few years before Mike picked up the nightshift. Leaves cryptic messages in the form of answering machine messages in the security office; each containing helpful advice on survival at the restaurant as they were the only one- aside from Mike- to survive their time on the nightshift. May be related to either the Schmidt family or the Aftons in some capacity.
Don't know what to do. If anyone has an opinion on what one interests them more then let me know; I'm curious.

I have 2 ideas for FNAF Stuff...
A - I use an OC and keep her lore entirely fixed on the first FNAF Movie until a second one is released; at which point I'll update her info. She'd be a victim of William's or the missing children.
B - I use Vincent and combine a FNAF AU and a Ghost AU into one; making them a victim of the missing kids/their father.
-
I'd feel more comfortable using Vincent, but I could implement both quite easily. It all comes down to what people would be more interested in seeing/interacting with.

Vincent's age in their Modern!AU has been giving me so many problems...
On one hand, I want to remain accurate to their canonical birthday but in doing so I end up making them somewhere in the realm of 73 (based on if the AU happens to take place this year) or 61 (based on the real-life equivalent year to Dirge of Cerberus which is 2011). While this is fine- to a degree- it leaves the subject of their children's ages up in the air and it means I'm torn between making them accurately old or taking some creative liberties with how they age in their Modern!AU.
I could strike a better balance by firmly planting them at either 42 or 47. This means I can better keep up with their kids' ages and have more leeway for interactions. All of this is to say that I continue to be a stupid motherfucker and any advice you could give or insights you may have about this whole situation would be greatly appreciated.

I did- a while ago- have the idea for a Ghost Verse for Vincent
Tbh may just make that a thing because the concept of a sad, lonely teenage ghost who tries to protect the living that come to do paranormal investigations from their very angry mother and sisters is speaking to me rn
Also because it means I get to inflict more angst on Vincent and make their father even more of a bastard; not that I really needed to do that...

The only question that remains is: Modern!AU or FFXVI!AU?

I have quite a bit to do and I sorta have to figure out where to start lol
Semi-Primed Vincent (For all 3 of their FFXVI Verses)
Vincent's kiddos (All AUs)
More Modern!AU Marc headcanons
Re-hashing info for Vincent's Modern!AU
Updating the information for Vincent's Consort!Verse and their FFXV AU
Updating Noelle's information
Overhauling Persephone's information
Explaining Vincent's curse in more detail (FFXVI AU)
Possibly- if I feel like it- adding a Hanahaki!AU to Marc

Marc has- in the past- climbed to the tallest spire on the palace in Oriflamme and sat there for hours.
He did it impulsively and made the palace guards freak out because he was balancing on a thin outcropping while observing the sky.
It took Bahamut appearing to finally get him off the thing and instead of flying down with Terence- who managed to order him off the spire whilst on Bahamut's back- he simply slid off the domed roof. He ended up free-falling around 150ft before landing perfectly in the courtyard on his paws.
The idiot did end up with a broken ankle as well as a massive scolding from both Dion and Terence but he didn't regret doing it at all. In fact, he would do it again only a year later much to his prince's chagrin.
He has since stopped giving the people he cares about heart attacks by leaping off tall buildings (in front of them at any rate).

I feel like a part of Vincent that I need to address is the whole Sephiroth thing and- in turn- the rest of their kids. There are a few more than before; some of them have had their origins changed to better fit newer headcanons. This post applies primarily to Vincent's main FF7 AU.
-
Vincent is Sephiroth's biological parent; that has always been my personal headcanon and it will always be my personal headcanon even if the canon itself proves me wrong.
There is- however- a major problem with this headcanon that has since come up. As Vincent is trans, there is no logical way to make them his "father" since it was Lucrecia who carried Seph and not Vincent and they couldn't just make Seph naturally either.
Fortunately, I've had a while to think about it and I may have come up with a solution. It is far from elegant but I think it may just work to explain a lot of plotholes that were created because of that massive change to Vincent.
Sephiroth was a science baby; so it isn't too far out of the realm of possibility that Lucrecia never actually slept with Hojo and they instead went the route of using science to create a genetically perfect child. Hence the reason Seph came out so good in the end.
Lucrecia used her own DNA and opted to use Vincent's to create Sephiroth. When Sephiroth was born, Vincent was named as his "father" on his birth certificate despite Hojo being married to Lucrecia.

If there were any muses on this blog that would even come close to fitting the bill for a Hanahaki thread/verse then it would be Marc.
He fits a lot of the requirements for the disease by default and I'm kinda surprised I didn't think of it sooner.
This would only really apply to Dion and Terence lmao
-
If this becomes something I want to explore then I will just make a note that Dion would be represented by purple Wyvern Tails because the white variant is representative of Sanbreque as a whole rather than just him.
Terence was a bit harder to nail down but I think that he'd probably be represented by red carnations; which is more of a representation of how Marc feels about him rather than something that embodies Terence as a person.
-
However, if we go down the route of the flowers representing either the person or Marc's feelings for that person then things change a bit.
If the flowers represent the person then Dion would be purple wyvern tails and Terence would probably be irises as they represent unswerving loyalty, faith and wisdom.
If the flowers represent how Marc feels about the person then Dion would be represented by pink camellias and Terence would be represented by red carnations; both flowers meaning something akin to longing for that person romantically.

Friendly reminder that if Marc starts giving your muses gifts and it isn't their birthday/Christmas then there is a good chance that he likes them.
Giving gifts is his love language and he will absolutely drown your muse in things he thinks they will like.
He has very specific things that belonged to his parents and grandparents that will only ever be given to potential romantic partners (which I'll specifically call out when that happens).
His species is very strict about courting rituals and he is no exception. Marc values tradition because it is all he really has left but that doesn't mean he'll completely overlook your muse's take on romance/courting.

Half tempted to make Grimoire- Vincent's dear old dad- alive in their FFXVI AU for an added layer of pain...
The man is far from a nice person.
Vincent is both afraid of and rightly enraged by his existence; I mean being the victim of his twisted attempts to make a false Eikon as well as being permanently maimed by him definitely had an impact on that.
This is what has been in my brain for the last like 4 or 5 hours lol
